We would like to see all of us being more open and communicative on every level of leadership. The most effective divisions with the happiest members are those with active and open lines of communication from ground up Officer Ratios & Growth: Divisional 7 staff - please get with your directors to talk about current officer ratios and possible areas needing growth. For the month of June, all Divisions attaining the 10:1 member to officer ratio will receive double divisional cup participation points in that area for the month! (Gens) Officer ratios have been slipping in recent stat charts, if you are a gen and notice your officer ratio is off try to combat that by getting with your cofo to strategize what officer potential you have in your squad. Kicked and Removed From Divisions: It is mandatory to post evidence when kicking and removing from divisions. Imgur is your friend. When writing the details of the situation as to why someone was kicked/removed, please be as organized and in depth as possible. This is for your benefit as well as the community Discord communication: Make sure that the KSI Discords are being used professionally. We can be social in these chats at times, but need to make sure that we are upholding the CoC in the process and keeping petty drama out. All issues between members or leaders are to be handled IN A PARTY on Xbox, not via DMs or especially in any chats accessible to members Squad Promotions and Demotions: While for the most part Generals decide who get promoted within their squads, there are certain processes that must be upheld in doing so. SSGT - LT promotions: Completely up to Generals, please inform Co-Founders to stay in the loop but do not require their approval CPT promotions: Generals need approval from Co-Founders BEFORE promoting the captain in question. All Demotions: All demotions within a squad must be approved by Co-Founder prior to demotion. Spirit Week: Spirit Week will be coming up here in just a few weeks at the end of June! The dates as well as the full list of games/game-types for both members and 7s events are listed under the Spirit Week section on the forums! TSB No Contact: Reminder that any/all KSI members are NOT TO HAVE ANY CONTACT with TSB members for any reasons whatsoever. Clan-OPS: **Discord Server (Division Leaders)** • Roles and channels have are in the last stages of finalization looking for a volunteer division to beta test the new system. Server will be updated with the new system sometime next week most likely Monday or Tuesday. After about a week of beta testing we will start to rollout the new system community-wide. **Lockdown Procedures (Division Leaders)** • When divisions go on lockdown they should not only be notifying their director but also getting any lockdown procedures cleared by the senior team. This includes upping gamerscore requirements or age restrictions etc. If your division turns down any recruits that would otherwise be allowed to join KSI based on community standards you MUST send them to the join area. Any generals or 7s staffs not doing this can be subject to review of their lockdown procedures leading up to but not excluding overturning any decision made by a divisional 7s staff in regards to lockdown procedures. **Job Title Update** • KSI Greg 7 has moved to Chief Knowledge Officer on the Board of Directors. **Reminder of the Conflict of Interest policy** • “Conflict of interest” means when the K.S.I.’s interest in securing objective performance of instructional, evaluative, supervisory, or other responsibilities conflicts with the personal interest, in the outcome, of the individual carrying out such responsibilities. Such conflicts of interest arise when an member is involved in a sexual or romantic relationship with another K.S.I. member whom s/he directly supervises, teaches or evaluates; when an member lives with another member or student whom s/he supervises, teaches or evaluates, whether or not those individuals are involved in a sexual or romantic relationship; or when an member is involved in any relationship with another member or student whom s/he supervises, teaches or evaluates, such that the K.S.I.’s interest in securing objective performance of instructional, evaluative, supervisory, or other responsibilities conflicts with the personal interest, in the outcome, of the individual carrying out such responsibilities. All instances of a Conflict of interest should be reported to the highest leader of the division and everything will be done to ensure that both members will still be able to have their desired future in this community and avoid any future issues, These relationships are not discouraged but for the safety and well being of the community and the participants that it be disclosed and addressed prior to any issues arising. Discord Server We will begin testing the discord role system this week. We will be getting with the divisions that volunteered this week and begin implementing the new channels, roles, and categories. Divisional Transfers It’s important that all division leaders or the highest ranking within the division stay on top of the divisional transfer area. There was a high build up in the past month that was just recently cleared out. Omega There are 142 of the PVTs we have in the community are 2 weeks or longer on the Omega. Make sure your gens are getting with all of these PVTs to get them trained, or are removing them for becoming fluff. This is important to ensure that all members are being communicated with as well as having true numbers. This new div-based HoF will act similar to the OTMs and will take place during and leading up to Spring Break and Fall Classic. Each division can have up to 3 members inducted into the HoF per event at a maximum per the AAPs discretion. A forums topic will be created within the next 2 weeks for people to go nominate their choices for Div HoF inductees. There will be a format posted in the topic that all nominations must follow, and each nominator may only nominate one person from the division. The first inductions will be announced the last day of fall classic. Nominations will begin August 20th and last until mid - September. Fall Classic: Fall Classic is right around the corner! A time frame is yet to be set but you can expect a spectacular kick-off to the season with tournaments, streams, Divisional Hall of Fame, and more! Discord: The first beta test has begun and was accomplished without any chats being deleted and most roles just being modified to fit the system. We will have a week of testing and bug fixes, and then we will choose 1-2 more divisions to update. Our goal is to get the role system in every division before September. Divisional Transfers: Make sure that when you are looking at possible transfer to your division that you take into account a few things. First, always pay attention to the volume of transfers you are getting from specific squads or divisions. If you notice an excess number of transfer from a squad or a division to your division that should be investigated. Second, when accepting transfers you should take into account not only the applicants side of why they transferred, but also the divisions. Every applicant should be interviewed and every division leader should communicate openly regarding the transfer whether it is incoming or outgoing. Rejoin and Join Area: If you are a Founder or higher you should check the join area regularly to ensure apps are being commented on and updated. All applicants should be interviewed before a stance is posted. Consolidating/Strengthening Squads: It Is imperative for divisional growth and solidarity that merging a squad is not viewed as a negative or “defeat” in a sense. The reason people enjoy being a part of squad is due to activity, friendships, and strong leadership. Dying squads only cause poor relationships and negative perspective of clan experience. Spreading Positivity: Often times in clan ops we get too hung up on the work aspect of KSI and the negatives that can come with it. Remember that we are all people who just want to game and have fun at the end of the day, so take time outs to relax, build new relationships, and praise those members of the division who do great things for the members. If they cannot be active enough to receive their Sergeant promotion either than they are to be removed as well after 1 weeks time from the name change. Currently the community has 150 Privates with 114 of them surpassing the 2 week ‘grace period’ so technically 114 people either aren’t getting promoted, or need to be removed. Fluff, activity, and participation in our KSI - Wide events all play a part in not only running a successful division, but maintaining one. Do some digging in your squads this next week and figure out areas of concern for you and your team to address. <<(Directors) Squad Tag >> • Please remember when creating and issuing squad tags that we are checking to see which numbers are on the tag, adding seniors not on the tag as well as deleting old numbers we may find. Another thing to look for is if a safesec email is listed on the squad tag, if not please inform the seniors and we will add one. <<(7s) Omega>> • You can now “Suspend” omega access for users with a lower level of access than you. This works with rank suspensions, going off of omega for 7 or more days etc. Also remember to check the Last Logins” tab in the leaders dashboard to see users who have gone off for near or at 7 days. This tool should be used and checked regularly to avoid inactive users on the Omega management system. <<(Gens and up) Omega>> • Reminder that going off of your omega for 7 or more days can and will lead to a rank suspension.
