Since i've known DC, he's been all in with everything he does. Since he took over as Head of Education, i've watched how everything he's revamped affects those going through the workshops and classes. I have to say, it's definitely been for the better. When I first came into KSI, there wasn't much of an emphasis on workshops, or at least with previous leadership. Now, not only is it highly encouraged, but it's super useful information to obtain. It's helped me as a leader, those around me, and the future leaders within KSI. With everything DC has going on, he always seems to find the time to be involved and helping those in need. The man is an educator that cares, and while he may not tell you what you want to hear, he will always tell you what you need to hear, and make sure that it sinks in. He's always popping into workshops and leadership courses whenever he's able, playing devil's advocate, and really makes you think about the information being given. He inspires people to think, and it's contagious in a way that makes those involved not only want to lead by his example, but become better leaders by addressing any situation with an open mind, and draw from that process of critical thinking. Beyond what he does in education, he also serves as a phenomenal officer in CS. He'll drop whatever he's doing to bring in a new recruit, knock out a promotion, train those that need training...i'm not sure when he actually gets to sit down and chill lol. When DM was on the brink of closure (and eventually did), DC was the first to ask how he could help, and that spoke volumes to me regarding his commitment to KSI. He made sure that the officer staff had what we needed with training, so we could succeed in the transfer to a new division. Without his help, it very easily could've been a total collapse, but Wrath made it through, and came out stronger as a result. Yippee Ki Yay!

I do believe DC is someone who should have this award. In my role alone, I've had to shut him down on several things after he poured work into them trying to make things work. He's bounced around Divisions and Departments both, trying to improve the places he can. That hasn't always went smoothly either, but he still gives his best effort and is still here. He also is really throwing what he has at being the HOE, even when there were things going on internally that were trying to take education in a different direction than what DC felt was right, and he had to fight for that while his leadership was being questioned from within.

DC is one of those leaders you've seen do everything he can, and boy does he deserve this award for all the work he's fulfilled. One of the main reasons that come back to me is when he was in WD. He came over to WD when it was in a terrible situation, and helped out where he could. I got to see his work and what he did with Anarchy, if it wasn't for him, that squad would've been dead, but that work did have a tool. At that time, WD people were all over the place. He was one of the main people some of the officers and gens went to. A situation happened where he was kinda put under the spot, and if it was someone else they would've quit. Not DC. He put himself out there and kept going and got the work that needed to be done, in the end, if it wasn't for him, some parts of WD would not be here.
KSI DC 7 is someone that's been there through thick and thin, been in the trenches. The H.O.E of KSI has been through it.

Pulling from a previous post i made -
The man has accomplished so much during his time here in KSI.
I watched this man grow from the wee little Sgt in Knights, to a powerhouse recruiter, absolutely stunned me at how good he was at recruiting.
I watched him climb the ranks as an officer, always staying on top of his duties, never missing a beat.
I had the privalege to work beside him as a fellow CoFo in SL. DC is the kinda guy who will always have your back and will always be there for you.
Fast forward to the present, and this man has made it all the way to Head of Education! Hes using all his skills hes learned to project that onto the members coming up in the next generation. He pours his heart and sould into Education for KSI. KSI is prospering thanks to member like KSI DC 7.
    ------------------
on a side note, the man walked into uncharted waters as the Head of Education. Its not an easy job for anyone to take on. But time and time again, DC has shown us we chose the right man for the job. His perseverance, ingenuity, and commitment to the members of KSI is top tier.

Even with all of this going on he still is boots on the ground in CS as an officer. Not very many of us are as Die Hard as DC. Without a doubt in my mind, he deserves this award. My hats off to you sir.

Honestly it's about time someone said it. But I think it's more than fair to say that the Crunk-Man over there is 100% deserving of this one. He's been around the block time and time again. He built squad his squad in SL, then transferred to a different squad, shortly afterwards his home squad split. After transferring, he built up his new home and became General, then came a squad split, then a well-earned promotion to Co-Founder. After constantly butting heads with some around him, over a variety of issues and conflicts, DC transferred to help WD after their 7s staff up and left in the middle of the night. In WD he helped implement a new training program, retrain their squads and officers, and set sturdy foundations for the future of WD. As the Head of Education, DC willingly gave people chances to work with him despite their known disdain for him and tried to build bridges where others wished them burnt to a crisp. Crunk has always worked diligently. DC consistently and regularly pushes himself to the brink of madness for the betterment of KSI, through the creation of workshops, in performing Doom Security Checks, and in every area of his work.

I don't know how he does it, but somehow DC manages. He is, through and through, a KSI Die Hard.

I'd also like to call on @KSI Swag 77, @KSI xKing 77, @KSI TexAngel 77, @Fennyishere, @KSI Tea 7, and anyone else who wants to witness for the main man Crunk

Oh DC my wonderful History nerd. I think everyone knows the issues DC has gone through, with having to deal with all the issues he has in WD trying his very best to help in anyway he can, to now helping CS in training and in RCTing when the man clearly deserves his retirement! In the Education department he has felt with aggressive members who when they didn’t get their way left and caused a big of a commotion with in the community as a whole. Every time someone has had a issue with him he has been more than willing to burry the hatch despite those who didn’t agree with him.  When it comes to his time in SL and WD DC did all he could to help bring up both divs even with some resistance from other 7s and from past leadership. However through all that he always left those divs better than when he came there. DC has gone through his fair share of issues throughout this community and definitely Deserves this award

I will gladly drop my vote to witness for such an amazing member! I will even chunk it into different sections for what @KSI Uppish 7 has done throughout his KSI career.

