We are very happy to announce the return of weekly update starting Friday March 18th at 7 pm eastern on twitch.tv/ksilive. We ask that all divisions please include in there stats a couple shout outs weekly so that we can spotlight some memebers in our shoutout portion. Each week we will briefly go over important notes from the community have a round table discussion on important events in ksi and we also would love to have some interaction with our memebers via the chat box on twitch so please get the word out and let's make this reboot an amazing one!

Productions is happily seeking out new memebers for our team. T&E
Send congratulations to KSI Bandit 777 as the new Co-Head of T&E and KSI Mighty 7 as a new senior staff

Pay attention to time requirements for ranks. The requirements aren't totally set in stone, there's a little wiggle room.

Make sure to give people 48 hours to come back after they've left. They can come back within that time period, and we don't want to have to push a newly promoted person to the side, rearrange things, etc, if it's not needed.

DNH and Blacklist are not interchangable terms, they are seperate disciplinary tools used by KSI Leadership, and need to be addressed as such.

DNH (Do Not Hire) is a person who has been removed from KSI for violating CoC and is not allowed to return, but KSI members are allowed to talk to these people.

Blacklisting is a person who has been removed from KSI for violating CoC, they are not allowed to return, but all KSI member are also forbidden to speak with this individuals to avoid drama/for security reasons, or both.
The only way to get a blacklist or a DNH repealed is by an appeal through the KSI Courts.

 

Try to get PVT's promoted to corporal asap, either via meetings or after a week since orientation, PVT's that remain on the g14 for too long should be removed as fluff

 

We are pleased to officially announce that Forced Induction (FI) has undergone a division split, creating Toxic Illusion (TI) four squads went over to this new division, they are now known as Xenon, Krypton, Lithium and Cyanide.

security risks

Only repeat Security Risk messages if they are applicable to your div. If someone is sec risked in DL, for instance, it only applies in that div. If you're not from the div within which the sec risk happened, don't repeat the message. If you are in fact within the division where the sec risk happened, then it's a mandatory repeat.

Kik chats should only be used as a tool. There is no need for using kik chats for KSI other than for officer/division leader chats. It should only be used as a point of reference and checking to make sure people can get online, setting a time to chat, posting relevant information/notes, or announcements. If someone breaks CoC, they are still breaking CoC, there are no "international waters" in KSI where the rules don't apply Lol.

 

Huge shoutout

Let's all give ourself a huge pat on the back for nearly reaching out goal of 4000 members! We are currently at 3959 members which is only 41 away from our goal! Everyone has been doing a phenomenal job so keep up the amazing work everyone and remember to keep having fun! 

 

Positivity

Let's all try to get into the habit of sending out more positive messages especially when we have to send out negative messages about security risks or blacklists. If everyone sent out one positive message a week the demeanor in the squads could completely turn around so let's spread the love!

We really need to focus on getting these privates promoted up to cpl or fluffed out . If you have a pvt that will not respond to you they need to be removed . We want true numbers not fake numbers with people just sitting on tags not being active.

SECURITY THREATS

We need to make sure all of our members know the security risked and blacklisted communities . It is especially important that anyone who has the ability to recruit understands who's not to recruit.

LEADERS LIST

There has been a new leaders topic created because the other was getting cluttered . We would like to ask that every divisions highest rank to please go post up an up to date list with links to every 7 in there division so we can insure that all our 7's have proper leadership access .PLEASE CAN YOU GET IT DONE ASAP.

RECRUIT TAG

Make sure that everyone is using the recruit tag properly . According to our SOP a recruit needs to be on it for 48 hours before they are eligible to be trained off . This is mandatory for all divisions .

4000

We finally hit 4000 members . That's a huge accomplishment that deserves recognition .Everyone as been doing a amazing job. So now let's reach a new goal and shoot for 4500 members .Please remember that pulling in new recruits is amazing but we need to focus on retention  and keeping these members active and involved with there squads .

Join Area – Please do not post on an application, trying to claim them for your division, until the join app is completely filled out. This will give the applicant the opportunity to specify their preferred division.

 

License Transfers – Remember it is against our Code of Conduct to license transfer with anyone. Please do not ask others to license transfer or offer your own content to be licensed transferred. Any members caught doing this will have to talk to the seniors about it.

Productions Team – Productions is looking for divisions to post in the productions section under the topic “Game Night Requests” to get the staff out there to spotlight divisions for their game nights and special events. All divisions are encouraged to sign up, but please give at least one week notice so the staff members can plan accordingly.

Marketing Team – Applications for the marketing team are open, you can find the application on the forums.

 

Meetings – Remember meetings are mandatory for all divisions!!! Division Leaders should be holding the Generals/Officers meeting every week and ensure it is held at a consistent time and day from week to week.  Generals should be holding both a SGT meeting (Recruiting Workshop) and a Squad meeting each week. Make sure messages are being sent out to the squad to remind them of meetings and improve participation.

