This marks a great accomplishment in KSI history and makes a positive impact for KSI’s future. This great accomplishment will lead to many other great things in this amazing community. The Hydra DNH As of November 1 2020 the DNH will drop for ALL divisions across KSI. Any member can chat and add Hydra to the friends list. Please remember NO ONE HAS TO PLAY OR CHAT with anyone in Hydra if they DO NOT want to. We know this is a bit ahead of schedule but things are moving well and KSI wants to finish the year strong. KSI has a very bright future and we are all doing great things. If you have any questions or concerns please PLEASE reach out to your 7’s staff or your Sr. Director and Director team. Turkey Bowl The Turkey bowl is just around the corner so please start getting your teams ready to go. Make sure everyone has a good time and enjoys the event. Training and Mentoring Remember to take this time to really train your potential officers. This is a good time to really get out there with your SGTs and find you some great RCTers. Take your time with them and mold these officers and RCTers into the future of your squads and divisions. Department Notes: Productions Productions is actively seeking new streamers. Scheduling Division Events As this community grows and moves into 2021 we need to be sure we are not hosting Events and such during the time of Weekend Warfare or KSI special events. These events are put on for the community to meet people and have a good time. If your division is hosting any kind of gamenight or such please schedule them way before or way after the Weekend Warfare. T&E and Productions works hard to do these things weekly for this community. Divisional Transfers Please remember that ALL Division Transfers HAVE TO HAVE THE DIV LEADS OR ACTING DIV LEADS APPROVAL! There is no pass on this rule. If the app does not have the correct approval they will be closed and archived until they are posted correctly. Following Chain of Command The chain of command is there to help not just allow you to get assistance quickly but to also allow them to learn how to handle issues, or questions they aren’t aware of. Chain of Command rank order is: Members: RCT, PVT, CPL Officers: SSGT, LT, CPT Squad Running Officers: General Divisional Staff: CoFounder, Division Leader, Director in that order “Don’t Leave Members Behind” Here in KSI, we have this spoken rule about not leaving each other behind. In essence, we work as a team and as a family in all that we do. This code has multiple forms and meanings behind it. If it is in game, don’t just rage quit if the game isn’t going your way. Communicate to your fellow teammates that you have had enough and that’s time for you to stop and take a breather. This code also means to be inclusive to your squad mates. Don’t just play with your clique. Reach out and meet new members as often as possible. When you sign up for events, please follow through and not leave your team left standing without you. If you can’t fulfill your spot on the team, then help your fellow members find a suitable replacement before the event. We want everyone to feel welcomed. There are no stupid questions. Asking questions is one of the best ways to learn something new. Sometimes we might think that we know the answer but if uncertain it's best to ask and make certain rather than make a simple mistake. Activity outside of your Division Playing with your squad and division is an awesome way to get to know your fellow KSI members but remember the KSI wide Discord server is there to help you find the rest of the community to play with and more people with similar interests. Not in the server? Ask your General or 7 staff for more details!!!!! The Next Chapter in KSI As we turn the page for the next chapter in KSI, there are many new things coming down the pipeline. One of the updates we have is the new Code of Conduct which has now been released! It has been posted near the top of every Discord server in the Code of Conduct channel. This is the CoC to use moving forward for all recruitments and promotions. Coming soon, we also have some handbook and workshop revamps happening due to the awesome Education and Information Team. So be on the lookout for that in the next couple months or so. There are many opportunities here in KSI to make a difference. Be a part of this next chapter by joining a department, becoming a part of the Web Ops team, or moving up as an officer to grow and build your squads and divisions. Let’s kick some butt in 2021! SGTs to PVTS get lost within the day to day doings of the community. Officers and Members of the community it is our job to make sure all members are being invited to all activities within the squad and division. If there is a member that you haven’t spoken to in a while, reach out and see what is going on and get them back active with the squad and division Professionalism Please remember that as leaders we are expected to handle situations while remaining professional and not escalating the situation with negative actions. Use these tips when you are handling problems with a member : • Ensure your in an Invite Only Party. • Politely remove any non-essential guests or members. • Stay calm and keep a steady tone of voice. • Maintain emotional