Clan Ops- I will be honest I have only seen the man in action since January, but I have heard and seen countless events of what he has done in clan ops. The man literally sat at general for 14 months, but he never gave up and continued to better his squad. Although he deserved a Co-Founder position, he was always overlooked, yet he was never told why until during the Hydra Peace talks. This was purely just to persuade his mindset, but Uppish did not buy into the mindset. He decided to take the constructive criticism about what he needed to improve; however, he kept an open mindset when listening to people who had different views than himself when the LC was debating on whether we should start/continue peace talks, removal of Hydra from the blacklist etc. He always speaks up for his members and is willing to listen to any concerns or complaints members have. He is never afraid to speak his opinion and is always honest with everyone. He is definitely a known presence throughout the LC as well, which he has been member of since it's creation. He was finally promoted to Co-Founder with the creation of Chaos Syndicate. He is always hopping in parties and playing with members, but he does so much more than that. He has taken on new responsibilities to increase his knowledge of divisional level leadership, handling problems fairly, and continues to make decisions with an open mind. He has been making his presence more known throughout the division, which is an amazing thing to see rather than hanging with his homies/staying isolated only to Rebellion. He has definitely taken on the divisional level thinking perspective rather than focusing on one thing (problem or squad) only. He is showing more and more everyday that he is a capable leader within our community, and I think if he continues on the right path, then he could easily be a future community wide leader as well.

HSI- This department is no longer open, but Uppish was the man who taught me a lot within this department. The head and co head of this department hated me because the lies the senior staff member told about me (my former general who was mad at me because I transferred squads to help another squad after she left the division). I didn't have anyone to really go to at the time, so Uppish (and Starset) took me under their wing. This gave me the courage to apply for AAP.

News- He and I joined News when HSI closed down. He and I were both eager to pick News off the ground after everyone quit News and no one was really wanting to transfer to News from HSI when it closed. He took it full steam ahead and was writing and editing articles almost every week. He became senior staff  immediately and eventually News Head even though he was thinking of exploring different avenues. He did this because Airborne asked him for help. He knew that without him and myself the News team would collapse, so he put his plans on hold and took over News. He made sure it ran smoothly even though it seemed like  morale was at an all time low because he was experience a revolving door of members. He didn't just quit. He made sure he had a replacement, and, once Tea was ready, he gracefully retired from News and came back to AAP.

AAP- I have been in AAP for a long time, and like stated in the HSI portion, thanks to Uppish (and Starset). Uppish was senior staff and taught me a lot of what I know now about this department. He has always been diligent and made sure to double-check if not triple-check all of the nominations for awards (even if they are already verified). He has actually corrected a few of the things that I have verified because of his commitment to this department and because he refuses for it to become mediocre. He sets a high standard even when he is only a "regular" member within the department.

Awards:  Dude has way too many, but he has the following that I am going to list: Captain OTM Divisional (x2) Drama Queen (hehe), General of the Year (2020), OTM Runner Up (2019), AAP Staff DOTM, Donor awards galore, Department Staff of the Month, Bright Idea, and all of the CEPs/Officer/Jack of All Trades/Graduate Leader, and of course last but not least DM DHOF.

In all aspects of the community he has shown that he is a true leader and is there for his members. There is no stopping this member once he has mind set to something and his going to work his butt off in order to make sure that he will be successful in whatever he chooses to do.  He has been capped out since I have known him, and he has been successful the entire time. I am proud that I have got to meet such an amazing person. I am more proud that I get to call Uppish my friend. He is no doubt deserving of OS 2, and one day I will make sure that I will write his entire life story to make sure he earns the honor of receiving OS 3.

KSI DC 77 got a reaction from KSI Nezuko in CEP: Leadership Aspects Workshop
    CEP: Leadership Aspects
Created 3/28/2021 by KSI DC 7
    "Leadership Qualities and Applications"
Workshop Introduction: The purpose of this workshop is for members to learn the qualities that all leaders, regardless of their rank, should be able to apply at the squad, division, and community level. The aspects that will be covered in this workshop are designed to make members feel valued, which will allow officers to get their members more engaged in squad, divisional, and community events.
Workshop Occurrence: This workshop will be offered at the discretion of Divisional Leadership and Squad Leadership: Captain and higher.

    ⤙ Pre-Workshop (Conversation Starters & Discussion Topics)
The following questions may be used as conversation starters before beginning your workshop. It's important to make sure you begin by getting everyone thinking about the topic at hand.
What does effective training-in KSI look like? Is it entirely dependent on the trainer, or is it also dependent on the person being trained? Does training in KSI currently reflect that? What does it mean to be a good leader? What are the characteristics that make up good leadership? In your mind, what would effective short term goals, and long term goals look like for a  squad/division?
⤙ Workshop Core (Workshop Topics, Progression, and Key Points)
Workshop Curriculum Introduction: Throughout this workshop members will learn the effective core principles of a leader and tips to ensure successful leadership throughout all of KSI.

