KSI Spring 2018 Donation Drive   05/09/2018

If KSI has made a difference in your life and you want to make a greater difference in the community, please donate here. Every donation that KSI receives is immediately put toward tournaments, events and site upgrades that improve the KSI experience for all members. “The members are KSI’s driving force, and this donation drive is an opportunity to play a larger role in creating the future of KSI,” Chief Operating Officer KSI ImPyyy 7 said. “We’re continuing our efforts to make our events and support structure bigger and better than ever, and every donation goes toward that goal.” The emphasis of this drive is improving the swag we will be giving away for Spirit Week, as well as making some necessary improvements to our server/sites. However, no donation drive has ever had the rewards and incentives this drive has. During the current donation drive, any member who donates $75 or more will receive their own customized group on the forums, complete with unique color and sprite image next to their display name. Anyone who gives *any* amount — through donations, bits, or subscriptions to KSILive — is eligible for a VIP-only event that will be hosted at Spirit Week. Should you feel usual donations are too much, but still want to contribute, you can subscribe to our Twitch channel, KSILive. All subscribers will still receive a Twitch Sub award, the “I ❤️ KSILive” group, and be entered into the VIP only event at Spirit Week. This will allow members to show off the perks of contributing more to the community. As always, despite the rewards for higher-level awards, there are still perks for those who aren’t able to reach that threshold. Any and all donations will be thanked and rewarded with the “I ❤ KSI” member group on the forums, ‘Spring Chicken’ donation award, as well as specific tiered forums awards based upon the amount donated.  The awards will be: Platinum $1-$25
      Diamond, $26-$74
Oynx $75 Thank you, KSI Web Staff

Last August when I went down to Huntsville to meet up with my fellow admins and my Bruhbruhs @Cero and @KSI Ace 7, was really when I started to get to know Kitty and Gambit. We were celebrating our birthdays and I was drinking like a fish. Considering how cancerous I probably was, I'm surprised they took the time to even get to know me. Little did I know I would be meeting this generations Doc(work ethic wise, they are not meme lords). Every few years or so, a few people pop up on our radar because they are literally everywhere in KSI. From promising future clan ops leaders to potential admins and board members. Over the almost year that I have had the pleasure to get to know them, they have been an integral part of many, almost all of the web ops departments in this community. They are currently heading one of the most active and successful TnE's since Fuzzy, Jess, and I were doing Friday Night Fights(Precursor to the current TnE) way back in the day. Because of his experience with TnE, Gambit has also parlayed that into reviving Head Hunters, which is doing great for most part, outside of a few hiccups which are to be expected. I might be alittle biased here, as I was forced....I mean gladly joined as DM as an honorary member in TItan, but they both headed one of KSI most successful divisions in years. DM has had some great leaders to come from it, looking at you @KSI Greg 7 ™. DM has had it's issues over the years, but it always comes back stronger and produces very promising leaders. Kitty and Gambit will without a doubt become senior directors one day, and leave a great mark on the history of this community. I'm a better person for knowing them both and can say that without them, the last few months would have been much darker for me personally. My grandmother is currently battling cancer(bladder cancer) for the 2nd time, she beat breast cancer before I was born and I my job is a big bag of feel's bad man right now. While I still do lurk in my batcave quite a bit, they always check on me and fooling around with them and Para nightly has keep most of the darkness at bay. Well them and UberEats/Bitesquad, I may be a fatty! I think Kitt Kat and Nugget deserve gold lvl 3 and most outstanding for their hard work and dedication to this community and dealing with me on daily basis. After 10 years of being in this community, I am a handful and being able to wrangle me, handle their clan ops responsibilities, and all of the department ops....They are over deserving of these achievements and I'm blessed to call them my big sister and little brother. P.S. If they don't get these award, I will fire this entire department and lock Riot in my basement with Luci.....jk.....maybe....probably!

When we talk about outstanding service we’re talking about those who go above and beyond what is required and this is what KSI Gary 7 does on a daily basis. Division leaders are expected to be patient, make tough decisions, be a role model for their division, uphold the code of conduct, be professional, exhibit positivity, being active with the div, and in general being a leader to all in the division, well Gary easily does all of that. So what does he do that’s outstanding? He has been the binding factor for this division since its birth from the merger of LW & DR, staying up late into the late hours of the night to deal with any issues that may arise. He has put his blood, sweat, and tears (many tears) into making sure this division keeps running smooth, and more importantly excelling. Divine Warriors as blown up since the turn of the year, growing almost +80 plus members, skyrocketing in Activity, and taking KSI by storm. All of this has been under the leadership and hard work of Gary. I have worked with many divisions in my time in KSI, and quite a few leaders, and Gary is the perfect role model of what I would hope for from every leader in KSI. He has built this division into a powerhouse, making sure to work with all other leaders to cultivate success around every corner. Simply put, Gary’s career is outstanding service.

