In a post apocalyptic world what species would inhert the earth and become the new alpha species? Would humans survive? Personally I feel that humans as a whole had the capability to survive before we became a modernized industrial society driven by technology. I believe that humans would not die out but would no longer be the predominant species a degree of balance would be restored where humans where kept in check by natural predators and elements of nature like all other species are. Lol doesn't have to be an invasion I strongly believe that it wont be any kind of nuclear strike that will end us. It will be our over population exhausting all natural resources or some form of biological weapon engineered by man and not properly controlled. New kill streak on cod maybe? Yea I feel yea there lol Yea I think we will eventually reach a critical mass were our global agricultural and livestock resources cannot keep up with the growing demand. Especially if the rest of the globe develop a protien rich diet like the united states has. With the climate shifts occurring the way they are we are already seeing rising food cost due to droughts imagine that with the population growing exponentially over the course of the next five to ten years. Yea its a very real threat that if not addressed now could cause major problems. We are already seeing a shift in population centers due to rising fuel prices. People are leaving the rural areas and moving into urban centers. I believe the only way the rural areas will be able to thrive is if more people become more self sustained (I.e. growing small gardens, hunting, forging, etc) I know me personally I seldom buy meat from grocery stores I am a big hunter and Fisher and also have access to local meat from a butcher. I know if everyone shifted in that means it would deminish our wild game but we just need to address the over indulgance issue that plagues our globe. I'm as guilty as most of over eating but I have started to shift my habits as I see the rise in food cost. Lol crazy I know who would have ever guessed that the mians (spelling) callander didn't predict the end of the world in 2012 but the end of Twinkies. Naw KSI Bald Beaver #1 representing Nemesis here. REASON : silent, decent range, multi functional (I.e hunting, climbing, fishing), and don't have to worry much with ammo unless you lose your arrows lol.
