Standard Operating Guidelines: (SOG)

Blacklist:

Merge-/-Merging:

> The Act of combining 2 or more squads or divisions into one.

Do Not Hire (DNH):

> The removal of a member for breaking the CoC with a serious enough breach to be removed from either KSI, Division, Squad or a program but not enough to be blacklisted

Transfer:

> The act of a member moving from one division/area to another with the consent of there leadership

Poaching:

> The Act of Coxing a member of another Squad, Division, or Clan to join you illegally. This is Highly Disapproved In KSI.

Clan-Ops:

> All Operations taking place in Squads or Divisions. Highest Ranking Member in Clan Ops is Senior Director

Web-Ops:

> All Operations Taking place on any web Site

Clan Hitting:

• The Act of destroying what another Squad, Division or Clan has Built. Generally Caused by Members who can not create there own squad, Division or Clan due to lack of leadership abilities. Forbidden in KSI, If you Cant Build something don't destroy others.

Ranks and their Duties:

Sergeant

Description:

This position is awarded to those members who have acquired a KSI tag.

Requirements:

Acquiring a KSI Gamer tag

Duties:

Sergeants should know the rank Structure up through Senior Director, and who holds each position. Sergeants are expected to assist with all squad activities and squad meetings. Sergeants are to ensure all members are staying in uniform, and present themselves as role models for other members within the squad.

Reports to:

Lieutenants, and any other higher rank.

Comments:

The sergeant position is one where you will be expected to be proactive by being assertive and utilizing initiative. Use this time to gather all knowledge, and partake in training involving recruiting, squad management, KSI standard operating guidelines, and procedures.

Abbreviation: SGT

Staff Sergeant

Description:

The Staff Sergeant rank is used in those squads with a large amount of sergeants.

This position is given to those Sergeants who have proven themselves as future leaders of the squad but are not yet ready for LT becuase either lack of time or the LT posistions are filled.

The position is appointed by the Generals with approval by Co-founder.

Age Recruitment Policy:

• KSI's Minimum Recruitment policy on Age is: 15+ Years All Divisions are allowed to Allow members Aged 15 and older to Join their Division. By allowing the youth of Xbox live gamers to enter the community it will in turn give them an incite to basic management skills and developing leadership traits. If a Division does not want any members younger than a specified age to join **example: one Division has minimum age of 17** Then They must have another Division to be able to hand off the member to, in order to not leave any member behind.

Searching For Recruits:

• Advance into a social or ranked match game type of your choice. when recruiting make sure to have your team in lobby chat to effectively communicate with other players. Party Chat or Private Chat may cause you to miss questions from potential recruits Play by the Code of Conduct and represent KSI positivity to the fullest. During the match, communicate with the non-community members in a positive attitude as well as your fellow community members to encourage interest in KSI. Joke around and have fun while playing. If they seem intrested and ask questions, answer them and ask if they would like to join our community after getting to know them or vice-versa. If they accept Then go into "The Recruitment Process"

The Recruitment Process:

1. Talk to the potential new recruit, make sure he/she is Mature and of the correct age to even join KSI and has a Gamerscore of 500 or higher. (This is to prevent ghost account's from entering into our Division)

2. Explain the KSI Code of Conduct clearly, make sure the player agrees to all of KSI’s standards

3. Explain our structure, such as Divisions/ Squads/Ranks/ Uniforms/ History

4. Give instructions on how they acquire their KSI uniforms. This includes Motto/Bio & In-game uniform.

(Clan Tag / Armor Colors)

5. Show them the squad tag they will be assigned to, and have them add it to their friends list.

6. Have the recruit then register on such as www.KSIGlobal.org and www.KSIForums.org

7. Give them information of the Division/Squad, such as weekly meetings/events and what time they occurs.

8. Explain how members can advance through the ranking structure, and what benefits they can have depending on what kind gamer they are. (Social/ Competitive/ Leader)

9. Keep asking if they have any questions after each step of the way to ensure they have a full and complete understanding of KSI and how it works.

10. Now if there are no more questions, and the Recruitment Process went fine. Continue to keep in contact with the member and keep track of there progress and make sure they are getting the best out there KSI experience, And just have fun!

• Meeting notes for all squads must be posted no later than the 48 hour window provided to you so i other words after your squad meeting you will have 48 hours to post the meeting notes along with the attendance in the specified area.
• We as a division need to beef up the recruiting as we are getting too comfortable with what we have so make sure your squad mates know in order for them to get promoted there must be a recruit to replace them.

Senior Forum Mod.

On May 18th, a close group of friends and family known as the Marathon Gamers will be hosting another gaming marathon in hopes of raising money for the American Cancer Society for cancer research. The Marathon Gamers will be gaming for a total of 36 hours to raise as much as they can for charity. Over the past five years the group has raised over $10,000 for various charities and they continue to strive to do better and raise more with every event.