    Bmp's Blacklisting/Evidence

My humble two cents: After watching those three videos, I was shocked to the core (for both the bad and the good). The bad: TL:DR, on its face, it's painfully obvious by what's said/done. The good: Whoever made the conscious decision to record those conversations on Xbox Live - ensuring the party chat overlay was turned on and switching screens to show party members - I truly thank you. Realizing the serious harm that would come about if the individuals in the videos remained unnoticed/unchecked, you made a decision and did the right thing. If you're a KSI member, you obviously know the definition of integrity and your actions reflect great credit upon yourself. We all owe you one! Fuzzy - Thanks for posting the above for members to allow for transparency from the highest levels of this community. Much appreciated. Cheers.

I would be more than glad to witness for this award. Kitty has been outstanding ( as the name of the award implies) since the day I joined KSI and for a year now she has been nothing short of spectacular. Everything she does, she puts 110% into it and nothing less and if there's ever a problem or issue, she is always the one to get to it first and try to resolve it. Her knowledge and information on KSI is vast and she never falters or second guesses anything that she does. The success DM has today has to be tied with the fact that kitty has always gone above and beyond for not only the division, but for members individually. You can always find her mingling with everybody in DM and always makes each new member feel welcomed. The amount of dedication she has for KSI is second to none and it is shown by the amount of respect her peers give her. Her recent promotion to director is one of the few things she accomplished and will accomplish in KSI. I can't wait to see what else she brings into KSI and how far she will go in this community. I can't think of anyone that deserves this award more than she does.

I'll witness. True has always been heavily involved in this community, but it's only recently that I've gotten to know her. Initially PO adapted some of her guides that were written in the past for community wide use. Now she is a member of the Community Development Committee and is helping to create the materials that will be used by future members and leaders of KSI. She has been dedicated to this process and is truly ensuring that anything produced is of the highest quality possible. She's always looking for new ways to be involved and contribute to the betterment of our collective future. I have no doubt that she will continue to do so as she finds new ways to be involved and contribute.

