This is just a short guide to some of the basics of ranks and structure, of KSI for those who aren't familiar or need refresher course. "Like I did when researching this stuff. Also this intel may not be a 100% correct as I got it from many different sources"

Recruit (RCT)

Description: This is the first position of our structure, designed for those recently recruited into any of our squads

Duties: Getting and remaining in uniform, according to the indications of the recruiter, agreeing to respect the Code of Conduct and The Xbox Live Disclaimer, Adding Members off the Squad tag, starting to learn the Rank Structure up through General rank, sign up at www.ksiforums.org and meet other KSI members by attending squad activities.

Private (PVT)

Description: This is the second position acquired with your enrollment into the community.

Duties: Privates are to take guidance and training from leaders of the squad. Remain in uniform, according to the indications of the recruiter, become familiar with the Rank Structure up through Division Leader rank. Continue to be active on the forums, and meet other KSI members by attending squad activities, to include squad meetings.

Corporal (CPL)

Description: This is the third position acquired with your enrollment into the community

Duties: Corporals are to take guidance and training from leaders of the squad. Know the Rank Structure up through Division leader and be familiar with who holds those positions. Corporal’s are also expected to participate in recruiting lobbies, and assist members with the recruiting process. Essentially Corporal's are back bone of most military forces and is on the Access Denieds when recruiting and representing KSI.

Sergeants (SGT):

Description: This position is awarded to Privates and Corporals that have acquired a KSI Tag.

1. Expected to attend any and all meetings from this rank forward.

Description: This position is given to those Sergeants who have proven themselves as future leaders of the squad but are not yet ready for LT because either lack of time or the LT positions are filled.

1. Should constantly encourage KSI name changes.

2. *Must* be flawless in recruiting procedures.

3. Should frequently check their respective squad tag for Privates and Corporals and hold game lobbies for them.

4. Responsible for training their squad members on how to recruit properly.

5. Should randomly quiz recruiters on recruiting procedures and methods.

Lieutenants  (LT 1-4 ):

Description: This position is given to those Sergeants who may become eligible for a promotion after 3 weeks of training and experience in KSI.

1. Ensure the weekly recruit quota is met. (5)

2. Daily check of the Recruit Tag and train *any* available recruits on the tag.

3. Handle issues the SGT'S and SSGT'S cannot fix.

4. Helps the CPT'S when and where needed.

5. Must recruit if asked or may continue to do such actions while doing other duties.

6. Know how to run background checks and conduct them on random squad members.

Captains (CPT 1-4 ):

Description: This position is given to those Lieutenants who may become eligible for a promotion after 5 weeks of training and experience in KSI.

1. Eligible to run a HH team.

2. In charge of any organized squad practices.

3. *Must* be a master in recruiting and training.

4. Suggests which SSGT'S should be LT'S to the General.

5. 1st CPT must know how to run a squad meeting while learning to run the squad effectively if the General is away.

General

Description: This position is awarded to First Captains who may become eligible for a promotion after 12 weeks of training and experience in KSI.

Duties: Generals are to take insight and training from the Co-founders to help supervise their squads. Encourages growth of the squad at all times but careful of not spamming the members too much. Generals are responsible for all training within the squad. Generals assist officers on background checks, uniform checks, and facilitate all aspects of the recruit training program. Generals are to ensure there is a Squad meeting once a week after the Division meeting. Generals are responsible for all promotions and demotions from 1 Captain down with approval from their Co-Founder. (No Public Disciplinary Action is condoned) This is to ensure that there is no quick judgment calls, favoritism, and the best decision will be made for the squad.

BRAVERY FOR THE WIN !! 

• Game nights and Lobby Play- Make it your duty to, well, PLAY. This is what we all joined KSI for anyway. We joined to meet other mature gamers that we would enjoy playing Xbox with. Utilize the squad tag friends list to add and invite other members from the squad. (I did so today, invite 4 random Unity members I have never played with before, and all 4 joined and we had fun playing, so nobody can say it's impossible.)
  
• Forums Activity- Read the GZ Area and other areas actively, and post frequently. This helps you feel more apart of the community aspect. You will gain knowledge about KSI and feel more dedicated from this added involvement.
  
