KSI xKing 7DS 795 Posted May 10, 2018 Report Share Posted May 10, 2018 Welcoming Committee: The welcoming committee is a team of individuals within a Division that all share the goal of helping new members learn about KSI, and getting them involved with the community. The committee members are to be well diversified between all squads within the Division, ranging from 1 to 2 members per squad. All members must be knowledgeable, approachable, well known and respected throughout their Division. The goal of a Welcoming Representative will be to teach all new recruits about the ins and outs of KSI, as well as informing these recruits of simple procedures, including but not limited to: Forums usage Web-Ops Join/Re-join processes Divisional sections Weekend Warfare Chain of Command Mission: The Welcoming Representatives mission is to bridge the gap between disconnected and or new members, and to also make all members feel welcomed by keeping them active within KSI. This committee will be outgoing and proactive in its approach to communicate and make sure all new members who join KSI are well informed. This team is used to integrate all members with their divisions and squad by continuing the orientation process initiated by officers. Objectives: Establish communication with new and disconnected members. Provide more insight and knowledge about KSI and the day-to-day functions of the new members’ respective squad and division. Maintain contact with new members and attempt to contact inactive ones until the individual is actively involved within their division and squad. Welcoming Representative Requirements: Individual must be the rank of Sergeant, Staff Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain. Individual must be known throughout their squad. Individual must be friendly and welcoming to all. Welcoming Representative Duties: Keep track of current recruits within their squad and actively send invites and messages to all new members. Send messages out to other squad members welcoming the new recruit. Encourage member involvement with all KSI events. Each and every member of this committee is to be held in the highest esteem, as each of them carry a huge voice for their squad. If you think you're up to the task, please fill out this application. I have good people skills, and I have surpurb customer relations (member relations) What has your KSI experience been? Please explain in depth. I've been the rank of captain plenty of times,made it to Gen twice, and Cofo once. How often are you available to complete the duties of a Welcoming Representative? Very often, I work a full time job, but have freedom there, I can be available whenever I wish Do you consider yourself to be approachable and outgoing? I have a good knowledge and alignment with the core values of a welcoming committee. I feel this comittee can truly stregenth this division and i could be apart of bolstering the enjoyment and learning process of new members to the KSI experience. I’m very outgoing. I’m able to do things when I need to. And if I say I’ll do something I put my 110% into it. What has your KSI experience been? Please explain in depth. I was recruited into KSI on 11/29/14 into Elysium DR. Made it up to CPT, helped split the squad and was a cpt in the new squad Archangel. Sadly my run in Archangel was over. So I stayed with DR till it was split into MP. And was a CPT in Enforcer MP. Made it up to Gen of Kingdom DR. And I’m in Hannibal DW as a 4CPT. I feel like I’m writing too much How often are you available to complete the duties of a Welcoming Representative? I’m on all the time. If you know me you know what I mean. I'm always welcoming new members to KSI. It doesn't matter if they are a new member of Samutai or DW, I try to reach out to all members. I see this opportunity as a way to reach out further then I already am. My voice is heard in my squad and members come to me for advice and help. What has your KSI experience been? My KSI experience has been a great one since I came back to KSI. Everything is explained clearly now and I know what I'm trying to become. I'm really enjoying myself. How often are you available to complete the duties of a Welcoming Representative? I'm online almost everyday, so I will be available when I'm needed. Do you consider yourself to be approachable and outgoing? Yes, members are always coming to me because I have a open ear and I/m very socially confident. I am dedicated and passionate about welcoming new people. I like to add all new people, and welcome them to the discord server. I like to impart knowledge and enhance their KSI experience as much as I possibly can. I am a Performance Officer and know how important our impressions on new members and the important of bringing back members who have fallen through the cracks. I try to reach out to them and will continue to attempt to do so to the best of my ability. I am very forums active! I enjoy reading the forums multiple times daily, nominating people for awards, and teaching members abd non-members about the forums, different departments, and how to navigate the websites. What has your KSI experience been? Please explain in depth. My first time in KSI was much different from this time around. I joined a squad that was struggling very much and I took it as my personal responsibility to help my squad. My General was not around and I quickly rose up the ranks. I brought my squad up, personally brought up many officers around me and was well known by everyone. I taught many how to recruit, train and mentor and was a mentor to them . I was promoted to Co-Founder a week before my squad split. As Co-Founder I was acting General over a squad on a game type that I was unfamiliar with and saved it from dying. This time around I am in DW and the dynamic is much less fight-or-flight but, I am helping my squad. I am a member of the News Team, T&E, and a Performance Officer. I have worked my way to 3LT and look forward to continuing to assist my squad. I feel the welcoming committee would be a way to help work towards a greater level of squad unity and a way to contribute to KSI as a whole. How often are you available to complete the duties of a Welcoming Representative? Often. I have a lot of free time and am good at distrubuting my time. Do you consider yourself to be approachable and outgoing? I definitely do. I am always available to work with and help people. It has been great I wanted to rank up since I got in to help out the squad.
