KSI Silence 7 154 Posted July 9, 2018 Report Share Posted July 9, 2018 Welcoming Committee: The welcoming committee is a team of individuals within a Division that all share the goal of helping new members learn about KSI, and getting them involved with the community. The committee members are to be well diversified between all squads within the Division, ranging from 1 to 2 members per squad. All members must be knowledgeable, approachable, well known and respected throughout their Division. The goal of a Welcoming Representative will be to teach all new recruits about the ins and outs of KSI, as well as informing these recruits of simple procedures, including but not limited to: Forums usage Web-Ops Join/Re-join processes Divisional sections Weekend Warfare Chain of Command Mission: The Welcoming Representatives mission is to bridge the gap between disconnected and or new members, and to also make all members feel welcomed by keeping them active within KSI. This committee will be outgoing and proactive in its approach to communicate and make sure all new members who join KSI are well informed. This team is used to integrate all members with their divisions and squad by continuing the orientation process initiated by officers. Objectives: Establish communication with new and disconnected members. Provide more insight and knowledge about KSI and the day-to-day functions of the new members’ respective squad and division. Maintain contact with new members and attempt to contact inactive ones until the individual is actively involved within their division and squad. Welcoming Representative Requirements: Individual must be the rank of Sergeant, Staff Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain. Individual must be known throughout their squad. Individual must be friendly and welcoming to all. Welcoming Representative Duties: Keep track of current recruits within their squad and actively send invites and messages to all new members. Send messages out to other squad members welcoming the new recruit. Encourage member involvement with all KSI events. I will bring a level of enthusiasm and spunk that is currently missing from the committee What has your KSI experience been? Please explain in depth. As a captain it was part of my duties to welcome and play with new members to get them orientated with the squad. How often are you available to complete the duties of a Welcoming Representative? I like making people feel welcome, plus it will force me to be a bit more social and active within ksi. What has your KSI experience been? Please explain in depth. it's a bit rocky, which is why I want to try and make others first experience not quite like mine if I can help it. How often are you available to complete the duties of a Welcoming Representative? weekdays after 430 5 PM mountain and weekends usually all day. Do you consider yourself to be approachable and outgoing? approachable? Yeah I would like to think so. outgoing? Not so much, but I'm working on trying to fix it. I want to be more outgoing. Although new, I have learned much of the KSI training methods, traditions and have comprehended the teachings from the workshops, I believe I would be a value member because my previous membership in KSI I was a General, I know both spectrums whether it be being the guy trying to get promoted or being the boss and running a tight ship. I believe I would be a valued member in introducing entry level teachings to the new recruit or trying to reclaim lost members. What has your KSI experience been? Please explain in depth. Previously I was a General, but I don’t believe this is my main feature. I am a Sergeant and my role in the squad is to play with the members or my squad and to encourage activity, I don’t see how this could be any different to what i do everyday anyways. I know if added to this community I could raise the morale of new recruits by being patient and attentive with the members. How often are you available to complete the duties of a Welcoming Representative? Everyday no problem. Do you consider yourself to be approachable and outgoing? I defiantly do. At first not so good but then I got transferred to a more welcoming squad that included its members and made people feel welcome and a year later I'm still here How often are you available to complete the duties of a Welcoming Representative? Well I read what the committee is about and honestly I already do a lot of that. I have already been helping out recruits and making sure they get acuainted with others and feel welcome and always show them the ropes and make sure they get invites and make new friends. I really enjoy doing this and helping people feel welcome i feel like I'm good at it and I have a really great personality to do this. What has your KSI experience been? Please explain in depth.i am currently getting back into it I am a SSG in hellcat FI. Back in 2012 I was a cofounder of DR along with Airborne, Fadez, and who is now KSI Flicky 7. I have split 3 squads as a general. Overall I have had a great KSI expireice. I have met so many great people some of which I have been friends with for over 7 years and I cherish these friendships. How often are you available to complete the duties of a Welcoming Representative? I am on every other weekend due to work but they are 3 day weekends. Weeks that I am not able to be on on the weekend I am on the Sunday before and wednsday and Thursday. I always try to use everything available to me to spread the word about new members and promotions so I am not afraid to use media's to help the new recruits feel welcome and meet people! When I was first joined it was a very nice experience the people around me are the reason I am the person I am today i dont like to give up and i know what i am worth from my experience.
