Maintaining the Omega (Generals) (7/30/19)
Please make sure squad members game-types are set to the correct game-type to the squad they are in. It is also essential that we are ensuring that Privates are being trained and moved up in a timely manner. Once a Private reaches the 2 week period, you need to be asking yourself, "Is this person fluff?". It is also just as important we are ensuring all Corporals are active in some capacity and not just fluff.
Part of maintaining your Omega is making sure it matches your squad tag. Keeping on top of the Omega and the squad is part of your job as GENs and its part of the 7 staff to make sure you are maintaining them properly. It is a good habit when you add or remove anyone from one remove or add them from the other right then.

Is set for August 16-18, 2019 some games may change, but at this point this is the schedule as it stands for the event. Remind your members that you HAVE TO be a Donor and MUST HAVE the Donor Award on the forums. You still have time to make a donation and get your award.

Utilizing the Forums: (8/6/19)
It's important that we are making sure we are being active on the Forums and pushing all members to also be active. The earlier people are introduced to the Forums the better. It gives people a chance to get familiarised with the layout and general navigation on the forums as it can be daunting at first. Then when they become an officer they will already know the basics.

Member Retention (8/6/19)
Every rank from RCT all the way up is important! Too often do we see CPLs and PVTs getting lost within the daily doings of the community. As leaders and members of the community it is our job to ensure all members are being included in all activities within the squad and division. If there is a member you haven't spoken too or seen in the a squad meeting for a while, reach out to them, see what's happening. Ask them what kind of games and activities they want to see in the squad.

Disagreements on Discord (7/23/19)
Please remember the the COC applies in your discord server. When chatting in there it is the same as being in a party. We don’t want to break the COC. This means Officers especially, you should be setting an example for others to follow. If you have a problem with something posted by another officer. Don’t argue about it in the chat. Follow the chain of command and to take care of the issue. Remember we praise in public and scold in private.

Squad Tag Messages: (7/30/19)
For a long time our Squad Tag messages that needed to be sent out weekly has been 3. After a lot of discussion we have made the decision to lower the message requirement to 2 messages a week. Try to make the 2 messages one a positive message and the other something related to the squad. For example a game night, the squad meeting, or a workshop.  

Observe and Report (7/30/19)
Open and honest communication is important when we see something that is wrong. Sometimes people make mistakes that they don't know or think they are making but we as officers or members can help point it out to them or those above them. That way they can be corrected before it continues on for too long and becomes a problem.

Know Your Limits (8/6/19)
It is important that when dealing with KSI issues that might come up not to take on more than you can handle. Even though you might think that you have things handled, it is easy to bite off more than you can chew or burn yourself out. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, it's not a sign of weakness it’s knowing your limits. We are all here to help each other out.

man i haven’t done one of these in months. should probably not post that. going to... but probably shouldn’t. anyway. this man has had my back since i came back and decided to be an officer again. from helping me hide the bodies to giving me advice and pointers he’s always been there. he balances RL and Xbox like he’s been walking a knifes edge since he was a kid and always tries to make himself available to anyone that needs him. i’ve seen him in parties late into the night and when i’d ask what he was doing the next day “dealing with issues man. you know how it is.” unfortunately no i do not. not the point tho.

its funny. if Dragons is the sounding board for my ideas, then Uppish is the brush with which i make my vision come to life. whether it’s handling meetings because i’m either out or in a meeting of my own, or dealing with the squad when i’m in my own head, he’s always there ready to enact my plan. we don’t always see eye to eye but most of the time we are on the same page. we’ve messaged each other like yo need to talk then when we hook up it’s like YOOO I WAS JUST THINKING THAT SAME THING! he’s an awesome Captain, and he’ll make an excellent Gen one day. he just needs to slow down a bit and enjoy the migraine free days while they last.

shes been my newest go-to when i need something done delicately. she’s always available and i know that when i need someone to gently tell a member something i can trust that she’ll get it done with no muss or fallout. she’s been an integral part of the team since she’s joined. doing promos and trainings with a zeal and flair i haven’t seen in a while. not to mention the sheer excitement she exudes when it comes to her gamenights. i’ve NEVER seen anyone more excited to host a gamenight.

He kinda had a bit of a slow start where he was trying to find his legs, but once he did he was frickin GONE! he’s taken to being an officer like a fish takes to water or like white takes to rice. he’s the most rounded officer i know, he just needs a bit more confidence. so i’ve been stress testing him which kinda looks like bullying. was just looking for him to tell me to stop. but 3 recruits in 2 days isn’t bad for a newbie. i hope to be able to watch him grow for a long time to come.

