Let me start by introducing myself. I am KSI(gamertag), (rank) of (Squad and Division).

           (please give complete div name. 90% of recruits don’t know their division, much less what the initials stand for.)

May I please have your age, and the year you were born please? (born on or before Today’s date of 2001)

If there is any question of the recruits age, Use your best discretion in finishing the orientation. Depending on circumstance, end the orientation and notify your Gen immediately, and/or send the recruit to the forums for further inquiries as to their age. Be kind and polite in any action you see fit, remember, we still want them thinking positive about KSI in any case.

When you were recruited you went over several things, including what KSI stood for. Can you tell me what that is?

If not, please explain that KSI stands for Knowledge, Strength, and Integrity and what each of those mean to us as KSI members.

Now your recruiter also went over our Code of Conduct with you. Do you have any question’s regarding he CoC?

Answer any and all questions about the CoC at this point. If they have none, ask a few poke questions to ensure they understood CoC. (i.e. poke question: "Ok, so you understood that you must maintain a professional manner in all game play, chat lobby’s included?)

Can you tell me what #4 is in the CoC? It was emphasized as one of the most important rules we as KSI must follow.

           If they can answer this correctly then proceed with training from the *****

If not answered correctly then remind them it is, A KSI member never leaves another member behind.......

           Then go back over the CoC with them in short. Giving just a brief description on key rules.

*****Be sure to ask the recruit if they will follow the CoC, if they are unwilling to do so, then terminate training and politely inform the recruit that they are unable to join KSI due to unwillingness to comply.

Explain the importance of KSI tag prefix and what KSI means.

Ensure the recruit knows that it is a requirement for higher ranks due to the fact that if a person wants to lead in KSI then they should be proud enough of the community to show their affiliation no matter what they are doing on XBL. It is also important that you let the recruit know that KSI does not tolerate KSI gamertags that references drugs or sex. If caught with such a gamertag that breaks the Code of Conduct you will be subject to change it and you will not be eligible for any promotions.

At this point after explaining what it takes to move beyond a Cpl. in KSI, recite the rank structure: RCT, PVT, CPL, SGT, LT, CPT, Gen, COFO, Founder, Co-Div, Div-Leader, Director, Senior-Director.

Explain the basic duties of the ranks RCT-SGT and that it take involvement and effort and dedication to move up and become a leader in KSI.

Explain to the recruit that they must follow the chain of command and bring any issue to their next highest member (SGTs and below go to LTs, LTs go to CPTs, CPTs go to the Gen and so forth.) It is important for issues to be handled at the lowest level possible so that leaders at all levels get experience and become better leaders. If a leader is unable to resolve the issue, then it will be taken to the next higher level.

Explain the importance of Squad Meetings.

(We have them for accurate and complete dissemination of: information, news, upcoming events, and the opportunity for members to bring up issues/ideas.)

(As a officer you should be able to inform this trainee of their squads meeting times and or have the resources to find out for them)

(You should also be able to inform them as to whom their Gen is)

Also if they should need to miss a meeting that they should send a message as to why to their Gen before the meeting.

Explain the purpose of the squad tag.

The Squad Tag (offers a complete list of squad members so that    members can see who else in the squad is online without having to add all 50 or more members. By going to the friends list of the squad tag, members can invite others that are online and still save space on the member’s friends list.) Explain as well that any messages sent FROM the squad tag are top priority and followed as such as would any command from the squads general.)

Explain the importance and proper usage of the forums - www.ksiforums.org.

The Forums are a great way to converse with other members and maintain a constant flow of information throughout the community as well as the many resources and aid available on the forums. As a member you are only allowed to be in the use of        one forums account. Violation of this will either end in a ban or a perma-ban from the forums. If someone is using the same           computer or you share households and hold the same IP, you must get with a forum admin first before creating an account. Without validation of an admin you will be banned. If you ever have problems with signing in get with the admins for help,             creating another account will only get both accounts and your IP banned from the forums.

Now ask again if they have any questions or comments on anything that you have just gone over with them. Once everything has been answered or no questions remain, continue.

Ask the recruit that they go to "Edit Profile"

           From there they need to go into "Motto" and remove the RCT and replace it with PVT

           Then that they enter their "Bio" and add to their existing bio "Trained by (your name) on (todays date)"

Now ask that they please go to their friends list.