New Member Workshop: A Beginner's Guide to KSI Workshop Introduction: This workshop is designed to provide trainers with the tools necessary to make every new member's introduction to KSI as succesful as possible. Historically, when members are recruited, they are given the crash course to what this community is, what is does, and what their role in it could look like. Nevertheless, time has shown us that this has not always been sufficient, and at times, detrimental to the overall quality of our community. We hope that this new guide to membership in KSI will ensure that all community members start of on the right foot, with the knowledge that they will need to take their new environment by storm. The information that they will be introduced to throughout includes things such as the Code of Conduct, Rank Structure, elements of the Standard Operating Procedures, KSI's Open Door and Harassment Policies, the Forums, and the way departments function within the community. While there is an infinite amount of material that could have been included, this is perhaps the most important, and most relevant. In time, the hope is that much of the importance that has been placed on the initial recruitment can be moved to this workshop. A recruiters job is to promote our community, and the benefits it provides to potential members, and their friends. Once that has happened, it is also their job to bring them into the fold, while also giving them the tiniest slice of information necessary to let them proceed with membership. As a trainer, it is your job to build on that, training new recruits to the fullest extent possible on all of the information that is critical for our future members, leaders, and mentors. Additionally, this workshop is not meant to be read word for word. As the trainer, you should read through it, take in the information, and find the best way to deliver it, just as will be stated throughout the information we are about to discuss. Workshop Occurrence: This workshop will be offered on a rotating basis. Specific dates and occurrences will be listed on the monthly workshop calendar created by the Human Resources Department. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Before we Begin (Pre-Workshop Conversation Starters and Discussion Topics) The Following questions may be used as a conversation starter before beginning your workshop. Before being recruited into KSI, had you ever had any experience with other gaming communities, or clans? If you have had any experiences such as this, what were your communities, or clans like? Why did you join KSI? How was your recruitment into KSI? What do you remember most about it? Does anything stick out in your mind? Did you have any questions that your recruiter wasn't able to answer at the time? Moving forward, what do you hope to get out of the community? What are your goals? ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Core of the Program (Workshop Topics, Progression, and Key Points) Workshop Curriculum Introduction: The topics listed below represent the information most critical to new members in KSI. Throughout the workshop you will cover a wide range of topics from the Code of Conduct, to how the forums function. At all times, keep in mind that the people you are talking to our still new arrivals to our community. While it is important you cover the topics below in detail, it's also important to read the room, and know your audience. In many ways these are still members who are still deciding if they want to be in KSI long term or not. Keep that in mind, and make sure that the way your present this workshop, and the way that you go about hosting it, still allow for a fun, collaborative, and open learning environment. Keep them interested, while at the same time sparking a lasting interest in KSI. Important Workshop Technical Note: This workshop will be interactive, meaning that as you go through the information, participants should follow along on both www.KSIGlobal.org and www.KSIForums.org. You will go over the information as listed below, but also direct them to where they might find it themselves in the future. Because of this, before beginning the workshop please walk your participants through signing up for the forums if they have not already done so. To get credit for completing this curriculum, they must be on the forums throughout the process. 1. The KSI Code of Conduct, and Why It's Important: The KSI Code of Conduct is a set of rules outlining the social norms and responsibilities of an individual or organization. Each person recruited into KSI is expected to follow and uphold all principles and values, while developing their leadership skills. This code of conduct clarifies our community's mission, and in doing so, defines the overall desired behavior of all current and future members. The CoC can be found here: http://www.ksiforums.org/topic/35279-code-of-conduct/ 2. KSI Rank Structure: In order to provide a more organized experience for those who join our community, KSI members are placed in a semi military fashioned rank structure, in which one's rank represents that member's status in this community. For all respective purposes, this rank structure is separated into a multi-tiered system in the following order, from highest rank to the lowest: Multi-Divisional or Community Level Divisional Level Multi-Squad Level Squad Level Each of these tiers are then broken down into several ranks. The full breakdown of rank structure and organization can be found in the quote box below. All you need to do is click the arrow to expand the information inside. Descriptions and duties involved with each rank can be found here: http://www.ksiglobal.org/portfolio/rankstructure/ How to recognize rank: The 7 suffix in gamer-tags refers to KSI Leaders who have attained the rank of Co-Founder or higher in the past, or present. However, we do have some leaders not currently in those leadership positions who hold a 7 in their name. In general, no member should have a 7 in their name unless they currently hold a position equal to Co-Founder or higher, or have previously held such as position. 3. KSI Clan Ops Structure As briefly touched on during the Rank Structure portion of this workshop, KSI is broken down into certain structures, and areas. As a new member of KSI, you are a part of what we call Clan Operations, or Clan Ops for short. Specifically, you are a member of a certain squad, which resides in a certain division. For example, you might be a RCT or PVT in the squad Icebound, which is part of the division Xero Degreez (XD). Clan Ops represents 1/3 of KSI, and is perhaps the most dynamic, and important piece of the community. It is where all current and future leaders are created, and without it, KSI could not exist. At a minimum, you should know what this looks like structurally, why it's important to you, and the key players in your particular squads and divisions. As a new member, it is expected that you know the rank structure from Recruit to Senior Director. The full breakdown of the Clan Ops Structure of KSI can be found in the quote box below. All you need to do is click to click the arrow to expand the information inside. Further description of the structure of KSI can be found here: http://www.ksiglobal.org/info/ 4. KSI's Harassment Policy: K.S.I. will not tolerate harassment or intimidation of our members on any basis prohibited by but not limited to, the law, including race, color, sex, age, religion, national origin, handicap, & disability. Harassment is governed by state laws, which vary by state, but is generally defined as a course of conduct which annoys, threatens, intimidates, alarms, or puts a person in fear of their safety. Harassment is unwanted, unwelcome and uninvited behavior that demeans, threatens or offends the victim and results in a hostile environment for the victim. Harassing behavior may include, but is not limited to, epithets, derogatory comments or slurs and lewd propositions, assault, impeding or blocking movement, offensive touching or any physical interference with normal work or movement, and visual insults, such as derogatory posters or cartoons. KSI's Harassment Policy can be found here: http://www.ksiglobal.org/portfolio/handbook/ 5. KSI's Sexual Harassment Policy: Any suggestions, or insinuations made towards any member of KSI for sexual favors may affect the terms and condition of membership with this community. Unwanted sexual advances, and inappropriate sexual behavior will strictly not be tolerated. It is the policy of K.S.I. that any harassment, including acts creating a hostile gaming environment or any other discriminatory acts directed against our members, will result in discipline, up to, and including blacklisting. K.S.I. will not tolerate any such harassment of our members by our affiliates. For purposes of this policy, sexual harassment is defined as any type of sexually-oriented conduct, whether intentional or not, that is unwelcome and has the purpose or effect of creating a gaming environment that is hostile, offensive or coercive. The following are examples of conduct that, depending upon the circumstances, may constitute sexual harassment: Unwelcome sexual jokes, language, nicknames, advances or propositions Written or oral abuse of a sexual nature, sexually degrading or vulgar words to describe an individual. The display of sexually suggestive objects, pictures, posters or cartoons Unwelcome