    Marketing KSI putting us on the map and on the road to revenue

    KSI Zerox i see you have the passion and the drive to help support this great community, how ever it is important to note as many have said here, before you can do something that uses the name KSI or any branding of such you need to get permission from the Board Of Directors.  

    Also as mentioned by I Am FuzzyMeep amount of members doesn't really matter, it's the quality, the activeness and the dedication of the members that really matters. When I was active in the community KSI had a large number over 15,000 members, a ton of divisions and a lot of leaders who were not trained properly or brought up the chain of command the incorrect way.  This directly  resulted in failure and loss of members and eventually the re organization of KSI.    During this time I also left the community to help reorganize and build a new community and during that time i realized the correct way to encourage, promote and have a winning gaming community.  That is having dedicated leaders, members who are active and share common interest in gaming, gaming news, tournaments etc.. and also having proper training and chart / flow of progression to leadership roles.

    With all that said I think the best thing you should to do is learn the way of the organization, Take some training classes and wait for a posting for open positions on the media, marketing or news team and work your way up to help with advertising the KSI name and brand.  

     

     

      Tournament / Ladder System?

      A good internal tournament / ladder system would be a great way to increase friendly and fun competitiveness between squads / divisions and fellow members.

      There are a ton of Free scripts out there in HTML, Java, Flash and what ever and all they need is a little love, a tweak here or there and a MYSQL database to run off. it will be well worth the time and effort to get one and to get it up and running.

      There are a ton of company's out there that give discounts to EMS/FIRE/Military and have set aside websites just for them. When you sign up for one of them let say okley they require a ID Card from the agency and as well as your Fire fighter 1 / EMT card issued by the state. or a active military card / DD 214 form

      Maybe KSI can do this?

      but have people applying black out there Cert numbers but leave there name?

      Where i live i am a active member of the Volunteer system for Fire / EMS and have worked in conjugation with the County / State and local business to give discounts to the volunteers. We use a database of this info also to issue discount members cards. It works fantastic and been around for 3 years now.
