A message from your Division Creator...

Hello to all of you lovely members of Shadow Haven.  For those of you who don't know me, I am KSI QueenJess 7, Senior Director of KSI. 

 

 

Almost 2 years ago, I was given the opportunity after much hard work and determination to take a division split from Last Strike and make what is now known to you as the division of Shadow Haven.  It was at this time, I vowed to myself that I would build this division on the strongest foundation, with the most fun, while upholding what it really means to be a KSI member.

 

Over the years, as I have progressed through the ranks, SH has had some hard times, some harder times, and even more AMAZING times.  But through it all, you all have stood strong, vigilant, and determined to be better than anything that has come before you.

 

I just want to take a moment and remind you all of the ideas and strengths that Shadow Haven was built upon, so that you all can keep the legacy going...

 

1. Recruiting standard - When you recruit someone, you are INVITING them into your home.  If you don't trust these people, or only want them to stay a few minutes.. why invite them at all?  Make sure that the people you are inviting in, are people who you want to play with next week. 

 

2. Never vent down, if you need to talk... talk up!  Taking out your frustrations on the members below you is only going to make them feel like they aren't doing enough to help you.  In most cases, you aren't even frustrated with them, you are just frustrated in general.  Vent up.. to the people who can help guide you, advise you, and offer you resources and support to help you get what you need to get the job done.

 

3. HAVE FUN!!  Everything you do in KSI won't always be easy, and most certainly won't ALWAYS be fun.  But the more fun we make out of everything we can, the more positive and exciting things will be.  There's not reason why squad meetings, game nights, division meetings, head hunters try outs, random custom games, recruiting, training... all of this can't be fun.  KSI is what YOU make it, so make it the kind of community you want!

 

4. Respecting yourself, and your members.  It's key to respect the fact that we are all people, outside of xbox and the forums... we have lives, issues, problems, responsibilities, troubles, and a lot of times girls or boys that need attention as well as KSI.  Respect the fact that sometimes your definition of an "active" member or leader, may not be the same as others.  So, always make sure that your expectations of people as a leader are known, when they are given more responsibility within your squad or the division. 

 

5. Shadow Haven is a family.  If one of us is upset... all of us are upset.  If one squad is hurting, all of us are hurting.  Always turn to each other for help and support.  If anyone knows what you guys are going through, it's probably the people in your division who have at some point gone through it as well.  Utilizing your rank structure is essential in making sure that the lines of communication stay open. 

 

 

With these things, you all have every tool to be even more successful than you've already been.  Aim to be great and never settle for good.  Good cannot be good enough when it comes to being the best in KSI.  Find small goals, and make them happen.  Success comes from your passion for what you are doing, not your position.
