Marathon Gamers Summer Marathon of Awesome!

The Marathon Gamers is a group of friends who raise money for charities by playing video games for long periods of time, while playing they stream on their website the game and a webcam the entire length of the marathon. Over the past four years they have raised $5,000 for the many charities and are continuing their support for the American Cancer Society. Starting on June 29th, they will be hosting their first Summer Marathon in which they will be raising money for the American Cancer Society once again. All money donated will go directly to the American Cancer Society in honor of the creator of the Marathon Gamers' grandfather, Robert Hickman, who was diagnosed and is still battling with stage 4 Adenocarcinoma, an advancing form of lung cancer. The event will be hosted on the Marathon Gamers website at www.marathongamers.org.

Donors who watch the live stream will be able to put up challenges for the gamers to complete as a way to get more out for their donation. Most challenges can be emailed to challenge@marathongamers.org prior to donating to make sure that it is something that can be done.

During this event, Ace will be streaming for 24 hours straight, playing almost any game that people would want him to play, HE WILL BE TAKING REQUESTS. Have some extra coin and want to donate and request Ace game with you? Go ahead! He will be happy to play along, it's all for a good cause! After those 24 hours, other members of the Marathon Gamers group will be streaming some StarCraft 2 and Modern Warfare 2 (Their games of choice), we are hoping to be able to have a constant stream of awesome for 48 hours, if not longer!