• Knowledge- Try to gain as much knowledge from those around you as possible. Ask questions, take notes, memorize rank structure. The more you know, the more you gain.
  
• Strength- Don't look at an obstacle, such as dwindling numbers within the squad, and think it is too much to overcome. Approach all problems at a low, grassroots, level and focus on effecting change on 1 person, then 2 people, then 5, and 10, and so on.
  
  
• Integrity- Your words and actions are all you have. If you promise something, or are given responsibilities, fulfill them to the greatest extent possible. Just because you rank up from SGT to 4LT doesn't mean your journey is over, because it's just beginning. When your responsibilities ask that you host game nights, recruit, train, and captain a team, you fulfill those duties. Most duties asked of you involve playing and having fun, anyway. Take advantage of that.
  
• Involvement- Get others around you involved. This was covered in the "Game nights and Lobby Play" section, but it needs to be repeated. Meeting new people that are cool and relaxed, mature, and even skilled will enrich the Xbox Live experience. Any member that has been in for a while that complains that there is nobody to play with, and thus they are bored, is encountering one of two problems: 1) That individual has no intention of staying, and has not embraced the community aspect or 2) The squad members around that individual are lazy and have not bought in to the community atmosphere. Either way, something is defunct within that squad, and it needs to be addressed. Also, get involved on teams. If your squad has no teams, go the extra mile to become an Officer to be the Captain of a team, or pressure the current officer staff to create a team (if enough support exists -- 5+ members)
  
• Initiative- Taking the extra step, going the extra mile, sharing your chili cheese fries with a homeless cat outside a Home Depot. If no game nights are occurring, if recruitment is slacking, if members aren't having fun, aren't getting along, or some other issue presents itself, bring the issues to your General (or highest ranking officer) and then GO OUT AND CHANGE IT. YOU can be the change. You don't need a rank to gather a group of players, you don't need a rank to find recruits (but you do need a SSGT or Officer there to train), you don't need a rank to have fun. Many issues can be solved by initiative being taken, and issues can be solved on a much lower level.
  
• Maturity- We aim to be a mature community. Jeffery calling you a poop head, or you making fun (and hurting the feelings of) Jeffery because of his horrendous bowl-cut, is not what we need here. All new members must be 16 years of age or older (in GZ), and these issues should not be happening among anyone who has a license to operate a motor vehicle. If you can drive a 3,000+ lb vehicle and are able to restrain yourself from running over old ladies who cross the street slowly, you should be able to abstain from insulting and offending members on an online gaming community.
  
  
• Reinforcement- "I told him the other day... he didn't listen, I guess." Not acceptable. The saying states that 3 times is the charm. Research says that something must be repeated at least 3 times for our brains to absorb the information. Principles of KSI, active membership, and weekly, monthly, and long-term goals must be covered over and over again, but with caution. If reinforced too much, the member base grows tired of the message and becomes disinterested. If not covered enough, the base is ignorant to the ideas. Cover them directly and indirectly, i.e. Directly = "Lets go get 3 recruits this week"; Indirectly = "Unity got 2 recruits last week, I told the General there we could beat them, do you all think we can?"
  
• Positivity- It's infectious. Give kudos when deserved, and pass around the good vibrations. The Beach Boys would be proud.
  
• Competition- This is an underlying principle to all success. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm (and competition). There is no doubt in my mind that the guy who invented the toilet was trying to impress a lady and, thus, compete with that creepy guy down the street who has a house full of poop. Competition drives everything in this world. Humans are wired for competition; we want to be the best. Use this ideal to create teams, recruit actively, hold game nights, etc, ALL in the hopes that each aspect of the squad/division are BETTER than a competing one.
  
• Sportsmanship/Gamesmanship- This is an addendum to the competition factor. When we compete in KSI, the goal is not to create an unfriendly atmosphere and make others feel bad. Proceed with caution, and always remember that these competitions are not the end all, be all. We are all among friends here. In KSI, we never leave a member behind and we never alienate any member or squad.
  
• Dedication- Finish what you started. My parents always said it when I played soccer competitively from ages 7 through 17. If obstacles hit, they would reassure me that the character and self-esteem I would gain from finishing my tasks and jobs would be worth the pain. Of course, with KSI you shouldn't have to worry about concussions, sprained ankles, heartbreaking losses, and the occasional heart issues. Remember that being dedicated will help make all work worth it. The more time you put in, the more you get out. Whether it be rank or fun, the saying holds true.
  
