KSI Spring Break 2018 Announcement   02/22/2018

Hello! We are proud to announce the official schedule for KSI's 2nd Annual Spring Break, to be held Friday, March 23 - Sunday, March 25, 2018! This year's Spring Break event is momentous in several ways. It is the first large-scale competitive event on the 2018 calendar, and it serves as the official start of KSI's new initiative, the KSI Divisional Cup. As per every large event, there will be a schedule of events, a forums poll, and a scoring system to rank divisions in the order they finish. We will also be holding a Twitch Subscriber Lottery drawing for either KSI Merchandise or a 1-month Loot Crate subscription. Schedule Friday, March 23rd: (8 p.m. EST) Town Hall -- Divisional Cup/Spring Break Q&A Rainbow Six Siege - 4v4 Secure Area Halo 5 - 4v4 Swat Saturday, March 24th: (8 p.m. EST) Rocket League - 2v2 Black Ops 2 - 4v4 TDM Black Ops 2 - 7's FFA Sunday, March 25th: (6 p.m. EST) WWII - 4v4 TDM WWII - 7's FFA Overwatch - 2v2 Mystery Heroes ** Sign-ups for these events will be posted in the weeks to come in the Spring Break area on the forums, which can be found here. Only 7s may post sign-ups for the division, which can be edited until the evening of the event. Each division is allowed just one (1) team per event. For FFAs, there may be just two (2) 7s per division. There will be a Poll posted as part of the event. It will open at 8 p.m. EST on Friday and close at 8 p.m. EST on Sunday. Votes will count toward participation for divisions and members will be asked to post a reply to become eligible for the Spring Break 2018 award! Prizes will be $10 codes, given out to the winners of each individual event. Total prizes for the competition will value ~$200. The Twitch Sub Drawing will happen on Sunday evening. Anybody who subscribes to KSILive before 6 p.m. that night will be entered into the drawing for the merchandise/Loot Crate prize. We may do more than one drawing, depending on Subscriptions. (Reminder: All Subscription revenue is used exclusively for prize pools for events, and the more Subs we get, the more prizes (and the bigger the prizes) we can offer.) Divisional Cup Division Cup will keep track of divisional participation throughout the year! Starting at Spring Break and ending with January's Award Show, we will be ranking divisions each month by their participation, growth, and officer staff ratio to develop a competition for Division of the Year! The division with the most points each month will be named Division of the Month. A list of monthly events will be posted with meeting notes and in the Marketing Area on the forums so everyone can be aware of what will count toward points! Divisions can expect to see points counted for Weekend Warfare, Montage and Clip submissions, News Team contests, Twitch Subscriptions, and OTM/DOTM award periods in the AAP. Additional events will be added depending on what is happening in KSI for that particular month. KSI's large events -- Spring Break, Spirit Week, Fall Classic, and Turkey Bowl -- will count independently and figure into the overall scores, but not the monthly tallies. Im going to say the game that got me into gaming in the first place was either Roller Coaster Tycoon or good old  Crash Team Racing on PS1. Both games where just fun to play to me. I liked being able to build an amusement park to the way my imagination wanted it to. Completing the challenges to unlock more parks and of course the all too not secret cheat codes to make sure i never ran out of money. lol. I still play RCT to this day but the more recent Roller coaster tycoon 3 multi expansion packs. Crash team racing got me heavily into competing type games as i could race against people for over the world as well as race solo and try to complete challenges to unlock more. It had so much to do at the time and i haven't been able to play it in many years but i still remember the thrills and good times it brought. The challenging my family to races and pushing them off the maps in order to win.