Spirit Week is getting closer and closer, make sure all divisions have their teams set up and ready to apply, time is running short.

Working with others

We need to make sure we are working together with others, we may not like everyone in the community, we still need to work together professionally, if you have an issue with someone, try to get a higher ranking member to mediate.

Marketing

The Marketing team has it’s own section on the forums, please go there to post screenshots of Match Scores, final killcams and final scores, use this to spotlight yourself and your squad members, even if you just wish to show off a full public lobby of KSI members, these will also be posted to Insta

Respect.

There has been a lot of disrespect going around, specially when talking about leaders. May not always like what a leader has to say or do, but there is a proper way to go about confronting said leaders about this, continued disrespect will result in further action being taken.

Security risks

Ensure to let people know the differences between blacklists and security risks, and inform people about those blacklisted to ensure that recruiters know who not to be in parties or be friends with to prevent issues arising in the future. Such as division poaching.

Rec Tag.

Make sure everyone is using the recruit tag properly, recruits are required to remain on the tag for 48 hours MINIMUM, all divisions are subject to this.

Forums activity.

All active members MUST have an active forums account, new recruits should be sent to the forums to create an account, we are NOT a Kik community, new recruits should not be sent to Kik chats, only Gens and 7’s should be within a Kik chat for official KSI business.

IA Update:

Internal Affairs have appointed their staff members to new divisions, the current IA liason for TI is KSI Ascend 7

WI Submission:

Don’t just send people you either wish to kick out, or not deal with to WI, ask yourself if this person can be retrained, if the answer is no, simply remove said member.

It’s coming up, hurry with your teams guys, ensure backups are prepared in the event that your main players can’t make it, plenty of prizes are up for grabs, times and games are yet to be finalized, but you will be informed in time, towards the End of june/beginning of July is the estimate, however.

PLease make sure you are building officer staff with squad growth, last thing we want is to hit 80+ members and then rush to get officers before a split, try to make sure you have a contingency in place for future officers ahead of time.

Everybody please make sure you read through and familiarize yourself with the SOP, if you have not, a lot of all available information can be found at ksiglobal.org or in the Clan Ops section.

 

Fluff.

 

Please make sure you’re keeping up with fluff removal, privates from January should either be fluffed or promoted within a meeting or game night, golden rule is 2 weeks before removal as fludd if still a private.

 

Shoutouts.

 

Make sure we recognize people for things they are doing, never know when people are having a bad day, sometimes it helps for them to see a shoutout.

Please let your dir know if you’re a general or above if you’re taking an LoA, so that you don’t lose G14 access, Cofo and above, make sure to post in the Leaders section.

 

Squad notes

 

These should be getting posted weekly, they are MANDATORY, a list of everything covered, including promotions and attendance, and anything else a gen feels is important. if a general is not hosting meetings, then strikes and RS need to be handed out.

Spirit Week.

 

Spirit week is coming fast, so make sure your getting your teams ready, games you should be planning for should be Halo and Call of Duty, so get your potential teams working on those games. Note, activities and events are NOT just gameplay, make sure to spread the word.

 

Donations.

 

We are looking for donations to ensure that everything that needs paying for is payed for, any members willing to donate be sure to check out the donation drive on the forums, any that donate $100+ can have their own custom member group on the forums with their own member icon alongside it.

 

Productions in gamenights.

 

Productons staff wish to get into divisional gamenights, with a little planning time in order to livestream the even on the forums, impromptu game nights may not be included due to inability to get staff together.

 

Working with Others.

 

Please make sure that even if you don’t like someone you are still able to work with them if you need to, we understand that you may not like someone, but it is imperative that you can work alongside them and do so comfortably.

 

CoC

 

Please remember to go over, read through and explain the CoC at the Generals meeting, making sure that your squads do it so, at LEAST once a month.

As of 5/12/16 .com is hereby Blacklisted, all members with .com affiliations must remove the .com members from their friedslist, as per poaching, harrassment and their leadership encouraging these actions, make sure your members are aware of this and know to avoid all contact with them, we cannot prevent this, but do not stress too much if members do leave, our KSI is not for everybody, they usually use the tactics of saying that We are the fake KSI.

Poaching

Make sure that people understand that when someone from another division are venting that they may be unhappy with things there, it is not appropriate to talk up your their own division to be better than the other, this is considered poaching and action will be taken.

Literally right around the corner, the schedule has been released it is in the Spirit Week section, complete with rules and games applied.

Make sure that all teams are ready ASAP, lack of a team in one game will result in missing out on one point, which could be the difference between defeat or victory.

Working Together.