control at all times. • Uphold a neutral, and professional position, regardless of personal feelings. If at any point you feel your unable to handle the situation professionally then allow another member in a rank equivalent or higher to help. **7s Staff** Please make sure whenever a general or 7 from your gets promoted or demoted (or steps down) y'all are posting in this section and tagging dropshot. Wanna make sure we keep everyones forums permissions etc up to date. We will never force anyone to be an officer rather as leaders we can try ways to motivate those who have at least thought about stepping up. Recruiting workshops & CEP workshops are ideal events to host to help introduce what is required of an officer. If people approach you or your officers about the possibility of stepping up then do your best to assist them. For members who want more information about becoming an officer please contact your officer staff and/or general for more information. The officer staff can and should be a cohesive unit working to solve any and all problems that might arise. It is crucial that you maintain open communication by posting in your perspective officer chats, private messages or by getting in party's together. You guys and gals are a team and should always be working together toward the greater good for your squad/division. To be patient with each other and work together toward a common goal of better Communication with everyone. Online Status: - Please remember that we are an active gaming community that thrives on the ability to communicate and game with each other. This is difficult to do if you appear offline for days at a time or all the time. We ask that you only appear offline if a family member or someone other than yourself is on your XBOX or your on LOA. Abusing the appearing offline option can result in you being deemed inactive or hinder your ability to be a successful member/leader within the community. It doesn't matter if you are a new member or a Board Member, always ask questions, seek for answers and gain as much knowledge as you can. We can all learn from each other. Working together as a team makes the workload lighter but it also shows a united front. If the 7s staff communicates with the GENs and makes them feel like the bigger picture amazing things can happen. But please understand the final say and path of the division is in the hands of the 7 staff but having info from everyone helps make these decisions better for the division. Doing this will put you as a VIP and will enable you to take part in the various raffles that are held during the KSI seasonal events such as Spring Break, Spirit Week, Turkey Bowl and Fall Classic. You can also receive various awards and a forums group. Communication Please remember to always communicate any and all concerns that you might have with your Officer Staff, General or 7s Staff. If something doesn't seem right and you are not certain, ask someone. Ask an officer higher than you to bring it to their attention. If they don't know that there is a problem then they can't fix it. This can lead to bigger problems if it's not addressed early it can cause a snowball effect and grow fast. Being a TEAM within your divisions has to be as big of a deal as COMMUNICATION is. Working together as a team makes the workload lighter but it also shows a united front. If the 7s staff communicates with the GENs and makes them feel like the bigger picture amazing things can happen. But please understand the final say and path of the division is in the hands of the 7 staff but having info from everyone helps make these decisions better for the division. If you have ordered anything from our last vendor please reach out to your 7 staff so they can pass the info up to the BoD. Please be patient with us as we search out a new vendor to handle or needs. Follow the chain of command and to take care of the issue. Remember we praise in public and scold in private. Online Status: Please remember that we are an active gaming community that thrives on the ability to communicate and game with each other. This is difficult to do if you appear offline for days at a time or all the time. We ask that you only appear offline if a family member or someone other than yourself is on your XBOX or your on LOA. Abusing the appearing offline option can result in you being deemed inactive or hinder your ability to be a successful member/leader within the community. Make sure to plan in your schedule to actually hang out with the members. We all know first hand officer cores can become clichey etc. But it’s our job as officers to be out there hanging and building relationships within our squad with the members. Bring the energy, bring the hype, and bring a good time to these peeps. We all join KSI to have fun, if things aren’t fun it’s your job to bring that vibe and energy back. As that is what drives activity and potential officers. Awarding Members and Officers Make sure you are letting it be known when someone is doing an excellent job not just to the person but the community. If the work they have done is commendable with an award on the forums put them up for it. If they have been pushing the squad and or division to a new platform put a shout out in your weekly notes!!!!!