Im going to keep it simple before i start to reminisce about it. Thank you for reading my first intro to gaming :)

Through my childhood I remember many games, but none touched me like my first multiplayer game. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. I remember being in Middle School when it came out, an eager 11 year-old kid just waiting for it to be released. It was my first game on Xbox Live. I never talked to others online and for the first time in my life I felt truly connected to the outside world. It gave me the love and passion I have for games now. I put countless hours into it, played everyday after school. I played through my holiday vacations and rarely left my bedroom in the summer. It was a year that forever shaped my life in more ways than one. It became the foundation of where I am now and everything in between. It taught me how to communicate with others in a way I never knew before. I made countless friends and the memories I have with them I still remember fondly. In fact, I still have some of them added on my social media just to watch us all grow up separately, yet somehow together. Remembering the days of all of us being children playing together, now to see them as fully grown adults with wives and children. It's a bittersweet moment, but we all never put down the controller. We get together to reminisce on occasion of the our "good ol' days" and the camaraderie is still just as strong as 7 years ago. I've never experienced something like that in all of the rest of my life and that's what makes it so immensely special.

Everyone had that one game, and for me it was Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. I love that game with all my heart truly and I'll never find another one like it.

Gaming has been a huge part of my life since childhood. Growing up, technology was on the verge and was advancing at a high rate. Digging in deeper, I first got into gaming with the Nintendo! It was the best, played so many games on that thing (even though you had to slap it a bit to read the game). There was duck hunt, super Mario, donky kong, and that one with the black cat?? I can't remember the name. But those were may jam. As technology advanced I moved on and got into Spy vs. Spy, and computer games such as the Sims... I loved the Sims <3. Then there was the Wii.. bowling pro right here. I also loved guitar hero and all of those jams. Eventually I got to Xbox 360 where I discovered Halo.. I loved it and still do. Halo is what got me into this community, and overall has enhanced my gaming experience. I could go on for days about all of the games, because I love them all, and they all had an impact on how I game now. However, those stories are for another day! Peace out Spartans!

Super Mario Brothers on the NES.  My aunts bf timed the bounce on a green shell perfectly and let it just run. 15 mins later he had 100+ lives to the point it didn't show a number only a symbol. That was over 20 years ago, been a gamer ever since.

I have been playing video games my whole life but i would have to say the games that really got me into gaming would be Duck Hunt on the Nintendo. I played Nintendo and PlayStation when i was a kid but the game that brought me over the Xbox was Crimson Skies. Since then i have played nothing but Xbox and i buy the new console every time a new one comes out.

I don’t remember much when I started playing games or getting into it. I barely remember the game that started it all, but it was a  Nintendo 64  and I started playing it at the age of 5 and I played a raceing game that I played all the time and got bored of it and then I got the spider man game and it was  quite poor, well I didn’t know what to do on the game at the time but it was still fun at the least. But as time went on my mom bought me and my sister(but I was on it most the time) and Xbox and we had a racing game and something else but I didn’t like the racing game that much and after awhile time moved on and a few years later we get an Xbox 360 are first on and I was like 8 or 9 at the time, and we got introduced to Halo and I loved that game I spent hours playing that game and got more games over the time and more hours, days, weeks, years of me playing games on it. But at last my cousin got jealous like always when I have something and broke the tray for the Disc, and I was without and Xbox or anything to play on for I think 3 years and we got another Xbox 360 and this  one lasted for along time. But as things get older the more they fall apart and start to brake and the Xbox started to come one when it wanted to, tray would do the same thing so I got rid of it and saved up to get me an Xbox one and I love it. But when I got it I still didn’t have Xbox live at the time so I spent awhile without it and I finally got it and I started having a blast talking to others and playing games with others it made me stay with Xbox and play games more. You never know what you might find on Xbox or games talking to people. Like me. I’ve meet KSI and y’all are the best peopl/ clan that I can ask for.

I started gaming when I was five years old. My mother bought me an old NES console and I binged on Mario games mainly. Fast forward a couple of years and I bought my first Xbox 360 with call of duty 4. I enjoyed the game so much that I got into comp matches for sniping. My comp matches continued until call of duty ghosts and then I got exhausted of the matches so now i play casual.