The Marathon Gamers will be broadcasting their event live on the internet with the help of TwitchTV while they play through as many games as possible, doing anything they can to entertain viewers in hopes of gathering donations and to have fun while doing it. Those who watch the event are encouraged to participate by e-mail or by the supplied chat room, where they can ask questions and are welcome to participate in any way they are able.

Viewers are asked to donate money through the marathongamers.org website, all donations are processed through PayPal to ensure no money is touched by the Marathon Gamers. Every cent is sent directly to the American Cancer Society the moment it is donated. The events and the group is completely funded out of the pockets of its members.

The American Cancer Society is a charitable organization that provides research funding while also spreading awareness on all types of cancer. The founder of Marathon Gamers, Joshua Hickman, chose this charity two years ago to raise money in honor of his grandfather, Robert Hickman, who was battling with stage 4 adenocarcinoma, an advanced form of lung cancer that was believed to have been caused during his service in the Navy, in which he participated in the nuclear testing on Christmas Island. Though last Fall Robert lost his battle against cancer, the Gamers are now raising in memory of Josh's grandfather, and will continue to do so until they are unable.

The Marathon Gamers go live with their event on May 18th and will continue playing throughout the weekend. NOTES/DISCUSSION:

• GAME SHOP is now on the forums for all to purchase games, Microsoft points for both USA and UK (conversion applicable) and subscriptions.
• Blacklisting and DNH (Do Not Hire) can only be done by the Senior Directors and no one below this rank so no more crying wolf. Security threats are to be reported to the IA Rep for your division and issued by the highest ranking member in your division. 
• XBL is our primary source of communication in KSI and the secondary is the forums. Facebook, Skype, Twitter, KIK and etc. will never be a primary source of communication because we are an XBL Gaming Community.
• Returning Member Policy has been updated. If a member leaves KSI and then decides to return he or she must start off back as a Sergeant and hold each for approximately 2 weeks while doing the SOP of those ranks until they get back to their respectable rank in which the KSI time frame will then fall back into place.
• There will be another WW opportunity next weekend on Saturday in a Halo 4 FFA Tourney so if interested please sign up at www.weekendwarfare.org for details and a spot.
• Remember to use the Chain Of Command, if you have a problem or a situation start with your Lieutenants and go up from there. The 7s do have an open door policy but please do be mindful of the traffic of information they receive too.
• All Sergeants must start bringing in a minimum and maximum of 2 recruits a week, so if you bring in 4 people this does not mean your good for 2 weeks......2 PER WEEK ONLY
• HH (Head Hunters) will be starting up soon for Cypher once we find and applicable member for that spot but right now our main focus is fixing the squad and resurrecting it.

Starting this Friday TM will be having a referral,Recruit and Trainig Spin-Off which will enable the two squads to compete against or with each other for microsoft points.

Top Referrer= 800pts FOR

Top Trainer= 800pts SQUAD

There will be points to be given out for the winners so if you wanna win some of those points here are some things you might wanna know!

ALL REFERRALS:

Can only be done by a Corporal.

Must be handed to a KSI member for recruiting (Preferably a Sergeant or Staff Sergeant).

Must have Referred by and date in Bio.

ALL RECRUITS:

-All recruits must be familiar with the KSI Code of Concuct and KSI Ranking Structure.

-Must have gone through a backgroung screening/check (they must not have any blacklisted members or anyone that is a security threat to TM or any other Division in KSI).

-Must be added to the recruit tag in proper uniform for them to be counted as a recruit (NOTE: Any recruits/members added to the recruit tag not in uniform,private profile settings or not an applicable gamer score will     a     automatically be removed and not counted at all).

-Must have Recruited by and date in Bio including who referred them if different from the recruiter.

ALL TRAINS:

-Must be knowledgable of KSI Code of Conduct and KSI ranking Structure.

-Must have gone through a backgroung screening/check (they must not have any blacklisted members or anyone that is a security threat to TM or any other Division in KSI).

-Must be in proper KSI uniform with their profile settings properly set (Profile viewing and sharing set to open for all and friends list set to friends only).

-Must be added to the squad tag and removed from the recruit tag while still honouring the 48 hour minimum waiting period.

-Must have who they were Trained by,Recruited by and/or referred by if different from recruiter with date in Bio.

SOME RECRUITS MUST BE RECRUITED FOR KSI Cypher TM

This challenge will continue for one week only so gear up and get ready because some lucky winners will recieve 800msp when this is said and done!

The last day for refferals,recruiting and Training for this Spin-Off challenge will be on Friday May 24,2013 at 10:00pm est.,any added after this time will not count towards this challenge!