⤙ 1. The 7 Core Principles of an Effective Leader
When learning the 7 Core Principles of an Effective Leader keep the following quotes into consideration :
"Don't be a boss, be a leader. Be a leader, not a boss"- KSI DC 7.
A boss will tell someone what to do and then do their own thing. A leader will work with others to get things done. A leader will never ask someone to do something that they themselves are not willing to do. When a leader shows they don't mind getting their hand dirty or working in the trenches with those around them it sparks morale; it also shows the officers and members around them that they are valued. "Before you become a leader, success is all about growing yourself. After you become a leader, success is about growing others."- Jack Welch.
If you want success in your squad, division, or community, then you have to make sure that you improve yourself and afterwards everyone else around you. You should always be trying to train your replacement, and your replacement should always be better than you. The reason they should be better is because they should take all your positives/things that make the mentor successful and combine them with things that make them great. They should also make sure to leave behind the negatives/things that did not work for their mentor. "If you want to improve the organization, you have to improve yourself and the organization gets pulled up with you." - Indra Nooyi
Officers must first have personal growth before they can expect to train and help others grow. It is easier to help others find their niche once you are solid in your own skill set. Everyone is unique. It is the officers responsibility to make sure that they work together. Each officer should know their strengths and weaknesses and use their strength to help others where they might be weak. Accountability and accepting responsibility are the most important things that officers need to do in order to be successful "Success is best when it's shared." - Howard Schultz
Officers will produce their highest quality work when they feel that they are able to contribute to success and they feel valued. Stress is reduced when everyone is working together as a cohesive unit, which prevents burnout and produces a stronger officer corps. "Everyone, even the highest achievers in our complex interrelated society, can get stuck in the victim cycle on occasion, but those who believe in accountability never remain there for long." - Craig Hickman
Things don't always work out the way we think they should. We may come across things that seem that we are get short changed and that what we are doing is being overlooked. This often happens when an officer feels that they deserve a promotion, yet someone else is promoted over them. This also happens when it seems that whatever they do gets met with resistance and backlash. It is up to each officer to understand that  they can overcome anything as long as they aren't focusing on what everyone else  is doing. Officers will succeed as long as they focus on their work and are accountable for their actions.
Be Knowledgeable and Know What You Are Selling
The first core value of KSI is knowledge. If you do not know the product, then you cannot sell it. The same goes for KSI. Members look up to officers when they need help. Officers must be knowledgeable when it comes to policies and procedures of the community and the events the community hosts  to help members get involved in the community. The more an officer knows the more members will come to them. If you do not know the answer to a member's questions, then be honest with the member. Members tend to have higher respect for people when they are honest with them and admitting that you do not know something but will ask someone to help answer their question shows your integrity.
Key Point: Know what you are selling: You can't expect someone to buy into what you are teaching, if you haven't even bought into it yourself.

    Control the Room
The host of the party should always be able to control the party whenever there are multiple people in a party whether it is a group of members hanging out or a squad event is taking place. When an officer hosts an event they need to make sure they follow these steps:
Determine if it needs to be and Open or Invite Only Party  Open for Game Nights or just hanging with members Invite Only for Workshops, Squad Meetings, Recruiting, and Training Politely remove any non-essential guests or members If a guest or member is being extremely toxic If you are trying to host a workshop, squad meeting, recruit, or train Make sure everyone knows the ground rules of the party, and its' purpose. Make sure the only person who has an active mic, is the person who has the floor. Come up with a way to signal questions, and or comments (i.e posting in the party chat, on discord, or by private message). Random outbursts lead to unnecessary chaos. Members cannot be screaming over each other Give ample opportunity for interactive comments, questions, and discussion. The more active the party as a whole while still being structured, the better the learning experience will be. Make sure that the party atmosphere is enjoyable. Ultimately everyone in the party is there to learn, and to progress through their KSI career. Realize though, that people are less likely to do that if they feel like the environment around them is too much like a prison, and too little like a forum for learning. Key Point: When it comes down to it, everyone has a different style of leadership, which also means a different style of hosting parties. No one can make you do it any one way. Regardless, these seven points above will ensure that you have taken the best possible steps towards ensuring that the environment you are creating is the environment to promote success.

    Energize your members
As a trainer, you have to buy into what you are teaching. At the same time, your members have to want to buy into what you are teaching as well. In fact, this doesn't just apply to workshops. It applies to every part of KSI, whether it be leadership, recruiting, game nights, or any other duty/activity you might think of. There is no one correct way to energize members, or people in general. Everyone has different needs and desires. At the same time, there are several steps you can take to try and bring an energy that might be missing from the group. Below you will find several suggestions.
Give equal ownership in the group: Make members feel like they are truly a part of what is going on, and not just bystanders to the process.  Giving ownership to all members doesn't mean giving up your position or responsibility. Whether it be in terms of a workshop, a squad meeting, or a decision, make members feel like their opinion counts. Hear them out, engage with their ideas, comments, and questions. Take their input to heart, and help it inform your decision making process. Give everyone a voice, and a way to use it productively. Model enthusiasm and desire, even when it's hard: As a leader, and as a trainer, sometimes it is necessary for you to model the behavior that your members need to be exhibiting. If times are tough, sometimes it's up to us to lead by example and set the standard for what something should look like. The hardest part of this is doing it even when you don't feel like it's genuine. In reality, those moments are when it's most important. Members need to see that their leaders can put aside the difficulties and drama when necessary for the benefit of the group. Spend time engaging: We've all been there. We host a workshop, or a meeting, get the important info out of the way, and then go our separate ways for the rest of the day without ever engaging again. Sometimes that works. More often than not though, it doesn't. Your members need to feel like they aren't just another number. They need to feel like you genuinely care about them as people, and not just as subordinates. Whether it be during a workshop or a meeting, set aside some time to talk to everyone about something that isn't the focus of the day.  Get to know the people you work with. In the long run, it will be a benefit to you, them, and the community. Honor individual members: Everyone likes to be recognized, even for the smallest of reasons. Whether it's during the training itself, or through the course of your daily duties and interactions, take time to recognize the little things. During your workshop did someone have an excellent answer to a question? If so, point it out and praise it. Did someone ask a thought provoking question? If so, point it out and praise it. Over the course of the week, did a SGT help officers in the squad bring in new recruits, or perhaps helped to host a workshop or a game night? If so, point it out and praise it. Take the time to make it a part of your regular routine to single out those moments. Honor their achievements, and they will honor the faith you put in them. Celebrate the little things: Much like the previous point, take the time to find the little things in both KSI, and life to point out. Celebrate them. Maybe you grew five members in a week. Maybe you had 100% completion of a certain workshop. These are the positive and uplifting things that members, and the community at large need to hear about. They might seem trivial to you at the time, but a small action such as that might make the world of difference in the development of a leader,  the growth of a division, or the success of the community. Ask questions: No moment where you are a leader, whether it be a workshop, a meeting, or a recruiting party should be one sided. Building off of what has already been mentioned, make sure that you take the time to also be a participant. Ask members questions, and truly hear out their answers. Ask members their opinions on issues, or for their ideas. Ask them for their comments and their input, and strive to incorporate them in any way that might be possible. Again, make them feel like equal members of the group. Have fun: It doesn't matter if it's a workshop, squad meeting, recruiting party, or game night, you need to make sure that you, and your members are having fun . If it's always all business, then for the majority of people, there's nothing to really look forward to. Only a select few members enjoy the day to day grind. For most, this community is an opportunity to find an amazing group of people to spend time, and game with. While doing that though, they also naturally take their place in this community, whether it be as a SGT, or as a Senior Director. If you're hosting a workshop, or maybe even a squad meeting, don't be afraid to take a break or two to chat, or play a game.  Again, in the larger sense, make sure you are staying on topic and getting done what needs to be done, but at the same time, don't let the job become more important than the reason we are all here. Key Point: There is no one way to energize members. Part of that comes down to your leadership and training style. However, the most important thing we all need to realize is that, no matter our ranks, we are all in this community for the same reason. If someone feels like they aren't valued, then they don't value the community around them. The seven strategies above can help you to make sure that your members, regardless of setting, are energized and willing to move forward as productive members of KSI.

