I have a proposal- (Version with graphics attached)

Purpose:

·         Create an agile, effective fire team program of game specialists to dominate Clan Wars Events.

·         Gain traction in overall Clan participation in Clan Wars Events.

·         Increase Kraken reputation within FG, KSI, and the Ghosts community.

·         Increase of satisfaction from the game experience for Kraken members.

·         Maintain SGT retention and expand responsibilities of SGT/SSGT ranks. Prepares NCO’s for command positions.

 Current Challenges/Game Climate:

Currently Krakens performance in clan wars has been exemplary thus facilitating the move from the Silver Tier to the more competitive Platinum League. While success in the Clan Wars has been above average, Kraken is still not the number one ranked Clan in Clan Wars. Some of the challenges Kraken has faced have been:

·         Poor participation/turn out.

·         Reactive strategy reliant on the COD APP as a determining factor in what group plays where.

·         Lack of solidly effect groups due to influx in game preferences, lack of specialized load-outs and skillsets not optimized.

·         Lack of “on the ground†structure- I.E. not always a game plan coming into a match. Orders are not ignored, but rarely given.

Solution:

The formation of specialized, four player fire teams headed up by a SGT, SSGT or Lt. The NCO/JO would be responsible for inter-division recruiting, on the ground tactics, and overall platoon preparedness (scheduling training times and Clan War Operations) as well as their normal duties within Kraken.

Each team would specialize in one to three game types but each type would remain either Core or Hardcore. This will optimize player preference and performance allowing for each platoon to excel without having to carry the weight of a member who has more or less been conscripted to fill a spot. This also means that for a predetermined period of time, Kraken members will play with members they normally might not have an opportunity to game with- thus increasing overall team unity.

I propose the following command structure in relation to the Fire Team Project-

I propose the following command structure in relation to the Fire Team Project-

Gen-1

Capt- 3

SGT/SSGT/Lt- 12

SGT/CPL/PVT- 36

Total of 53 participates.

Obviously, it is doubtful that the program would outgrow this structure any time soon, however, having a "popping point where the program could split is desirable.

 Four Player Fire Teams-

Four player fire teams are essential for success. The reason for four and not five or six member teams might not seem obvious, but will become clear shortly. The two prevalent edicts of Kraken, in deed of KSI in general is the push to recruit and the desire to excel. A four player fire team does this. It allows one spot for a guest/prospect players and another spot for an officer to audit, train, or work with the fire team as they participate in missions. The five and six spot can be occupied by other Kraken members but should (out of courtesy) be vacated should a prospect present themselves or an officer be present.

Area of Operations

The areas of operations (AO’s) will be predetermined based on sign ups. While many tactics work well in different game types, the main differentiating factor shall be Core to Hardcore. I.E. a fire team specializing in Hardcore Team Death Match (HC RIC TDM) can participate in Hardcore Kill Confirmed (HC RIC KC) but cannot just cross field to any Core game without the approval of a captain or higher.

Fire team nights and times shall be submitted to the group captain no later than three days before operations are to begin. This gives the officers time to adjust their own schedule to allow their participation in operations. Additionally, this allows for the fire team members to confirm or opt out as needed. Thus the fire team lead will have an opportunity to fill vacant slots in coordination with the group Captain.

While fire team operations will not be compulsory for the lower ranks, consistency would be its own reward. Those who continuously miss (no shows) operations might well find themselves no longer a part of the fire team. Final decision on release of fire team members would be dependent on the group Captain with the Fire Team Lead’s recommendation.

These are some general thoughts I’ve had given my limited time in Kraken. The whole Fire Team Program would be voluntary of course. The main thing would be I, as a member could participate in such a way that I could contribute to a team (thus Kraken) more consistently than I have been able to do thus far.

Very good proposal pbutta. Yeah I know its hard to find possible recruits when we're runnin full teams. I think a team of 4 would be perfect. Nice to see you on the forums now and happy to have someone with the passion for the community as you do here in Kraken with us.
