It’s been the holiday we’ve always celebrated even if we had little to no money, somehow my parents always made it work. They’d always make sure there were things for the kids to mess with as well as bigger things for the adults. It showed me at a very young age that money doesn’t equate to happiness. Literally. Mans spent about an hour on the phone with me trying to fix my internet so I could properly connect and actually play games. He figured out what my ISP couldn’t lol, and that’s only 1 thing he’s done for me this month. Honestly I’ve lost count, but some of the ones I’d like to recognize are the times when he stepped in if I needed this month. Shatner has been there for me for anything I needed, if I wanted to take a day off he had me. If it was an hour, day or week it didn’t matter. He has helped me realize it’s fine to ask for help, cause sometimes we all need it. Shatner embodies the KSI meaning and shows his passion for the community in everything he does daily, not only has he done things for my squad but every squad in this division. But you know what he’s great at ? Being a leader in the community. Stack works a 3rd shift schedule and still somehow finds a way to do KSI. He doesn’t change the time he’s hosts his gamenights to fit his schedule and doesn’t let real life and his work schedule get in the way. I’ve learned a lot from Stack but the one that will stick with me is it’s okay to take a day to yourself. I remember I was stressing out about something earlier in the day and he shot me a message checking in on me and just telling me to give myself a day off. It showed that he cares about the people around him, and honestly I’m thankful for that day and the friendship I’ve built with him. Appreciate you brotha. P.S. He’s been here to talk through situations or even just bs for a little bit. He works an insane amount and still finds time to spend with his CS family somehow, he’s always party hopping and checking up on his members. The relationships that Uppish has with his members is unmatchable, wether they’re new or old he has that personality that makes people feel like they’ve known him for years. He’s normally somewhere crushing other countries in Civ, but it’s always a good time to sit around and listen. Keep being you homie, wouldn’t change ya for the world! He helped me develop good and beneficial habits before moving up. He checks in on my everyday making sure everything going good in the squad or just to chat and see if I’m doing all right. He’s been there since the beginning and i know I can always count on him. He taught me how to handle join apps, clubs, discord you name it. He even had me follow topics on the forums to make it easier on me for when I moved up. He’s extremely active with our officercore and squad and is always there if someone needs him. He’s also extremely fast at clearly recruits, like stupid fast. I’m sure any of the CS officers can speak on that. They know they never have to wait if Shatner’s there. Shatner has came in and helped me change and fix a lot of the issues going on, we had a really big fluff and he was there to support us the whole way through. He’s picked up gamenights, helped train me for the General role and taught me so much more. He’s been a key factor in fixing and revamping the current issues going on and with out him im not sure I’d be doing so hot. He’s one you can always count on and trust in his ability to complete goals or tasks. Hes quick to get them done. Shatner is a very busy man but somehow finds time to spend with his friends and family. There isn’t a reason why he doesn’t deserve this award. Wether it was to talk about ongoing issues in clan ops or even if I had questions for dept ops, he is a well of knowledge and is open to teaching anyone. One of the best Mentors in CS.