comments about an individual's body Asking questions about sexual conduct 6. KSI's Open Door Policy: The KSI Open Door Policy allows members to speak with Senior Community Leaders regarding a wide range of issues, from ideas, or concerns you might have with the community, to numerous other issues. We believe that in keeping with KSI's philosophy of open communications, all gamers, affiliates, and members have the right and are encouraged to speak freely with leadership about their game related concerns. Nevertheless, members are encouraged to speak directly to the leaders in their chain of command when possible. One of the most important relationships gamers will develop in KSI is the relationship between themselves, and their leaders. However, should members need support from someone other than their leaders, the entire management team, the Seniors, and the Board of Directors are committed to resolving any issues, listening to ideas, or answering questions that may arise. Topics may be addressed via the Open Door Policy include, but are not limited to: Harassment Discrimination Community Questions/Concerns Innovative Ideas Recommendations Again, we urge you to go directly to your divisional leaders to discuss your game-related ideas, recommendations, concerns and other issues which are important to you. If, after talking with your leader, you feel the need for additional discussion, you are encouraged to speak with any Community Leaders, or members within the Human Resources epartment. KSI's Open Door Policy can be found here: http://www.ksiglobal.org/portfolio/handbook/ 7. Leave of Absence (LOA): A Leave of Absence within KSI is a period of time that one must be away from one's primary responsibility or rank, while still maintaining the status of their respective position. For L.O.A's it is standard that all members are required to inform the General of their respective squad, or their immediate superior, of their intention to take a small period of time away from KSI. Usually this period of time is for no more than about a week. If a longer L.O.A is needed, it is imperative that is discussed with the member's immediate superior officers. L.O.A's should not be denied, but an abuse of the system can, and will result in removal from a leadership position in KSI. Listed below are some of the more common reasons that someone may use to take a Leave of Absence: Death of a relative/Close friend Starting a new job/Adjusting to a new schedule Family vacation Wedding/Honeymoon Moving/Loss of internet Any other reason that may cause you to be unavailable for a period of a week or more KSI's Leave of Absence (L.O.A) Policy can be found here: http://www.ksiglobal.org/portfolio/handbook/ 8. Squad and Divisional Transfers Unfortunately, like in real life, things don't always work out in KSI. For one reason or another, you might find that the squad or division you are in just isn't the best potential fit for you. This could be due to a variety of factors, including game type incompatibility, personal issues, or issues with other members, or leaders in your squad or division. As a first course of action, we always encourage you to follow the chain of command, and try to resolve anything that might be affecting you. If that isn't possible, or nothing comes of it, then you may start the process of looking for a new home in KSI. After all, we would rather you find the place that is right for you within our community, instead of leaving it. Every single member of this community is vital, including you. Below you will find the process for Squad, and Division Transfers. Squad Transfers: As the member wishing to find a new home, you must be the one to request the transfer. No one can do it for you. To start the process, you must first contact your General to discuss the issue. He, or she is going to ask you a series of questions, and try to find an in house solution. If that isn't possible, and they approve the transfer, they will then contact the Co-Founder of the squad to discussion your intention. The Co-Founder will then talk it over with all of the Generals in the division to try and find you a new home. Once that has happened, the two Generals will then meet to sort out the details, such as a discussion on your professionalism, reason for transferring, etc. If everything checks out, your transfer will be approved. Note: At any point in time during this process, any of the officers listed may deny your transfer. Divisional Transfers: Just like Squad Transfers, Divisional Transfers can occur when a member no longer feels like their current division is the best fit for them. Also just like Squad Transfers, the same criteria will apply. Always try to solve any problems in house first before trying to find somewhere new to live. Without getting into the same repetitive detail, it's important to recognize that the process for Divisional Transfers is slightly different, and requires attention to detail. Just like with Squad Transfers, you must follow the correct chain of command when requesting a move. First speak to the General of your squad. If they agree to your transfer, they will then talk to the Highest Ranking Officer in the division to receive final approval. Once that happens, you will be directed to create a topic in the Divisional Transfer Section of the forums. Your Division Leader, and Director will then post their approval. If the division you desire to transfer to also approves of the move, the Director and Division Leader of the destination will also post their approval. It's important to note that when transferring divisions, you are not always guaranteed to keep your previous rank. Note: At any point in time during this process, any of the officers listed may deny your transfer. Divisional Transfer Forums Area: http://www.ksiforums.org/forum/280-divisional-transfer-area/ 9. Departments within KSI: Departments are a great way to get your name out there and meet new people, all while furthering your career in an area you already have interest in. Some of these are system based, while many are based on the forums, and in Web Operations. In an effort to improve participation and the overall quality of each department, there is a cap on how many departments a member can be a part of. Name: KSI BadKitty 7Link to Forums Account: http://www.ksiforums.org/profile/40631-ksi-badkitty-7/?tab=activity Award-/-Achievement: Outstanding Service Level 2Reason-/-Evidence: Over the past 6-7 months I've had the privilege of working with Kitty on a regular basis. When FuzzyMeep and I came together last October and set the Community Education Project and Performance Operations in motion, the first person that was suggested as a person to add to the staff was Kitty. From then on she became an absolutely crucial part of the process. Early on she help me write and edit rough drafts, look for spelling errors, color code, and much more. In that time she also helped me to organize the staff, acting as a defacto Co-Head without ever having the title. She mentored other members of the project team, gave them guidance, and did just about everything I asked of her. Most importantly though, she acted as a mentor to myself. She helped me feel out the current KSI, learn the ropes, learn how to deal with certain leaders, and helped me connect with some people that would come key performance officers in the future. During the roll out she helped to train multiple divisions, instilling the same sense of leadership she carries with herself to others. She helped members navigate the confusing nature of the first set of workshops, and helped to create solutions when problems arose. It's safe to say that without Kitty, I don't think this department and program could have had anywhere near the success it has. People who know me know I'm not always the best of not pissing people off. Kitty served as the balance to that. Nevertheless, during this entire process she remained a divisional leader in DM, striving to create one of the most stable and prosperous divisions in this community, as well as remained head of T&E which helped the department to reach heights it hasn't seen is years. When you look at the list of awards available in KSI, it goes without saying that Kitty is the embodiment of what all of them represent. She is dedicated and devoted to her family outside of Xbox, but also her family here on line. Kitty is also one of the few people I know who will drop what they are doing and come solve a problem or have a conversation. There are few people more deserving of this award than her. Award-/-Achievement: MentorReason-/-Evidence: As mentioned above, Kitty has served as a mentor to myself, and countless others. She helped me learn the ropes in the modern day iteration of KSI, and without her I don't think I could have created the department that we know call PO. She taught me a lot, and I hope to repay the favor at some point. Like I said, I'm going to keep it short because I created a wall of text that addresses a lot of this above. Award-/-Achievement: TrainerReason-/-Evidence: Mentioned above, Kitty helped to train 3-4 divisions on the new set of workshops, easily surpassing the 30+ mark. This isn't even considering the members of DM that she has trained throughout her time in KSI, and as one of its divisional leaders. I know she hosted numerous workshops for them as well. There is no doubt in my mind that she is qualified and deserving of this award.