Encourage Conversation and Keep Members Engaged
We already touched on this above, but as a trainer and a leader, it's imperative to encourage conversation at all times. Through this you will find that by and large, members are more engaged, and interested in the community around them.  Naturally, creating an environment that encourages open conversation doesn't come easily to everyone. In many cases, it is a skill that has to be learned over time, and through practice. With that in mind, it is still a skill that must be learned, and put into practice if you hope to be the best trainer and leader possible. Again, like most of the items listed above, this can be implemented in any part of your KSI life, or life in general. Below you will find several tricks listed that can help you begin to create an environment of healthy conversation.
Ask a simple question, no matter the topic. Ask open ended questions that foster larger conversation. Inquire about their interests, Xbox or not. Come up with conversation starters ahead of time. Invite conversation, but don't require it. Be the facilitator, and direct the conversation. Don't give up if conversation doesn't come easy, keep at it. Key Point: Engagement is the key to any successful venture, whether it be a workshop, the building of a squad, or the community at large. The basis of an engaged community are members who are are actively involved with the world around them. Conversation is perhaps the most critical piece of the puzzle that promotes this kind of engagement, therefore it is absolutely critical that as leaders, mentors, and trainers we take very possible opportunity to encourage it.

    Be An Active Listener
If all goes to plan, you've taken the steps necessary to get your members talking. Now it's time to listen, and one of the hardest things for any person to do is actively listen. The definition of active listening means that the listener fully concentrates, understands, and analyzes what is being said. This means that when your members are communicating you have to fully engage with what they are saying by listening, responding, and participating with them. Beyond that, being an active listener means just being there to lend and ear when needed. You want your members to be actively engaged, and communicating, but part of that also means being willing to hear what they are saying.
Key Point: Encourage your members to be actively engaged and communicate, but make sure you as a leader and trainer are lending an open ear to truly hear, and understand what is being said.

Help Your Members Find Their "Why?"
Why are you in KSI? That's the question that lies at the center of this community. When we were initially recruited, we all were sold by one point, or another of the community. It might have been the tournaments, the organized structures, or the endless people to game with. In many ways, we join KSI twice. Our initial recruitment becomes blurry with time, but the moment where you decide what path you are going to take moving forward sticks with you for as long as your association with the community, and beyond. If you ask any leader in the community about why they are here, they would give you a different answer each time. Some are here because they believe in providing a safe and constructive online gaming environment, while others are just here to have fun. As trainers and leaders, one of the biggest jobs you have is to help your members find their "Why?". Not all of them are going to continue on to become leaders themselves. Some of them might end up leaving, while others might decide to just hang out and game. Others still will choose the path that takes them up the ladder of leadership. Regardless of their choice, it's imperative to ensure that you take every possible opportunity to help them find their drive in this community.
Key Point: We all have our "Why". Help your members find theirs.

Challenge Yourself, and Others, to do More
"Be the change you want to be in KSI".
Many of us have heard this quote, and many more of you will hear it in the future. How many of us actually take it to heart? KSI, like any community, is only as strong as its' members. Unfortunately, like in life, we sometimes get stuck in our routine. It becomes dull, and we start to just go through the paces, day after day. Even though it may be difficult, as leaders it is important that you strive to make sure that doesn't happen. Each day you need to challenge not only others, but yourself to do more. Reflect on the past, and try to improve on it. Is there something that you only put 50% effort into? Is there a workshop that you didn't put your whole heart into? If so, learn from it, and push yourself to do better. Do the same for the members around you. If you see someone putting in minimal effort, challenge them to take it up a notch. Don't get comfortable. Challenge yourself, and others to do more, every day, no matter the circumstances.
Key Point: Progress happens with or without you. The question is, do you want to be a part of shaping the future?

