      KSI Spring Break 2018 Announcement   02/22/2018

      Hello! We are proud to announce the official schedule for KSI's 2nd Annual Spring Break, to be held Friday, March 23 - Sunday, March 25, 2018! This year's Spring Break event is momentous in several ways. It is the first large-scale competitive event on the 2018 calendar, and it serves as the official start of KSI's new initiative, the KSI Divisional Cup. As per every large event, there will be a schedule of events, a forums poll, and a scoring system to rank divisions in the order they finish. We will also be holding a Twitch Subscriber Lottery drawing for either KSI Merchandise or a 1-month Loot Crate subscription. Schedule Friday, March 23rd: (8 p.m. EST) Town Hall -- Divisional Cup/Spring Break Q&A Rainbow Six Siege - 4v4 Secure Area Halo 5 - 4v4 Swat Saturday, March 24th: (8 p.m. EST) Rocket League - 2v2 Black Ops 2 - 4v4 TDM Black Ops 2 - 7's FFA Sunday, March 25th: (6 p.m. EST) WWII - 4v4 TDM WWII - 7's FFA Overwatch - 2v2 Mystery Heroes ** Sign-ups for these events will be posted in the weeks to come in the Spring Break area on the forums, which can be found here. Only 7s may post sign-ups for the division, which can be edited until the evening of the event. Each division is allowed just one (1) team per event. For FFAs, there may be just two (2) 7s per division. There will be a Poll posted as part of the event. It will open at 8 p.m. EST on Friday and close at 8 p.m. EST on Sunday. Votes will count toward participation for divisions and members will be asked to post a reply to become eligible for the Spring Break 2018 award! Prizes will be $10 codes, given out to the winners of each individual event. Total prizes for the competition will value ~$200. The Twitch Sub Drawing will happen on Sunday evening. Anybody who subscribes to KSILive before 6 p.m. that night will be entered into the drawing for the merchandise/Loot Crate prize. We may do more than one drawing, depending on Subscriptions. (Reminder: All Subscription revenue is used exclusively for prize pools for events, and the more Subs we get, the more prizes (and the bigger the prizes) we can offer.) Divisional Cup Division Cup will keep track of divisional participation throughout the year! Starting at Spring Break and ending with January's Award Show, we will be ranking divisions each month by their participation, growth, and officer staff ratio to develop a competition for Division of the Year! The division with the most points each month will be named Division of the Month. A list of monthly events will be posted with meeting notes and in the Marketing Area on the forums so everyone can be aware of what will count toward points! Divisions can expect to see points counted for Weekend Warfare, Montage and Clip submissions, News Team contests, Twitch Subscriptions, and OTM/DOTM award periods in the AAP. Additional events will be added depending on what is happening in KSI for that particular month. KSI's large events -- Spring Break, Spirit Week, Fall Classic, and Turkey Bowl -- will count independently and figure into the overall scores, but not the monthly tallies. Section Guidelines & Rules (MUST READ!)

To all requesters,

The request forum is where our artists can assist you in any graphics request needed. We can work on forum/division banners to your own personalized forum signature; on special requests we can help with making template graphics, etc.

We don't expect you to be art/design savvy, however, it would make things move better if you began to have a basic understanding of what we're looking for in terms of images we can work with in order to complete the request faster. Examples of acceptable material that we may use can be found here: KSIID.

And it's important to keep in mind that this is just a hobby for us, we volunteer, this is not a job and we don't work on a schedule. For this gift that the artists provide the KSI community there are set rules and policies which need to be followed to help reduce any drama or confusion. Help us help you.

No outbursts or disrespect on your part will be tolerated. We have our standards for good reason. Complying with these rules and regulations will make your request process efficient, quick, and most likely provide you with a better product.

Graphic Artists may not have official moderating powers but are still to be shown respect and represent the team as a whole.

The closing of all topics will be determined by whichever GA is attending the topic in question, and will be at their discretion.

Prerequisites for making a request:

1. ALL REQUESTS MUST BE KSI RELATED. If it is not meant to be used on these forums or for any other KSI related site, your request WILL BE TERMINATED.

2.1 A person requesting MUST have 20 non-spam posts on these forums. This helps minimize forum trolls from using our time to help them with a graphic on another forum, etc. Another benefit of this rule is to encourage activity of KSI members on the forums.

2.2 To request a Xbox Gamerpic, you must have at least 30 non-spam posts.

2.3 To request a Cover Photo for your forums profile, you must have at least 40 non-spam posts.


3.1 Once a request has been completed (when it is fulfilled or ended due to special circumstances such as disrespect, negligence of rules, etc), the requester MUST wait 2 whole weeks (14 days) before making another request. This is to remind you that we are not your personal design team. We have others requesting our services and this policy is held in fairness.

3.2 Don't make multiple requests at the same time (banners and other community-wide projects being the only exception). Otherwise our section becomes cluttered and harder to keep track.

4.1 You may only *bump your topic once a day (*bump - post that word or anything else for the purpose of moving your topic to the top of the list / keeping it on the first page). Your request will be terminated if you have multiple "bumps" a day or any unnecessary spam. Anything other than answering questions from the Artists will be considered your bump and/or spam.

4.2 Vice versa, If you make a request but don't keep yourself updated with the request, it will be closed. For example, you made a request but for some reason it wasn't fulfilled by any artist and you decided not to bump it for several days. The team managing the request forum will conclude you lost interest in your request and we will close it.

4.3 Do not post in any other request topic. If it isn't yours, don't post there. You will be punished. If you have a request open - it will be closed and you will have to wait 2 weeks. If you persist, the moderation team will take further action.