OSL2 hmmm where to begin!!! Kitty without a doubt deserves this award and so many more!!!! Since becoming a leader in KSI I got to know Kitty and wow what an amazing leader!!! Even though we were Div Leaders over different Divs I still knew who she was. When I became a P.O. Officer I was lucky enough to get to work with her and know her better. She is AMAZING!!! She faces any issue head on and sees it through to the end. One thing I admire most is she tells you like it is!!!! No sugar coating or anything. She leads by example and that alone is a hard trait to find in any leader. With her leadership skills I am super confident that Kitty will lead KSI in the right direction for the yrs to come. P.S. She so gets my vote because she loves Harry Potter :o)

I joined KSI back in 2014 and somehow only met True this past March when I joined the News Team. I don't have a boat-load of stories to tell about her like the other people in this thread. Maybe one day I will. For now, I CAN say that True is amazing person. ("Amazing" is such an over-used adjective and there are very few people who deserve it. I think this girl definitely does.) True's impact on the KSI community is widespread. Somehow she continues to positively influence a crazy amount of members and STILL funnel her energy into running a Department. The News & History Team wouldn't be the same without her leadership. She's to-the-point, fair, resourceful and always there when you need her. Her extreme dedication to her fellow members should be a roll model for all.

KSI Kratos18 Cruelty DM I am also questioning why the separation of 7 staff and squads during events like spring break, spirit week, etc.. I feel like it promotes a segregation of the members within the community because 7 staff or not we are all equal members as well as a family. I believe it is time for a change that way there is equality for all members of KSI to be able to have a team of whoever they please versus what it is now.

I cant see Cats name on an award nomination and not post to witness for it because, as Ive stated before, there is truly not an award that she currently does not deserve or has not earned. After the year and half that I've spent working practically hand in hand with kitty from a clan ops level (from Gen-Director) and web ops (T&E, Performance Operations, Forum Moderators), there isnt anything I haven't seen her do yet she simultaneously never ceases to amaze. Part of the name of the award is Outstanding and as anyone who has been fortunate to work with cat knows, using that word to describe her work would be modest. I have never seen someone have there hand in so many different aspects and parts of this community from top to bottom and manage to give 120% effort to them all without missing a beat. Her dedication and commitment to this community is unrivaled and its shown by the amount of respect and notoriety shes gained in her short time here. It's been a privilege to work alongside her for so long and now that shes become a fellow director, I can not wait to see what's next to come for her and what she brings to KSI. Give em all to her, Nugget