⤙ 2. CAP: Three Tips to Ensure Successful Leadership
The last important aspect of being a part of a division's leadership team is that regardless of your rank, at the end of the day, you are still just a part of one larger team that works together to better your collective home.  From Recruit to Division Leaders, it is extremely important to work cohesively as a singular unit; each carrying their weight/workload, while striving to make the best decisions possible that will then impact the division in the most positive, and beneficial way. If you cannot manage to put forth a united front in terms of conflict resolution, decision making, and leadership, or if members of the team don’t carry their weight by fulfilling their duties, it can not only hurt the division, but cause leaders to feel “burned-out”, or in many cases, lose their will to perform. To ensure successful divisional leadership and cohesive teamwork, there are three major characteristics that you must keep an eye on:
Communication Accountability Professionalism These characteristics can also be referred to as "CAP". The following is a breakdown of these characteristics which, if maintained, can help to ensure cohesive and productive leadership.

    Communication
Being able to effectively communicate among one another when it comes to needs, wants, concerns, issues, or possible improvements, is an extremely valuable attribute to any successful team. The most important part of communication which is commonly overlooked however, is the ability to do so proactively. This means that rather than addressing things right before certain situations occur, or even after the fact, they are instead addressed ahead of time., This is the best way to avoid mistakes , and to be prepared in advance for any unavoidable circumstances. This is especially needed for times when you know ahead of time you will not be able to be present or fulfill specific duties on time. Notifying your fellow staff of upcoming absences or issues you may be having, will allow them to mitigate and help share your responsibilities, rather than frantically adjusting last minute which leads to sloppy and non-productive results. Communication is key.
    Accountability
Accountability for yourself, your respective squads, and your division are extremely important when it comes to ensuring success. Of these three, personal accountability ranks the highest in importance, as you are the one who decides what role you will play in your division. If you do not hold yourself accountable for the duties and tasks of your position, you set a precedent for those who follow you, who in turn, will do the same. Another aspect of accountability is upholding your word. If you agree to something or tell your fellow members or subordinates you will do something, it is imperative that you follow through. Keeping yourself accountable for your actions, words, and prior commitments establishes a network of trust and respect, both of which are needed to be viewed as a leader and role model, rather than just a title.
    Professionalism
A high degree of both control, and professionalism are needed for a variety of reasons when you are a member of leadership in this community. As a  leader, you set the tone, and are a role model for the actions, behaviors, and language used in the community. It is impossible to ask members to do something that you yourself are not willing to do yourself, hence the expectation of leading by example. The way you speak to people, your ability to control your emotions during tense situations, as well as your views and opinions all have a lasting and reciprocated effect on your division. Specifically, handling frustrations and who you choose to express those feelings to is a large part of professionalism. Rule of thumb, never vent down the rank structure. It is not uncommon to become frustrated with tasks, problems, or your position in general. However, these feelings are to be vocalized to members ranking above you, or of your equal position, not below. When you vent down, what you say spreads to the unwanted ears of members. Not only does your word spread, it is reinterpreted time and time again portraying things that may be completely opposite of what you said initially, especially when taken out of context. This can promote negative ideas and beliefs for members, especially newer ones, that can then create a negative atmosphere, and gaming experience for others. Keeping yourself professional at all times negates this issue and maintains high spirits and morale at the same time.

    ⤙ 3. Workshop Scenarios
KSI Sea is upset that her friend KSI Pub got in trouble for addressing concerns about upper leadership to his general KSI Squid. KSI Pub was told that he needs to mind his own business and that he has no say in decisions that are made in KSI since he is only a SGT. KSI Sea who is a Captain goes to her general KSI Squid and says that members make up the community and that Squid should not dismiss members concerns because that is why we have an Open Door Policy. KSI Squid tells KSI Sea that if she doesn't stop arguing with her that she will rank suspend her for insubordination. KSI Sea uses the open door policy and goes to the Co-Founder over the squad KSI Carpet. KSI Sea says that she was addressing a concern a member brought up that was dismissed by KSI Squid. KSI Squid says that KSI Pub was harassing her and that KSI Sea snapped at her before she was even able to explain her side of the story and that the rank suspension warning was because KSI Sea overstepped a boundary and was in an uncontrolled fit of rage and defiance.  KSI Carpet listens to both KSI Sea and KSI Squid. KSI Carpet says that he can see both sides of the story and understand how a miscommunication has taken place. KSI Carpet tells KSI Squid that if she is feeling she is being harassed then she should have taken care of that issue and let KSI Carpet know sooner. He also warns KSI Sea that if she loses her temper again in the party that he will rank suspend her himself. KSI Sea is upset because she does not feel like the situation is being handled fairly since KSI Squid called her some profane words and that KSI Squid should also get punished. KSI Carpet is not happy that KSI Sea is questioning her, but before he can say anything KSI Squid states that she doesn't care what happens that she doesn't have any regrets for any names/profane language that she called KSI Sea.
How could this issue have been avoided? Who is at fault for the problems that occurred? What action should be taken? KSI Overdramatic , the general of Stature , and KSI Aphrodite, a captain in the squad, are discussing how they can improve morale in their squad. KSI Aphrodite has several ideas that KSI Overdramatic likes. KSI Overdramatic implements one of the ideas, letting members have a choice in the gamenight following the squad meeting. Everyone loves the idea and praises KSI Overdramatic for coming up with such an awesome idea. KSI Overdramatic thanks the members and continues on with the meeting and then a popular gamenight. KSI Aphrodite is upset because KSI Overdramatic did not give her credit for her idea. After expressing her grievance, KSI Overdramatic apologizes and then informs the squad that the idea belonged to KSI Aphrodite. She thanks KSI Overdramatic for acknowledging that it was her idea.
How could this issue have gotten worse? Did KSI Overdramatic have to give public credit to KSI Aphrodite? If KSI Overdramatic did not give KSI Aphrodite credit, then could she have complained up the chain of command? What good leader qualities were represented in this scenario?
⤙ Post-Workshop (Conversation Starters and Discussion Topics)
The following questions can be used to conclude your workshop. You do not have to ask every question. Pick the ones that you believe will have the most impact and benefit for your workshop group.
What are the initial topics that stood out to you while going through the workshop? Was there anything that surprised you, or that you didn't agree with? What is at least one thing you can take from this workshop to improve your overall leadership? Which of the "7 Core Principles of an Effective Leader" stick out to you as most important, considering your own leadership style? Which of the three areas of "CAP" do you believe you are strongest in? Weakest? Where do you see yourself in a year's time? Has it changed since the last time you took a workshop?

