Welcome to the Productions Department!!!

 

As a member of this department, you will contribute to creating amazing content that will be utilized across multiple social platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, Facebook and Twitter under the KSI Global banner. As a new member, it can be tricky on what exactly the job details as well as posting on the Calendar and setting up your streams for KSILive/KSILive2.

 

Requirement of Staff Members each month:

• Minimum of 2 Streams per month
• Posting all streams on the Calendar (at least 48 hours prior to your stream)
• Active in the Discord department chat
• Voting on Top 3 montages for the Upload Studio Montage Competition

 

Roles and Assignments 

• Streamer – ensuring they are meeting their monthly streaming quota as well as streaming all weekend warfare and KSI events as possible. (*Some games do not allow a spectator mode*)
• Editors – Editing videos, Completing Requests for both KSI (*Departments or Events*)

 

How to schedule a stream on the KSI Calendar 

1. Go to the Calendar - http://www.ksiforums.org/calendar/
2. Click on the blue Create Event button 
3. Select Productions/KSILive from the drop down menu. Press continue. 
4. Select the date and time of the stream using your current time. 
5. Enter a Title and Description
6. Click the Submit and event button at the bottom of the page. 

Please Note - If you are streaming in the middle of the night, communicate this and get activated earlier.

 

How to stream via Xbox

1. Download or Startup the Twitch Application on your Xbox console.
2. Be ensure you are not logged in to a personal account, and if you are please log out.
3. On the main page of the Twitch application, hit the BROADCAST button.
4. A 6 character code will appear. Post the code in the Productions chat on discord and inform both Head and Co-Head that you are ready to get activated. The Head or Co-Head will reply when they've activated you. 
5. Set the Title of your stream
6. You can then hit Start Broadcast and wait until you see a blue bar appear on the bottom middle of your screen. (*If at any time that bar disappears, there is a good chance your stream has disconnected and must restart the stream*)
7. If you want to adjust some settings, you can include/exclude both your personal audio or your party’s audio.
8. Please remember that while you are streaming you are responsible for upholding the KSI Code of Conduct always!

 

How to stream via Capture Card

1. First contact the Dept. Head/ Co-Head for the KSILIVE stream key
2. You then start up your streaming application such as OBS, Stream labs, etc.
3. Then you go to the settings and paste the stream key in its correct area (Please see YouTube on where to put the stream key).
4. For ALL STREAMS, you may have to ask the Dept. Head/Co-Head to set your title or game your on to the twitch channel before streaming.
5. Please remember that while you are streaming you are responsible for upholding the KSI Code of Conduct always!