Please make sure that you can work well with others, part of being a leader means you may have to deal with people or situations that make you uncomfortable, but it is imperative that all members can work well with those people in those scenarios, troiumphing through such tribulations will make you a better leader, if there is a persistant issue, bring in a higher up to mediate and squash situations, letting go of things will make lives easier, and letting them remain can  destroy squads and divisions. So make sure you do what is necessary to resolve and put aside issues and problems.

PC Division

 

KSI Now contains a PC gaming division, the division is called Infinite Kaos and is headed by KSI Firefist 7, if you have members that may be interested, then they can message Kyginos on the forums for more information on the games and path they are chosing, however, please note that members can NOT be a part of two divisions at the same time, and as such, they must division transfer in order to join Infinite Kaos proper, there are no restrictions on joining their game nights or playing along side them on your PC while being in an Xbox division, but you cannot be a member of two divisions at the same time.

 

Spirit Week

 

Spirit Week is coming fast, get your teams ready, there is a topic on the forums explaining team limitations and requirements so check it out asap.

 

Weekend warfare.

 

Saturday at 8PM EST is a Rocket League snow-day tournament, it will be a 2v2 competition, so get your teams signed up.

 

Spirit week aditional note.

 

Looking for Video submissions, the entries will be posted on the KSI youtube channel, the winner will be determined by public vote.

 

Requirements: Must be for Spirit week and must state such in the video, either with “KSI Spirit Week 2016” or “KSI 5th Annual Spirit Week” within the video, must represent all divisions, these are LS, DM, DR, DL, FI, TI, IK, HD, EO, ES, LW, MP and WI , must represent the games within the event, these are, Black Ops 2, Black Ops 3, Halo 5, Rocket League and Halo Reach. It MUST be a MINIMUM of 15 seconds long and preferably shorter than 1 minute total time, and ALL VIDEO’S MUST FOLLOW THE KSI CODE OF CONDUCT

 

Posting Meeting notes.

 

There are still divisions not doing this, it only takes 5-15 minutes to post notes, notes must be posted within 48 hours of having the meeting, any generals or 7’s responsible for posting not posting them must be dealt with accordingly.

ALL officers must have an active and posting forums account, failure to do so can result in strikes, rank suspensions and even demotions, there is a minimum post count, this MUST be reached EVERY WEEK

Make sure to get your teams together, this starts 21 days from now (Just 22nd) Get working to set the teams up, there is a section on the forums with a schedule breakdown if anyone needs to know about the games being played.

Productions are trying to get gamenights streamed, try not to get nights on Fridays or Saturdays streamed however, due to Weekly Update and Weekend Warfare.

 

Weekly Update.

 

This weeks update will be on the topic of workshops, at 8pm EST, next week, the 10th of June will be a Spirit Week preview, after which there will not be an update streamed in preparation for Spirit Week,

 

Minecraft Challenge.

 

2 weeks, for ALL divisions, to create a spirit week themed world on Minecraft, can be on either console, 2 weeks from the 1st of June is the cut-off date, after which the Productions team will be inspecting and recording the world, the SEED MUST be “Spirit” this will count as a single participation point for the division for Spirit Week 2016.

 

This is also the Weekend Warfare event for the next two weeks.

 

Meeting Notes.

Make sure all meeting notes are posted within 24-48 hours after each meeting.

 

Productions Spirit Week Competition.

 

This video submission competition is still open until the 8th of June, check out the stickied thread in the Spirit Week section on the forums for more information.

 

 

Train replacements.

 

Make sure that everyone understands that before promotion, a member must have a replacement ready, trained and taught about everything that is done at the rank they will obtain to ensure they can perform their duties.

Spirit week minecraft
The spirit week minecraft build off ends Friday there is a topic in the t&e section that in order for your map to be considered elegance for a participation point someone needs to fill out the template and post up for there division. The judging will take place on friday so please make sure the map host can be around to show off the map they made and good luck! 

Teams
With spirit week almost here now would e a great time to get some teams set up in your division so that we can get headhunters more active and get some fun competitive squad on squad battles going. If anyone needs any help with setting up a team contact your director or check out the head hunters section on the forums. 

Officer tests
Some divisions are still using an old test for officer promotions that are very out dated. We need to stop using these tests due to them being old and no longer relevant. We will be working on getting new test made for division that would like to still use the tests but for the time being please do not use any old tests that may be floating around. 

Spirit week
We are a week away from spirit week so everyone should be finalizing there teams and sending out messages like crazy! Let's get pumped up for an amazing spirit week!

Spirit week video 
Make sure you let everyone know that The spirit week Video Contest Voting will be  closing on Saturday. That means make sure you let everyone know to go cast there votes in the spirit week section on the forums.  The winner will announced on Sunday, and video will be shown the rest of the days until Spirit Week. 
 