"Rank Structure, Chain of Command, and Open Door Policy"
Workshop Introduction: The purpose of this workshop is for members to learn the rank structure and the proper use of the Chain of Command. Throughout members’ careers within KSI issues will always arise. The members will need to know who they can contact and in what order to help solve any problems they might have along the way.
Workshop Occurrence: This workshop will be offered at the discretion of Divisional Leadership and Squad Leadership: LT and higher.

    ⤙ Pre-Workshop (Conversation Starters & Discussion Topics)
The following questions may be used as conversation starters before beginning your workshop. It's important to make sure you begin by getting everyone thinking about the topic at hand.
If you have a problem with a member who should you contact? Why do we have officers in KSI? What responsibilities do officers within KSI have?
⤙ Workshop Core (Workshop Topics, Progression, and Key Points)
Workshop Curriculum Introduction: Throughout this workshop members will learn the purpose of the rank structure for Clan Ops, Department Ops, and Web Ops. They will also learn about how a member can become capped out and how  to properly use the chain of command.

    ◅ 1. Clan Ops Structure
    Squad Membership
    Recruit (RCT)
Trial period in KSI that lasts for 24 to 48 hours (depending on your division’s rules). The trial period may be longer if the recruit is hard to get a hold of for their PVT promotion or the recruit hits pending. If the recruit has not been promoted to PVT within a week (can’t get with for promotion or have not fixed what is necessary for the recruit  to go from pending to accepted), then they should be taken off the promotion list due to inactivity. They can be re-recruited with no penalty (since they have not officially joined KSI) at a later date once they are more active.
Note: Some divisions allow recruits to sit on the promotions list for up to 14 days

    Private (PVT)
After 24 to 48 hours after recruitment and accepted by the divisional staff (cannot be pending) the member can be promoted to PVT. Private is the first official rank in KSI. Since they are official members they will do a few things to make sure they have access to all resources to meet, talk, and play with members. PVTs will join the Squad Club, Discord Server, and create a forums account if one wasn’t created upon recruitment.

    Corporal (CPL)
This promotion takes place 7 days after PVT promotion and is the highest rank a member can obtain WITHOUT changing their gamer tag.

    Sergeant (SGT)
Any time a member changes their gamer tag they will automatically be eligible to be promoted to SGT, but they must have their PVT promotion completed first.
4 Benefits of Changing gamer tag to Reflect KSI and becoming a SGT:
Promotion- Get promotion to SGT and represents KSI Recruiting – SGTs can learn to recruit and, once cleared to recruit, can recruit on their own. Recruiting is NOT REQUIRED but it is available if members want to learn. Co-Host Game Nights Officer - SGT are able to be promoted to an officer, if a position is available  and they earned the promotion in the eyes of their General. Optional Discussion Topic:
Why do members have to be promoted to PVT before SGT?
    Squad Leadership
Squad Leadership is responsible for making sure the squads stay active within the community and handling any squad level incidents. Squad leadership is made up of the following ranks:
Note: The Chain of Command starts with Squad Leadership. If members have any problems, questions, or concerns, they can go to an officer within the squad to receive help. Please know that we ask all members to follow the Chain of Command when possible. This allows lower ranking officers to get experience assisting members and resolving conflicts. It also allows officers to get to know and relate to their members, which strengthens the family aspect of KSI. Problems that can be dealt by the SSGTs, LTs, and CPTs prevents the General of the squad from being overloaded and getting burned out.
    Staff Sergeant (SSGT)
Staff Sergeant is the first rank among the Chain of Command and is a trial period that allows them to learn and master the responsibilities of being an officer. SSGTs are responsible for becoming proficient in the recruitment process, the promotion process up to SGT, hosting game nights, and hosting training workshops.
Eligibility: This position is given to those Sergeants who may become eligible for a promotion after two weeks of training and experience in KSI.
Note: An officer gains additional responsibilities with every promotion after SSGT.  It's not a trade off when getting a promotion. They must fulfill the responsibilities of their current rank as well as the prior ranks.

    Lieutenant (LT)
Lieutenant is the rank where members start to get a taste of leadership amongst lower squad members. LTs learn to mentor SGTs in recruiting and SSGTs on officer duties. They are also expected to be proficient and successful at recruiting, promoting, and hosting events.
Eligibility: This position is given to SSGTs who may become eligible for a promotion after being in the SSGT rank for two weeks and work has been proven to be promoted.