I can attest to OS2. I’ve known kit kat for a short period of time but stalking her division from an IA standpoint before she was promoted to director it was in short one of the most secure divisions we have in this community. A good feat in my opinion. If IA isn’t your cup of tea, she has ran one a department as one of the most if not the most successful head of TnE. With that being said I’ve also played in many TnE events throughout my career and I will say recent TnE has ran smoother than some of the previous I’ve been in. Finally if department stuff isn’t your cup of tea, (we get it you hate tea you communist) then she has a very very solid division in terms of clan ops. Obviously seeing that two of our more recent directors have came out of DM it doesn’t suprise anyone that I’m bringing up the clan ops aspect. Her and gambit along with the entire leadership staff are a well knit crew who handle things in the utmost positive way in the community. They may bully each other a lot but when it comes to work they get it done. It may be the main reason I complain at her the most, she always bounces in matches of pubg to handle KSIregardless of time and it becomes a problem sometimes where I want to blacklist KSI from KSI. That way maybe just maybe we will get a full night without her leaving 3 or 4 times. Don’t usually come in the AAP to witness for people and I don’t even do it for OTY to avoid favoritism but hey she deserves it.

True is one of the most inspirationals leader and person I have ever been lucky enough to have crossed paths with. The structure that is the News/History team is hands down one of the best I've seen it is run smoothly and efficiently. For anyone who understands how any article publishing system works, understand that this team operates with no deadlines and a minimum of one article a month! Those are insane standards to operate a team on and somehow she does it flawlessly without breaking stride nor her confidence ever faulting. Her feedback on articles has formed me into so much more as a writer, a credit to this community and to the team. A credit to my success and all future success. Above and beyond all what stands out to me most about True, is her dedication to this community. You can set her back in any form but her ability to rise to the cause and continue her dedication is outstanding. KSI comes with many daily frustrations especially in any seat of leadership no matter the area or title. The testimony of a good leader is the ability to persevere through these frustrations with level head. True far exceeds these expectations. Since recently taking her into EO to further invest herself into this community she has done nothing but surpass expectation. Not to mention the many areas of KSI in which I think she has made a very notable presence in: AAP News History Join Mod Performance Operations KSIglobal.org Senior Leadership Demonic Mayhem Explosive Outlaws Lead Class Forums Moderator Graceful and confident at every turn. Truly Inspiring to a current leader within KSI.Running the News & History Team to its fullest potential Knows all the ins and outs to writing. Is always willing to go that extra mile to share and expand all News & History team members writing ability. A mentor and a friend to many in KSI. True is a mentor and a friend she is someone I look up to and some I can look across to when things get difficult around here. True's name is know throughout this community with major influences with all. Her time in EO if it ever does come to an end will never be forgotten. Everyone she meets is touched in some form or another her presences and knowledge is shared by all and quite frankly I believe she has become a token of this community.

KSI Gary 7 Silver Outstanding Lvl 2

KSI Gary 7 is an outstanding member of this community, and as his peer I have seen much of what he has done, accomplished and gone through to do so. With his clan ops experience so far Gary has had an uphill battle from the start. When LW Went through its troubles all the them months ago, Gary was the only person who stuck to the guys and tried to persevere, while his peers abandoned him and the division. He would stay up until all hours, 5/6/7 am just to ensure his guys were having a good time and that no issues were occurring. He was n the midst of restructuring his division when DR Merged into LW making DW, so he had to redo his structure and start from scratch. This is more than enough strife to make a person up and walk away, however Gary has not once looked at walking away. Looking forwards, and it is evident on both divisional numbers and in the division participation charts, DW is now one of the most active divisions in the community, both in community events and in the KSI Departments, which leads me to Garys next outstanding service record. Productions. Gary has once again taken this department by the horns, when the more prominent players in the department faded away he was unafraid to take the reigns and and make it his own. He was while doing this fighting the good fight in LW/ DW at the same time, so to balance running, restructuring and revamping a department and dealing with clan ops pressures is a phenomenal feat and one that needs to be recognised as not an easy one. Gary has expanded the KSI Productions team beyond montage competitions and the occasional weekly stream, to a consistent and constant team where almost everything is happening. He was a vital part (with Skarzx) in utilising the calendar and ensuring his team is signed up in advance to stream, and to get events streamed as well. To sum this up - @KSI Gary 7 is an outstanding member of this community one that with time will be recognised by more than just his peers. Thank you for all your efforts, and this is likely not the last outstanding nomination you will see from this fellow.

