The Upside of The Coronavirus: 

Most of the world is under quarantine, which means activity on xbox will probably never be higher until this Christmas break. Use this time wisely to repair any holes in your squad. SSG’s and up should see this as a golden opportunity to knock out the obstacles holding our squads back from prosperous growth. At the same time, we encourage everyone to take the time needed to maintain your financial status, residence, etc.

Throughout our members time in KSI, our members will express anger and frustration. We are all human beings and we are all subject to it. But, when we experience any form of anger and frustration and cannot express it in a healthy outlet, please do yourself a favor and get off Xbox and take some time for yourself. No one wants to be yelled at or experience any kind of misconduct. Lead by example and not by your current attitude. 

 

Don't Make People Uncomfortable:

Reminder no means no. When expressing interest in someone and they say no then don't push it. They are not playing hard to get, they just are not interested in said advancements so don't push it, just move on and not become that creepy person nobody likes hanging out with creepy people.

 

New Potential Game Types:

Sometimes we hit a period where our squad's game type isn't working as well as it used to. If you happen to look for a new game to help bolster your squad here are some recommendations for what to look at in terms of choosing a new game: 

 

High Activity/ High amount of Looking for groups (New and/or POPULAR GAME)

Reliable and loyal fanbase (like Call of Duty & Halo)

Possible custom games/lobbies (for game nights)

High Replayability or frequent updates (like battle passes, etc)

Games with similar themes (Pubg to Apex/Fortnite, etc)

New DLC in a game (like Destiny 2, GTA 5)

 

Lastly, you need to ensure you have officers and members that own and play the game consistently. In the event of adding a new game to your squads repertoire , you need to frequently grow off of the game and incorporate it into your event schedule as another game night source.

 

Keeping Omega Updated:

As members or officers leave the community please be sure to remove them from the Omega and squad tags/clubs. Keeping our divisions numbers updated makes everyone's work easier. So making sure people are removed, ranks updated, and name changes are updating. 

Good Sportsmanship: 

With the Spring Break event fast approaching we ALL need to remember a few things. 

Treating other members and players with respect.  

If you have an issue calmly take it to proper people and handle it like adults. Also once an issue has been resolved and all parties agree to it,  that’s the end of it!!

Have fun and enjoy the event. 

And as always the Code of Conduct does apply!!

But remember at the end of the day this event and all events are meant to bring our community together. They are to be fun and exciting and meet new people. So have fun and enjoy the event. 

Don't Give Up:

In KSI and in real life we all have our ups and downs but it's important not to give up. Remember to ask for help when needed there is no shame in asking for help. Sometimes it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel but it does get better, we just have to wait it out. The important thing is to not get overwhelmed to the point of wanting to leave KSI.

 

Department Notes

T&E:

There will be no weekend warfare this Saturday, March 21st. Donor's Hangout will take place of it and be streamed on KSI Live. If you are a donor feel free to check the VIP Section of the forums for info and signups!

Spring Break is NEXT WEEKEND. Signups will close 2 hours before the events start. Remember that Captain's Meetings will be held on discord, so leaders please let your selected team captain's know to be on the lookout for a discord friend request from KSI DropShot 7 (DropShot 7#8689) that will be sent sometime next week.

 

Productions:

The March Clip Submission is open through the 25th. All clips will be used in the March Clip Compilation if we are able to access them! Please double check that your links work at the end of the month. If we can't access your clip once the topic closes we will be unable to use your clip in the compilation.

The Upload Studio Montage Competition is also open through the 25th. At the end of the month, Productions Staff will vote for their top 3 montages. The top 3 montages will be featured on YouTube. First place will receive a new award on the forums called Montage Master.

March SYTYCW Competition is open until 5pm EST on 3/13. This month's prompt is regarding your ideal Speing Break Vacation. Winners of the SYTYCW competition are eligible for the Write Right award, and it's other tiers at 3 wins and 5 wins respectively.