    Captain (CPT)
Captains are the right hand of the General. They help the general come up with squad goals and help keep the squad running smoothly. They know the ins and outs of the squad just as well as the General. Captains mentor and help delegate duties to the lower ranking officers as well as manage the promotions list for other officers. They are the next in line to be the General, so they also begin to learn the foundations about squad management and leadership. Captains also learn to host squad meetings and are encouraged to attend Generals meetings.
Eligibility: This position is given to LTs who may become eligible for a promotion after being in Lieutenant rank for two weeks and work has been proven to be promoted.

    General (GEN)
Generals are the highest rank in squad leadership. Their job is to manage and lead the squad (toward an eventual split). They promote RCTs to CPTs (CoFo approval needed on CPT) as well as hold officers accountable with rank suspensions and demotions.  They mentor their Captains (to one day replace them), Lieutenants, Staff Sergeants, and  Potential Officers. Where the LTs and CPTs lack, the General keeps afloat. They manage the Squad Tag/ Club as well as Omega. They are responsible for removing inactive members. They also implement and enforce policies carried down from the Divisional 7s Staff.
Eligibility: Must have four weeks of experience as a Captain and have proven that member is well known in the squad and has been a consistent officer in Officer ranks.

    Divisional Leadership
Any KSI member with 7 or 77 at the end of a name means that a person either currently holds a position of Co-Founder or above, or that a member has held that position in the past. They never lose that 7 (KSI tradition). Divisional Leadership is responsible for making sure the division is running smoothly and successfully. They oversee the squads and make tough decisions that determine the future of the division.
    Co-Founder (CoFo)
Cofounder is the first rank in the 7s staff and the divisional leadership in the division. Their main duty is to advise the Generals of the squad they are assigned to on their plans and strategies. Co-Founders can be assigned up to two squads (more depending on the leader/squad ratio). Generals don’t have to take the advice of the Co-Founder, but they still try to lead them toward the right path. In addition to advising they help push divisional procedures and changes that might have affected recruiting, activity, etc. They also handle the final security checks for all new recruits that go through the recruit club accepting new recruits.
Eligibility: Successful fulfillment of the General position for at least one month. They must prove to have performed exceptional work as general, have growth in their squads, and the squad no long requires their presence in order to succeed.

    Division Leader (DL)
Division Leaders are in charge of and managing the division they are over. They mentor not only the Co-founders but the entire division as well. They handle everything logistically on a divisional level. Most importantly, they ensure that the division is continuing to grow and sustain momentum in activity.
Eligibility: Successful fulfillment of the Co-Founder rank for at least one month, maintaining a division by ensuring positive growth in numbers and member retention. Appointed for promotion by a Director and approved by a Senior Director.

    Community Leadership
    Director (DIR)
Oversees divisions, ensuring their growth and handling community level topics, and advises Division Leaders when needed.
Eligibility: This position is given to those Division Leaders who may become eligible for a promotion after one month as Division Leader, as well as at least 32 weeks of training and experience in KSI.

    Senior Director (SDIR)
Oversees divisions, advises directors, and represents Clan Ops at board meetings.
Eligibility: Successful performance and achievement as a Director for at least three month’s time. They should be appointed for promotion by a Senior Leader or Board Member.

    Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is made up of board members that have earned their way to the board through all operations (Clan Ops, Department Ops, Web Ops, and Education/Info/LC) within KSI. They make decisions for all departments within KSI on a community wide basis. Each board member focuses on a different aspect in the community. The Clan Ops Board of Directors positions are:

◅ 5. KSI Open Door Policy
The KSI Open Door Policy allows members to speak with Senior Community Leaders regarding a wide range of issues, ideas, or concerns they might have with the community or its members. We believe that in keeping with KSI's philosophy of open communications all gamers, affiliates, and members have the right and are encouraged to speak freely with leadership about their game-related concerns. Nevertheless, members are encouraged to speak directly to the leaders in their chain of command when possible. One of the most important relationships gamers will develop in KSI is the relationship between themselves and their leaders. Should members need support from someone other than their Divisional Leaders, the Directors and Board of Directors are committed to resolving any issues, listening to ideas, or answering questions that may arise. Topics may be addressed via the Open Door Policy include, but are not limited to:
Harassment Discrimination  Community Questions & Concerns  Innovative Ideas Recommendations *OPEN DOOR POLICY MAY BE REVISED AT ANY TIME AND WILL BE UPDATED ACCORDINGLY
    Optional Discussion Topic:
Why do you think it is important to follow the Chain of Command? When should you skip over ranks and go straight to a higher ranking officer?

Reasoning why they deserve this - This dude is unbreakable! I cannot think of anyone more deserving of this award for March. Dude dealt with DM closing while still being an acting director, acting Div Leader, and an active Co-Founder in CS. He has had to handle more drama and bull Poop than anyone else because of his rank in the community, and he does so while smiling and laughing. He is always playing with members regardless of rank. He probably hangs out with at least 50 members a day. He is always party hopping and getting to know the members. The only time he is not party hopping is when he is in a meeting, and odds are he is in a meeting on discord and still in a party with members on xbox. It doesn't matter if he is watching tv or youtube he will still get on to talk to the members that want/need to talk to him. Dude is amazing and sets a solid foundation of what leadership is in this community.