THE APPLICATION Basic Information Gamertag/Name: KSI Cherry 7 Age: 24 Time in KSI: over 2 years Current Rank/Position: Division Leader Highest Rank/Position Held: Division Leader Have you ever been blacklisted, DNH'd and/or security risked? If so, when and why? Nope Performance Operations Specific Questions If you could change one thing about the way training work in KSI, what would it be? Training in KSI has improved in the last couple of months for sure. The workshops had a tendency to be instructor led with little input from the members as well as a little dry. How do you regularly promote the education of members within your division and/or squad? Day to day basis If you could implement one of your personal squad and/or divisional policies on a community wide basis to better the standard of leadership and training, what would it be and why? Flipping the way workshops are hosted has had a great effect on turnout. Let the members feel like they have control over their own learning and having more interaction whether that is through open forum workshops or including activities has been pretty successful for my div. Why should you be considered as a potential Performance Officer for KSI? In other words, why should you be selected over other leaders in this community? I think everyone has potential to be a great PO if they have the drive to better the community. I am applying because I am formally trained as an educator and i think that it would be a unique experience for me to look into informal education settings like this. Plus its a way for me to get involved and meet new people throughout the community.

Squad Leadership Workshop: The Ins and Outs of an Officer Workshop Introduction: The overall goal of this workshop is to provide all trainers with an interactive and response-driven workshop geared towards those members of the community who have achieved, or are desiring to achieve the rank(s) of Lieutenant (LT) through General (GEN). The information provided in this workshop serves the purpose of expanding an officer’s mindset and breadth of knowledge on topics such as rank description and duties, improving and maintaining squad health/activity, and the definition of successful fulfillment of one’s position. As you begin this workshop, remember that the squad is the heart of KSI. Without succesful squads, we cannot have succesful divisions. Without those, KSI ceases to exist. Because of this, it is critically important that the next generation of leaders have the necessary training, knowledge, and understanding of the community to be as succesful as possible in their positions. Much like in life, the newer members of KSI will someday be the leaders of KSI, because of thit it is important to make sure that they are ready to enter the world of high leadership. Workshop Occurrence: This workshop will be offered on a rotating basis. Specific dates and occurrences will be listed on the monthly workshop calendar created by the Human Resources Department. Before we Begin (Pre-Workshop Conversation Starters and Discussion Topics) The Following questions may be used as a conversation starter before beginning your workshop. What does it mean to be a leader and a mentor? What does it mean to be an officer? What do I add, or can I bring to the table to reframe the conversation? What can I do for my squad? What are my longterm goals in KSI, and how can I achieve them? Where do I see myself in a year's time? The Core of the Program (Workshop Topics, Progression, and Key Points) Workshop Curriculum Introduction: To be a leader, or in more squad based terms an “officer”, is not only a position revered by fellow squad members, but a privilege that is earned through hard work and proven commitment to KSI and the squad of that respective officer. This being said, the rank of officer is never something that is simply given or guaranteed based on tenure or popularity. The work required of an officer is difficult and can sometimes be very taxing, but the rewards of seeing a vibrant squad where the members are happy and active as well as the ability to have a vote or say in the direction your squad is headed is something you’ll be able to cherish your entire career when looking back. 1. Do I meet the qualifications? When attempting to become an officer, there are numerous characteristics and requirements evaluated before the idea of an officer rank can even be considered. As mentioned before, being an officer is hard work and therefore requires a considerable amount of time to be a good officer. The most common pitfall for aspiring officers is that they simply do not have the time to be active and involved with the daily task required by their rank. It is CRITICAL to assess current life situations and all prior commitments before taking on this responsibility. Besides having the ability to commit time to being an officer in this community, the KSI handbook provides us with a list of minimum requirements to be considered for an officer rank. The requirements are as follows: Successful fulfillment of the Sergeant rank. (KSI reflective gamer tag included.) Advanced understanding of the Code of Conduct and the ability to uphold it. Knowledge of the recruiting standards/processes. Co-Host any workshops and game nights to gain adequate experience on how to run and maintain a party. Remaining active on the forums by posting weekly check-ins, regular game night attendance, and all workshop notes. Capability of assisting a future member with the rejoin application process. Completion of the New Member Workshop Completion of the Basic Training Workshop Have you filled the requirements listed above and have the proper availability? If the answer is yes, you are ready to ask yourself the next question in the process. 2. What can I do for my squad? When taking on the responsibilities of being an officer in your squad, there are various weekly needs or activities that need to be met or hosted in order to ensure squad activity and growth. These squad activities would include things such as: Weekly squad meetings Game-night lobbies Workshops Recruitment Tournaments & Events (Weekend Warfare) Sending out messages and information sharing The function and flow of healthy squad life: It is the responsibility of an officer to help shoulder the burden of squad activity. Through hosting squad meetings and game nights, actively searching for, and recruiting new players, and informing members through messages and workshops, the officer plays a highly influential role in squad management and maintenance. If again, one can say that they fulfill these duties and help the squad in these areas, then that member is ready for the final question. 