Hosting
We will more than likely need some help with hosting lobbies this year so please spread the word at your meetings to ask fellow 7s (Co-Founder and up) if they would like to help host game lobbies for the Spirit Week events. Anyone interested should contact there director to pass the word on.

Spirit week
Spirit week was a great aucess! There were a few bumps during the way but all in all it was an awesome turn out and a whole lot of fun! Every division participated in some way or form which was awesome. Everyone start planning for next year lol. Make sure you congratulate the winners this year ls in 1st es in 2nd and wi in 3rd. 

Back to the grind
Now that spirit week is over its time to get back out to the grind and get things moving in your division again. We were a little lax with g14 and squad tags this last week but now we need to pick up the pace and get back put there. Remember 7 days off g14 or squaD tag is an automatic rank suspension so make sure you get back into the flow. 

Lockdown
Please remember we are still on lockdown which means all parties and games need to be on invite only as well as you should be taking extra precautions when doing security checks on new recruits. If anyone has any questions about what to look for during a security check please contact your director and they can further explain what needs to be done during a lockdown. 

Stats
Make sure your gettibf your stats sent in on the forums to all directors and seniors before the division meeting.

It's finally back! The AAP awards system is back up and running which means you can now go nominate your fellow memebers who you think has gone above and beyond for awards! Please remember to read the criteria for each award before you make a nomination and remember anyone can nominate someone for anything but only some cam actually witness so if you would be a good witness have someone else make the nomination for you.

AAP is back, go ahead and nominate people for the things you feel they are deserving of, and make sure to read what each award is for, some can only be nominated on behalf of other people, and cannot be nominated by one-self, also, ensure that ALL witness statements are detailed and factual.

Divisional Head Hunter.

 

While the date is unconfirmed, divisional headhunters season will be beginning, every division is to get a team together for BO2, NO 7’s are allowed on the team, the only way a 7 may be involved, will be the team’s manager/moderator, they are NOT the captain. Hopefully, this will be held in the beginning of August, this will be a trial run for more events in the future.

 

The team must consist of five people, with one backup for each member at the most, this will allow a 5vs5 practice situation.

 

Weekend Warfare.

 

This week it will be a 2v2 tdm on ghosts, sign up individually, and the T&E staff will draw names from hats, to help mix up the teams in play, and allow people to work with members they normally wouldn’t play alongside.

 

Next week will be a Doritos Crash Course Tournament, which is both free AND backwards compatible, so there is no excuse for not signing up.

LoA’s are going to be changed, the maximum alloted time is now three weeks, and as such, valid reasons should be given, such as military duties, vacations and medical issues, to name a few. However, if you are taking an LoA, we don’t want to see people online throughout that period.

If you haven’t yet had your match, try to get something set up so that your match is played before Friday, when the next series of match-ups will be announced.

 

Department Caps.

 

We have recently introduced department caps so that members aren’t taking on too much, if a member is IN clan ops, then they can only be in two departments, and no more.

On Tuesday September 6th, the sign ups for LEAD 101 will be posted, more information for the 101 class host times will be posted within the topic, the classes themselves, offer training in leadership skills within KSI, if you have not yet attempted to sign up, it is suggested that you do so.

AAP August OTM’s are open until Thursday September the 8th, go ahead and nominate those that you feel are doing the best in their position over the course of the last month, get their names out there so people know what’s going on.

 

Weekly Update.

 

Weekly update this week is hosted by KSI Ascend 7, and will be a discussion about the AAP system, members of the AAP team will be attending to discuss the benefits of the team, along with explaining the best ways to nominate people for the OTM’s and other awards around the community, both KSI Ascend 7 and KSI Ivy 7 are looking to get permanent members of the panel, no matter your rank, you’re welcome to apply to become a panel member, alongside guests that will drop in as and when they are available.

 

Alongside all this, the shoutouts given in the division stats posts will be given out live on twitch.tv/ksilive, if members being shouted out could attend the panel, for a moment or two at the least in order to receive the shoutout personally, alongside the members giving the shoutouts.

 

They also intend to introduce Roasting, this will happen randomly, alongside ad-libs, and they will be using the twitch-chat for this, using randomized words from the people talking to create a random paragraph at the end of the show.

this week is gonna be a 3v3 Roshambo on Halo 4 for the 360, this will be explained more in depth when they start setting things up, things should be a little hectic. This will be held on Saturday the 3rd of Sept at 8PM EST

 

Next week, on the 10th, will be on the new free with gold game, Forza Horizon, the tournament will be an elimination race, which will be limite to A-class vehicles, in which the last placed racer will be declared a loser, this game is on the 360, and is backwards compatible, so we are expecting a LOT of sign ups.

Next Week, is a Dual Event, a 360 FFA on Ghosts, and a Halo 5 FFA on the One, meaning that there is plenty for both consoles to do, this will also be held at 8PM EST on Saturday the 24th of September.