    Gamertag (Rank - Division/Squad) - KSI Harley 7
Link to forums account - @KSI HARLEY 7
Reasoning why they deserve this - Harley is a fantastic leader. She has worked extremely hard to get WD back as strong as ever. Anarchy was able to split under her leadership and she has brought up two amazing co-founders and two generals. This month was a milestone and finally proved that WD is finally on the right track after all the crap that happened back in August of last year. She is always available for her members, and she is always hearing them out to make changes to benefit the squads and the division as a whole. She cares about her members and is always trying to teach them the proper foundation as well as continuously learning to make sure that she can provide the best experience for her members.
    Co-Founder
    Gamertag (Rank - Division/Squad) - KSI Uppish 7

Reasoning why they deserve this - He has made huge improvements as a Co-Founder in this last month. He has always done a great job at making sure things are going great in Rebellion. He is has consistently shown that he is starting to have a divisional level thinking and has opened his mindset. He is willing to learn and spread the knowledge to the members. He is now starting to be open to change, even if he might not agree with it. He has done a great job overseeing CS and now has the responsibility of not only guiding Rebellion but also Wrath. He is doing a fantastic job as a leader and he is doing a great job at holding his squads accountable and mentoring the officers within the squads all while doing a fantastic job at member retention.
    General

Reasoning why the deserve this - Fenny is an amazing general. She has taken Doom and literally transformed it. She had to basically fire her entire officer  staff and by the beginning of this month it was barebones. 2 captains (one on military LOA) 1 LT (who was demoted), and 2 SSGT  (both left the community). She now has 2 CPTs (one still on military LOA), 3 LTs, and 4 SSGTs with about 7 potential officers. She is always working her ass off when it comes to getting things done in her squad. Even if she is not online, she is constantly communicating on discord. She sets goals for officers that she wishes for them to achieve. She is an amazing trainer and has trained up a fantastic officer corps that seems unstoppable. The squad has also grown about 20 members since the start of this month. She has given the squad a direction of growth and has raised the spirits and morale of all members within her squad. She has made moves that have completely transformed this squad and has strengthened the squad/division as a whole because of her decisions. She is never afraid to ask for advice and considers all of her officers opinions before making a decision; this characteristic of hers has strengthened the officer corps because the officers feel valued and feel like they are able to help make decisions. All of the members know and respect her. She is an absolutely amazing general that has got her squad in the right direction, which if things continue the way they are she will lead the squad to a split within no time (if this where to happen it would be the 2nd split to happen since I split Imperial on 12/10/2019).
    Captain
    Gamertag (Rank - Division/Squad) - KSI iChief

Reasoning why they deserve this - Chief is an amazing captain. He is always thinking ahead. He has plans for the squad and has no problem sharing his opinions to help the squad move forward. He does a fantastic job at member retention, and he is an excellent squad meeting host. He does not ever lose his composure, which is what is expected of people in the CPT rank. He is always in parties with members, hosting game nights/workshops/meetings, and making sure that the behind the scenes stuff is getting done.
    LT
    Gamertag (Rank - Division/Squad) - KSI Sinon
Link to forums account - @KSI Dilf
Reasoning why they deserve this - KSI Sinon is no doubt a leading force in Doom. He hosts several game nights/workshops every week so that all members are able to learn and have a great experience within the community. KSI Sinon is leading the CS recruiting challenge with 7 recruits (3 as a LT), he has trained quite a few potential officers that have become an officer, and now a few that are looking to move up. He honestly rivals me when it comes to getting stuff done. He is the first one to jump on a promotion. I have stated multiple times "Oh I need to get this done right quick", and he leaves the party and gets it done before I have a chance to finish what I'm doing and take care of what needed to be done. Dude is a legit powerhouse that everyone in Doom seems to know and respect. I know he will do great things in this community, but he is 2nd to none at the LT rank.
    SSGT
    Gamertag (Rank - Division/Squad) - KSI Bane 7
    Link to forums account - @Bane 7
Reasoning why they deserve this - Bane made me put my foot in my mouth. When he first came over to Doom he said he wanted to move back up into the officer corps. I told quite a few people it's one thing to say it, then it's another to prove yourself and do it. I had my doubts that he was actually going to put in the efforts for his promotion, and I am glad he proved me wrong. Bane has recruited, promoted, trained, hosted game nights, hosted workshops, and party hopped like no one else in Doom as a SSGT. Bane is a well known face throughout the squad, and everyone seems to get along with him. He mastered the SSGT rank and has now been promoted to LT because all of his hard work.
    SGT
    Gamertag (Rank - Division/Squad) -
Link to forums account - @KSI Ish
Reasoning why they deserve this - KSI Ish was an amazing SGT. He is now a SSGT. He attended every workshop about three times while he was a SGT, and he was recruiting at all times. If he wasn't recruiting he was being trained or hanging with members, which is exactly what you want to see in a SGT. His willingness to learn, his activity, and his ambition to make the squad better is why he deserves this award.
    Forum Staff (ADMIN/MODS/DEPARTMENT HEADS)
    Gamertag (Rank - Division/Squad) - KSI DropShot 7
Link to forums account - @Mr. DropShot
Reasoning why they deserve this -Dude does not do a single thing without weeks of preparation. Some may say T&E just hosts an event and scheduling is easy; however, that is not true at all. Drop literally plans as much as possible to make sure that everything goes off without a hitch. He also takes members opinions into consideration when it comes to game types, so all members can be happy, which boosts attendance at the events. Also the Spring Break was amazingly ran and that is because his dedication to the community is unmatched.

    Gamertag (Rank - Division/Squad) - KSI Tinc

Reasoning why they deserve this -  KSI Tinc is a powerhouse in the AAP department. Dude is on top of everything. Whether it is verifying topics or speaking his mind he definitely takes the lead in most things. It is awesome to see what he has done in this department.

Reasoning why they deserve this - He has only been in KSI for a few weeks but this guy is legit. He got put on the EK team and party hops like no ones business. He is one of the strongest CPLs in the community he jumps in my party and other leaders' parties just to hang out, which is what this community was designed for in the first place.