3. What do I Bring to the Table? With the two previous questions, we’ve covered the requirements, duties, and tasks that need to be accomplished for all upcoming officers. However, there are multiple virtues and characteristics not listed in black and white that are needed or expected of officers. On a daily basis, there will be several things that need an officer's attention. Events and meetings that need planning Training that needs to be finished Problems that need solutions Questions that need answers The heart of the matter: These tasks will require definite degrees of patience, attention to detail, organization, emotional control, and a level head. These characteristics can be very hard to master, and while it is beneficial to have them all, excelling at a certain few can be more helpful to a squad than being the “jack of all trades”. So whether you’re the organizational strategist, the problem solver, or the well of knowledge, it is important to discover what exactly you add to your squad as an officer. 4. The ranks and their duties: Lieutenant Duties: (Abbreviation: LT 1-4) The Lieutenant rank is given to those Staff Sergeants who may become eligible for a promotion after 2-4 weeks of training and experience as a Staff Sergeant. Click on the quote box below to expand the information: Captain Duties: (Abbreviation - CPT: 1-4) The position of Captain is given to those Lieutenants who may become eligible for a promotion after 5 weeks of training and experience in KSI. Click on the quote box below to expand the information: General Duties: (Abbreviation - GEN) General is the most important rank in a squad, and is awarded to Captains who may become eligible for a promotion after 12 weeks of training and experience in KSI. Generals are responsible for the entirety of their respective squad within a division and the members inside of it. Click on the quote box below to expand the information: 5. Squad level events (Tips and tricks): Every Division and squad will dictate its own format on how to host events efficiently. This includes the schedule on which they occur, what games they will occur on, how to establish contact with the most members possible, and so much more. The following steps are ones where, if practiced, can make the events you host become very successful. Every large event needs a format, so the attendees can have a healthy, and enjoyable experience while also enjoying their time spent with the squad. Implementing the ideas listed below can help you to make sure that it's not just an idea, but a reality. Game nights: Remember as an officer staff to show up to the game nights with an open schedule and mind. The event host should get on the squad tag to send out the first wave of invites to every online member. As officers join, encourage them to go on the squad tag as well, to send out a second wave of invites. Open a party five, ten or even fifteen minutes prior to the scheduled event. This will give members time to jump in the party, and get ready so the event can commence as close to the scheduled start time as possible. An added benefit of this is that your members will get more time to socialize and bond as a group. Right before starting, take your attendance, and make any quick announcements you might have. Additionally, any members that join while the game night is in progress should be added to the attendance before the end of the event. Don’t forget that game nights don’t have to end at a certain time. If people are having fun playing together, let them keep going. This promotes squad activity and unity. Members should feel free to come and go as they need throughout the night. The most important fact is that you are giving them a venue to game, and enjoy their fellow squad/division mates. Additionally, any members that join while the squad meeting is in progress should be added to the attendance before the end of the event. Have all members mute their mics, and proceed to go over leaders notes, divisional notes, and then the squad specific notes. Afterwards, ask for any input from the officer staff, then if the members have any comments or concerns. If not, end the lobby. For all meetings, clearly designated some avenue that the attendees can use to indicate that they have an urgent question or comment to make. This could be the party messaging system, a message to you, or a click of the mic. Whatever it is, it needs to be clear. Squad meeting notes should be posted in the divisional meeting notes section on the forums as soon as possible. If there is another place where they need to be posted, also ensure that they make it there in a timely manner. Workshops: Open a party five, ten or even fifteen minutes prior to the scheduled event. This will give members time to jump in the party, and get ready so the event can commence as close to the scheduled start time as possible. Additionally, any members that join while the workshop is in progress should be added to the attendance before the end of the event. Prior to the event, go over workshop notes, and make sure you’re comfortable with the content you’re teaching, and speaking about. Members will have questions, so you should be ready to answer at a moment's notice. Try to stay on topic and not veer off on tangents so the members in attendance don’t get confused and lose interest. Be the master of your content. Be confident, and be prepared. Most importantly though, be genuine and relaxed. Make sure the information comes across in a relaxed, and genuine member. Have a conversation, don't give a lecture. Have all members mute their mics, and proceed to go over the information at hand. Afterwards, ask for any input from the officer staff, then if the members have any comments or concerns. Because of that, squad level events and activities are the most important jobs of any officer. An active squad is a strong squad, and a strong squad is a strong KSI _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Debrief (Post-Workshop Conversation Starters and Discussion Topics) The Following questions can be used as a conversation starter following the conclusion of your workshop. You do not have to ask every question. Pick the ones that you believe will have the most impact, and most buy in with your workshop group. What are the initial topics that stood out to you while going through the workshop? Was there anything that surprised you? Was there anything that you didn't agree with? If so, why? What is at least one thing you can take from this workshop to improve your overall leadership? What does it mean to be a leader and a mentor? What does it mean to be an officer? After attending this workshop, do you still see yourself in the same place in 1 years time?
