We all have our own experience within KSI. I think it would be amazing to get together and share our experience with the division.

 

This means post things that can be helpful to members.

 

Tell of recruiting tips or any knowledge you have that can help members move up the ranks and get more involved. Sharing a past experience can also help members when they come across a similar situation.

 

I believe this will help us become stronger as a division/family

If I could start on this.

It may be common sense to do this, but when you get into game night lobbies make sure that you are having everyone in the lobby invite people to the game from the squad tag. The more members you have inviting people, the better turnout you will have! It's your guys' job to spam people with invites during game nights, so keep that in mind. 

Also, if you do end up getting a full lobby, split the lobby!!! Get another custom lobby going, and have even more people come! Then, when you've exhausted all measures of getting your squad members into the game, invite people from other squads in your division!!!! You want as many people as possible attending these, so why not get the whole division involved?

Game nights are always a great way to get people active, as well as to meet new people. <3

Ok well I am giving it a shot.

     My experience is hang out with everyone in your squad! If your only hanging out with one specific person this could cause problems.

1.) Many others would like to play with you and get to know you as well in this case they are feeling ignored.

2.) You arent bonding with the squad so you wont get to know anyone or have fun.

3.) It will be boring after awhile and you get lonley. SOOOOOOOO

      GET OUT THERE!! You guys can be shy believe me i was so be all fun and giggly it works. lol

Making friends and having fun competitive gaming is the best part about being here. Getting to know people and being as silly as you want. Open up to others because if you remember when you joined you wanted to be welcomed right? So go out there and be you have fun again and meet all the new recruits. That one person could end up being your best friend! LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!! I Tried :/ <3 :3

I cant say this enough, its always been a problem and myself as a General of awhile and... I HATE IT!!!!!

Please actively Recruit, which means:

1) No party chat

2) No excluding (Dont leave the recruitie out, get him involved in the lobby and talk with the guy) 

3) back out and invite the guy, get to know him and play with him First.

 

When you recruit him, KEEP ACTIVE with him! That is how to avoid FLUFF, the thing i hate.

You do not believe how old some members are that i removed because they were inactive, not because they ere bad members, but no one played with them!

 

So the point is: Recruit and stay active

 

Even inviting him to a party and saying whats up can go along way to prevent him/her from becoming fluff.

I am always pushing Forum activity and signups. The true taste of KSI comes from both activity on xbox and activity on here.

 

Be cautious with recruits, it should be common sense but I know people have done this so, if they break CoC before you recruit them, they are most likely going to break it after as well.

 

All of your recruits reflect you in some way, they have you in their bio so don't embarrass yourself.

 

If someone is feeling down and they need some attention, get the whole squad involved! More people to cheer someone up, the better they will feel. This will also make them feel more welcome and bring everyone closer together. May even boost activity for a while.

For meeting notes:

When you all are posting up meeting notes, post them as if you wanted to go on the website and read them yourself if you missed the meeting. You want to be detailed in what you post, so that people know exactly what you went over in the meeting. You also want ranks and names of the members who were there, as well as the number of members/guests at the meeting. You need to put in leader's meeting notes, as well as squad based topics as well! Having the date of the meeting is pretty important as well, by the way. Another thing that you should put in there is your squad numbers, so your people can be updated on that as well!

Even if there is not a scheduled gamenight that has had a message sent out from the squad tag, do not be afraid to message people and get one going

- If you are reading this thread... you are already on the right track of doing the FIRST thing that I would suggest given my experience in KSI.  LEARN EVERYTHING YOU CAN!  It is imperative that you as a member and or leader research all you can about KSI, and any answer to any question regarding KSI can be found here on the forums!

 

- Remember, KSI is an INVITE only gaming community.  Just because someone WANTS to join KSI doesn't mean they are a good fit.  Only recruit people in that you want to game with.  If you recruit someone that you can't see yourself gaming with tomorrow, then you have made a mistake.  If at anytime you feel that you are approached by someone wanting to join and it doesn't feel right, send them to the forums to apply in the join section.  That way we can document this persons interest in KSI! 

 

- Don't always assume that since you passed information or tips down to your replacement, that all of that information will make it to his/her replacement, and the replacement after that.  Always be sharing your knowledge (just like the purpose of this thread) with the leaders you work with in your squad/division to ensure that your expectations of them remain clear and communicated. 

 

- Understand that true leadership comes from PASSION not POSITION. You don’t become a leader by being promoted. You earn a promotion because you are a leader.

 

- Always try to remind yourself that good is the enemy of great.  Never strive to be good at what you do, or have a good squad or division.  Good is average, good does not set you apart from the norm, good becomes boring and causes complacency. Motivate yourself and others to be the BEST at whatever role you play, or to have the BEST squad in your division.  This will inspire others around you to do the same, and will keep people looking forward to what comes next, instead of becoming comfortable in what is.