           Ask that they find the friend KSI TI RECRUIT and remove it please.

           Now go to add a friend and that they add (Copy Motto w/o rank)

I.e. KSI CYANIDE TI PVT, they add KSI CYANIDE TI

           After which ask and make sure that it shows pending on their friends list.

On Xbox one make sure they send a message to squad tag saying hi.

While they are doing this you the trainer send a message to the Recruit tag saying you trained this person so they can be removed.

           Check and double check their BIO and MOTTO for correct information and for being correctly displayed.

Now let me be the first in Officially welcoming you KSI. Remember to be active for your squad on forums and supportive of all KSI members.

Send a Notice to the welcoming committee so they can be welcomed properly to everyone. And now go and have some fun or get them involved with someone if you are not available to. Whatever you do, do not just up and leave someone without trying to introduce them around unless it is by their will.

 At this point, we will review the Code of Conduct and its rules. If you have any questions about the CoC, please stop me in the speech or review the official version found on the forums after you have been granted access to the website.

1. Every KSI member must read and understand the Xbox Live® Terms of Service and Code of Conduct. In order for you to be here, you have already agreed you’ve done this.

 2. KSI does not tolerate discrimination, racism, or harassment, by or towards, any member of KSI in any situation.

 We maintain a standard of respect among our members. Violations of this policy are considered among the most severe in KSI.

These include, but are not limited to:

 - Excessive taunting or making fun of a person’s playing ability

 - Racism

 - Offensive Slurs or Derogatory Remarks, Threats

 - Screaming or any other form of disruptive microphone behavior, Excessive foul language

 - Discrimination or the use of any word that can describe ones sexual orientation or their nationality

 We are here to be supportive to all players. All members are expected to maintain a professional and respectful attitude at all times, even if others around you are not.

3. Leaders within KSI are responsible for: the organization of all squad matches and practices, posting match scores, maintaining professional game play during squad matches, as well as oversight and evaluation of performance and behavior of lower ranking members.

4. A KSI member: NEVER LEAVES ANOTHER KSI MEMBER BEHIND.

 Members may not appear offline or have their motto hidden from the community during any KSI function. Players should not be booted or forcibly removed from a party unless they have first been asked to leave and refused. Quitting a game out of frustration or anger, and not informing a team mate that they need to back out, is considered unsportsmanlike conduct and unbecoming of a KSI member. All are considered in violation of the CoC.

5. All members have an “Open Door Policy” to speak with Leaders and Founders on any issues or with any ideas. But still impress the responsibility to report to the appropriate leaders within the KSI Chain of Command.

 6. A KSI member takes pride in his or her membership and is encouraged but not forced to change their gamer tag to reflect KSI. Recruits will not be allowed to join if their gamertag, motto, or bio includes anything that is deemed to be of a sexual nature or has to do with any and all illegal drugs, whether it is explicitly spelled out or implied. Also, gamertags CAN NOT end with a space then the number 7. This is reserved to indicate upper leadership. If a member changes his/her gamertag while in KSI and it does not follow the CoC, the member shall have an opportunity to change their gamertag. If the member refuses, they will be removed from KSI.

7. KSI members must maintain a professional manner and attitude during play as well as within lobby chat in order to represent KSI as a positive gaming community. We expect every member to display honesty, fairness, and integrity at all times. Honesty is one of the cornerstone principles of KSI. Any form of dishonesty is considered to be a serious violation of the CoC and is not acceptable within the community. We also have a Drug and Alcohol policy, and ask members refrain from discussing anything illegal in nature while gaming with, or without the community. We also ask that members present themselves in a professional manner at all times.

8. KSI members are not permitted to be a part of any other gaming community, team, or clan other than KSI. Member poaching, clan hitting or any other destructive act directed toward KSI or any other gaming community is strictly prohibited.

9. The lowest allowed age to be recruited into KSI is: 15 (-KSI Senior Leadership reserves the right to remove any member regardless of age-)

10.A list of prohibited activities include, but are not limited to: Illegal Drugs, Software Alteration, Modding of Games, Console Manipulation, Other Forms of Piracy, Racketeering, Money laundering, Blackmail, Murder, Child Pornography, Prostitution, Bestiality, Incest, Slavery, Fraud, Cannibalism, Theft, Vigilantism, Harassment, and Acts of Treason.