Leaders: Just because you have a rank doesn't mean you can talk to members however you please. Push For Community Involvement Universally:
To all members in the community, specifically the leaders: Get involved in departments and Div Cup. These are 2 crucial components to this community and it is the duty of every member and leader, to at least try to get involved with them and if not, push those around you to do so. Again, why not optimize your KSI Experience by trying everything that you can to see what it is that you want to do in your career with us?
Positivity:
Make sure that when we as leaders are dealing with issues that we are not venting towards or creating an air of negativity. It is our job, as leaders within the community to handle and address issues as they come up, doing our jobs should never impact our members and their experience.
 
Discord COC Apply's:

We don’t want to be breaking any part of the COC especially harassment of fellow KSI members. Remember if your having an argument take it into a private DM and please remember the officers are there to help resolve any issues that might come up.

We have been in the process of creating uniform Discord servers for every division for quite some time now. In the weeks to come some of these changes will be made towards achieving that goal. This includes but is not limited to:

A member of Hellborn was considering becoming an officer. the only obstacle was he didn't have a KSI name. my mans Uppish went to the store and got this man a 10$ code to get a new name. (he was previously UnbeltedGold 753. hes now KSI Unbelted) @Dragons 7 can you witness my mans?

Uppish  is the type of person that is very outgoing and very driven to succeed (not only for himself but for others as well). He goes above and beyond to include everyone in game nights, conversation on discord and all around just being there for people. A while back Uppish was in a different squad that was doing quite well it was close to a split. Myself and the rest of the seven’s staff approached him to do a business transfer to a squad that really could use the help he seemed like a perfect fit he played the games they played, he got around to other squads and his personality fit in with the hellborn way. Uppish did have a lot of questions and understandably wanted to know what he was getting into, after we explained the whole situation and he thought on it for a few days (because it was a big decision) he agreed to go over and help out and that he did. At one point it was just him and one other captain (besides of course the acting GEN Dragons) he never gave up. Uppish kept on giving it his all by hosting multiple game nights, recruiting and being a leader within headhunters he did it all without complaining and helped keep his current squad not only a float but prospering he has had a major impact on DM.

Uppish has been one of the most driven people I've seen since hes come to KSI.  Every time he talks with someone that has any kind of KSI knowledge, he wants it. Always learning. And always striving to be better. Though there have been a few bumps in the road. He always bounces back, and does better then ever.
He has played a huge part in the current success of his squad. From recruiting, to just hanging out with the members so they have someone to play with. Uppish goes above and beyond what is expected of him.  Hes always available and willing to help with any issue. If he doesnt have the answer or solution, he'll  get it ASAP. He has no problem reaching out for help. I cant wait to see what's is store for this guy as he continues to grow.

Award - Outstanding Service 1
Reasoning - When I first joined KSI, it’s not hard for me to say that I had a rough start. After everything was said and done, I had no one and it seemed like my time in KSI had come to an end. With most people thinking one way of me,Uppish was never swayed by the opinions of others and chose to get to know me himself.
As I sit here writing this, with a heavy heart filled with love and respect for this man and tears in my eyes thinking of his impact on my life as a mentor. I couldn’t be happier and proud to say that he is the reason I stayed in KSI. Him giving me a chance and taking me in when it felt like no one else wanted me around was a gift all on its own. He made my decision to stay all worth while in the end.
After some time has passed, it’s safe for me to say I have made the best of memories, the most worth while of lessons that I couldn’t learn on my own and friends I could call family.
Through his mindset  ,cheerfulness, and sense of leadership he was able to give me a second chance. He never gave up on me even though the entire time I was ready to give up on myself. To Uppish I will be  eternally  grateful for all that he has given me and even more grateful for the lessons, friends, and memories yet to come.
He has done so much for me, I was just a small part of KSI and if he was able to put that much effort into one person, I can’t imagine the amount of effort he puts into everything else, not just in KSI.

So I only know Uppish from my Lead 101 class really,but I will drop in a tiny bit of support here.
Uppish is one of those people I can see going far in his KSI career. He had some amazing ideas for his squad when we had discussions,and truly believe he is implamating them now...and I say that because the simple nomination for this award goes to show that he is taking care of his people in DM. 
Every night I'm on,I take a quick look at my friends list to see what everyone's doing. This guy is always in a party,so rest assured that he is doing his job correctly as a Captain.
I'll let everyone else give their detailed knowledge of this guy,but he definitely deserves this award in my books.

I havent been in DM a year yet and i havent known Uppish as long or as well as the DM members and staff does, but what i do know about uppish is that he is a hatd working dedicated officer to DM he has been playing a vital part in the revamp of Hellborn after its rough patches in the past he works along side the Gen to keep everyone active, and having fun. Being in a party with uppish is never a dull moment and i recently became a officer myself again and its been awhile since ive seen a officer as great as uppish is, i believe this man here deserves more than OS1 and i know he will continue to strive for greatness and achieve the best environment for Hellborn and all the DM. Uppish deserves OS1 and more and i look forward to working along side him to see what he great ideas and knowledge he continues to bring to the team.
