Sounds good, we need a welcoming committee and to make sure we keep in contact with our recruits. The recruits of a division equal the future of a division so we need to make sure they are happy and being involved. Everyone should have already been doing majority of what you posted above. Recruit who you would enjoy gaming with. Something good you can do though is everytime a member in your squad signs on xbox live send them a party invite or a message saying hello or something along those lines because we are a social community (Don't spam them to death though because that can get annoying). Lastly play some games with them (it doesn't have to be Halo 4 or BO2, it can be any online multiplayer game). A squad is only as strong as its members so if you don't socialize and play games with your members your squad will not be strong.

as a new member i like the sound of what you guys are saying, another thing to add is helping people with the forums. like KSI Zohan and KSI PROD1GY 7 mentioned them when i first got started but it was KSIxFORSAKEN that really helped me get started on them, giving me the rundown. i mean it's kind of overwhelming if a new recruit has to face the forums right away but it helps if an experienced SGT, SSGT or up could help new recruits get accustomed to the forums and what's expected of them. 

 

additionally i have a few more ideas just to add in:

 

• division t-shirts. though i admit it might be a bit much just because there aren't any official KSI shirts yet.
• forge parties/game night parties. with new recruits, it would be a great way to kind of welcome them in. and just having 16 people screwing around together in forge world would be AWESOME. 
• other game nights. now i'm not sure how the game nights work since it's around the holidays, everybody's busy and they just aren't happening, but it seems like there are just game nights for halo 4. now that's great fun, but what about like minecraft game nights? if anybody has seen the roosterteeth videos, stuff like that would be awesome. there are multiple games (saints row the third, minecraft, blops, battlefield 3, halo 4 or even reach, etc.)

Have the Forge Team try to produce a new customs map every week or two? Would seem to be a good surprise for everyone every week/two weeks.

The Halo Forge Epidemic isn't considered a rival clan is it? Because while the idea to have the forge team crank out tons of maps a week is great it's also taxing. I ask because they take submissions from tons of people and they have FANTASTIC maps, from slenderman, to nascar, even to jurassic park themed maps. just over a hundred in reach and they're sending out maps weekly for halo 4. i figure we can download those maps and use them in custom game nights. and of course there is always grifball :D

Oh Conmon, no see AV has a forge team KSI BeheldX502, KSI UselessCape, KSI Pyro1337, and myself (KSI Reeses Cups) are members of the Forge Team. Anyone who can Forge or wants to learn how to Forge can join the Forge Team. We currently have maps such as Just Keep Driving v3.0, Rent-A-Car, Pinnacle, Duck Hunting(Ravine), Death Chamber, and are working on more. If you happen to make a map and it isn't perfect bring to a member of the Forge Team and we will fix it up.

Beheld, it would be good to have a deadline on new maps but if you do that the map may not be really fun. Good ideas for a new map that hasn't been created will take time then you would need to perfect it after the idea is formed so it would be best to just let the maps flow in. Thanks though.

I have a good tip for anyone in need of activity or recruitment or getting more members to step up.

 

1.) Activity: If you want more members active you need to be active with them. If you are playing a game at any point invite 6 or 7 members to a party and play some games with them. That way they we get to know more members in your squad and soon enough they will be doing the exact same thing you did to get people activity, and within a month or two time, every member will know every member and will be playing games with each other. This kinda tells how to get a member to step up.

 

2.)Getting more members to step up (Part 1-Name Change): You obviously can not force a member to step up or change their name but what you can do is talk to them, get to know them, introduce them to others, and play games with them. Recruits agree to join for the fun and the friends. If you get all the new recruits together and a few other members and play games with them, they will be even more interested in KSI. Eventually, after you have been playing games with the recruits a lot and getting to know them they most of the time decide they want to go further in KSI so they change their name.

 

   Getting more members to step up (Part 2-Getting members ready for officer spots): Getting a member ready for an officer spot can be difficult only if you make it difficult. Every leader in KSI became a leader because there was something that really needed to be done and they did it. (Mine was the division merge between SR and CE) To get your members ready you need to go over the officer duties and how important it is to continue helping after the promotion to officer. They must know and follow the Code of Conduct from top to bottom. Make it clear to them why you picked them to be taught over everyone else in the squad. After all that then give them a small assignment to work on and judge accordingly to how well they carry out the assignment. I never hurts to give them fake situations such as: "Two members were being unsporting how would you handle it?", "That member was talking bad about me", or ask how they would handle a member in their custom game tea-bagging. Also the member needs to know what the rank they are going to does. Finally, keep in contact with them so they can ask questions.

 

3.) Recruiting: Recruiting can be difficult to some so it is good to get members to do mach recruitments on a squad leader that way you can take notes on what they need to improve on and help them. If you happen to be in a squad that doesn't do much recruiting it is good to have recruiting parties. I like to have my recruiting parties right after custom game nights because everyone is pumped from the game night and tend to have more fun in Matchmaking. If you are having fun, recruiting will not be a problem. Make sure that PVT's and CPL's are only recruiting with a SGT or higher observing.

 

 

I you are doing this you should be ok. This is my methods in Strife and it works wonders for me

SWISHIERS RECRUITMENT WORKSHOPS!!!

We need classes to train our members. You will probably say, " Well Reeses, we are already holding SGT workshops." That is not what I mean. I am talking about a class for leadership, a class for recruiting, and a class for knowledge. Now of course there would need to be one teacher for each class and every member must attend at least one of each but should try to attend all. This will train every member in a squad to be good leaders. If a squad does this they would have a strong possibility of being successful.  ::D