• Pride- TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR MEMBERSHIP. We don't accept just ANYONE. You are one of the few that has an xbox, is over the age of 14, isn't a bigot, and enjoys the community atmosphere. We are not a majority. But we are a tight knit family that is here for each other. An extension where we can help you with issues if you want it. Family. <3
  
• Improvement- Always strive to be better on Tuesday than you were on Monday. If the goals are placed on a small basis, many small steps will make a large step easier. We can all learn from this. As a CPL, don't get excited to be a CPT when you have yet to change your name, get trained, and even become a LT first. Use each one of those milestones as small, individual, goals. And remember: YOU CAN DO IT!

• Sharing/Receiving- Lastly, make sure you share, and are open to receiving, information. SHARING IS CARING. Share any hints or tips to success with those around you. Be open-minded, and not too stubborn, enough to add on to your arsenal of knowledge and leadership. CO FOUNDER

Description: This position is given to Generals who may become eligible for a promotion after 14 weeks of training and experience in KSI. Must be fully trained in the Code of Conduct, recruiting techniques, background checks, squad personnel management.

Duties

Must hold weekly meetings with Generals to improve squad performance and help solve any issues that Generals cannot solve alone. CO FOUNDERS must act as mentors for Generals who are being considered for promotion or who require additional training. Must be active on forums.

FOUNDER

Description: This position is given to those Co-Founders who may become eligible for a promotion after 18 weeks of training and experience in KSI. Must be able to maintain Squads with at least two-hundred members.

Duties

Overseeing all squads in the respective Division and making sure those squads are operating properly and in line with KSI guidelines and regulations. Assisting in solving any problem the Co-Founders bring them, giving permission to any General or Co-Founder to start a new squad.

CO DIVISION LEADER

Description:  This position is given to those Founders who may become eligible for a promotion after 20 weeks of training, experience and by achieving 400 members in their Division, while maintaining the high standards of KSI.

Duties

Overseeing and maintaining all squads in respective the division. Hold meeting to support Co-Founders and Founders in maintaining and upkeeping the KSI rules and regulations and to assist in Divisions overall development. And when a Division Leader is not present they will act on the a Division Leader behalf, they also can promote or demote Co-Founders and Founders who they feel are worthy.

DIVISION LEADER

Description: This position is given to those Co-Leaders who may become eligible for a promotion after 23 weeks of training and experience in KSI while maintaining a Division with at least 300 members, this is the highest rank within any Division. Must be able to make hard choices and keep a composed and calm nature during stressful situations.

Duties

Being role model members of KSI and of their Division by maintaining the KSI guidelines and regulations while at the same time being professional and keeping an open minded attitude. They have meeting with directors and can make recommendations for Co-Division Leaders.

DIRECTOR

Description: This position is given to those Division Leaders who may become eligible for a promotion after 30 weeks of training and experience in KSI. Must be able to maintain two or more Divisions and need to act in a respectable and professional manner.

Duties

Making  major decisions within Divisions keeping Divisions organized and holding meetings with Division leaders and training them. They must uphold the Code of Conduct and must stay active on forums and contribute on their Division's webpage while also encouraging others too, they are capable of promoting and demoting within the Division.

Also so leaders within KSI can know when your gamenights are and can try to attend them as well.

I have several goals including but not limited to getting to 4000 members, reestablishing and running LEAD programs (one 4 week program already done, 1 more on the way) . Getting the AAP awards back on the forums, keeping the forums running with no down periods (lol trying our best) and so much more, what this division can help with is getting back to 4000 members and getting new members on the forums. 

GZ is currently 3.4 percent of KSI So with the that i took the percent of your members to all of ksi and did the same thing with the 610 members we need to achieve this goal resulting in 45 members being the goal of this division

which may sound like a lot but broken down it is not that bad what so ever

with 3 squads (assuming g14 is somewhat close to accurate i know it is has been down) that is 8 members added to each sqaud tag (again i know if some are close to max it may not be doable but with mixing and matching and helping out other squads it is not impossible)