Little things can be a big help, if you see a squad member out of uniform in game or something like a misspelling in their motto/bio help them fix it in a private chat  

Checking each others privacy setting is a huge help as well.

 

Don't be afraid to talk up the forums either, we want as many members as we can get on here!

Having trouble seeing recruiting activity within the squad? Looking to get in more members while instilling activity? No problem! Get with another General, and get some friendly competition going if you both have similar numbers! Get people excited about trying to beat the other squad, maybe even offer a prize for the member who gets the most recruits in the squad. These are the types of things that help out with activity, and bringing in new members within the squad/division!

Same thing goes with squad team competitions! Get a random team together against another random team from another squad for some....RANDOM FUN!!!! Again, things like this help out with activity and get others to know different squads within the division, so make sure that these things are all happening! Even you Generals can get in on the action. Remember, you're never too high of a rank to have fun!

Lead by Example, you are an influence on your recruits and squad members even if you don't realize it.

If they see you acting like a clown or breaking CoC, they will think it is an OK thing to do.

Leadership, ensure that you all are choosing your people carefully for promotions. An officer position is something to be respected and revered, and you want someone who is going to not only uphold that honor, but also uphold everything else that KSI represents. If you're not sure of their abilities, why not give them a shot to see if they are cut out for it. You'll never know what you find with some of these guys unless you look for yourself, and throw them into the fray. 

Generals, you have the squad tag for a reason. You might as well make the use of it fun when you are online with it! Send out some amazing messages! Anything from extra information pertaining to KSI leaders, or whatever it may be, to something motivational such as a "Quote of the day"! Also, spice up your messages with whatever you can! I know it sounds kind of dumb and simplistic, but adding in those exclamation marks and smileys could make a world of difference when you are trying to convey something to them in high spirits!

Always member to have fun, just because you are in an officer spot or higher doesn't mean that you cannot go out and game!

Give yourself a break from time to time if you are feeling overwhelmed, and if you are feeling overwhelmed, ask for help.

Remember to train members for a position that they wish to attain, before they actually reach that position. The last thing that you want, is for someone to be an officer or higher rank, and not know what to do in that rank. Knowledge is one of the most important things in KSI, and without it, we don't know what to do with ourselves and others as leaders. Ensure that you're always trying to mentor someone beneath you, as they might end up taking your place some day. 

I know this is a strain for some of you all, but recruiting is definitely a must to get new blood into a squad/division. All we ask you guys to do is get 5 new members in a squad per week, and if you can get more than that, then that is amazing! This lets us bring new members into squad meetings, game nights, and other things. This also brings in new people for possible opportunities for members wishing to be officers, and new people showing leadership skills who could move up eventually!

Rock a positive and happy attitude!!! Wear an online smile!!!

Being positive even when things are not going the best they could can make all the difference.

It is contagious to others and can really bring up activity and motivation within your Squad(s)/Division.

Ensure that you are playing with a variety of members when going into game nights or lobbies. Surround yourself with a different group of people each day! That way you'll never see yourself forming a clique with certain members, and you're getting to know everyone in your squad! You, as an officer or even as a general, should be able to tell a short story about most of your members in the squad! If you can't, then get to know them!!!

Stay on top of things when you set goals for yourselves or the squad. Let people know where we are at with squad or member progress when it comes to game nights or recruits! Push them to meet their goals, and if they do, then push for them to try for something more! Always have officers and others who wish to move up to challenge themselves, as well as others! Always strive to improve yourself, and those around you. This way, you know you are putting out 100% for your squad and division.

I was playing Griffball tonight and I came across two players in the FTG clan(not blacklisted) who said KSI sucks. So I said there is KSI united and KSI Global they asked which one has more. I of course said Global. after that we had a nice peaceful Griffball game. We were on the same team also which made it even better. They got to know more about us while i learned about the clan they are both in. So alway ask if they are talking about Global or United you never know they may just think you're in United cause United is really hated.

I think it is also important to note a persons strong points and weak points. Of course, as stated above, you learn this by playing with them- but if you have someone who is not really good at running and gunning, or sniping, or even fast paced maps and games and they seem to be getting frustrated. Say something to them, teach them little tricks you picked up. Maybe offer one on one or a party training time to learn things about maps and guns and play styles. If they are a support person, then do not always pick things that make them feel....well inadequate or just there to make it easier for others to win. In no way am I saying that you should LET them win or something, but a compliment here and there does not hurt. Do not drum up one recruit or party member and leave another out.

i like to game with as many squad members as i can!!! never under estimate the importance some people place on being noticed.... also the utilization of smartphone apps like kik has helped phoenix become more active!!!!
