If you share accounts or Xbox's with another individual, you will need to explain to them NOT to speak or harass any member of KSI from your account. If applicable ask the other individual to place your account on Appearing Offline or Do Not Disturb so they won't receive any contact from KSI individuals while on your account. In the Event any of your accounts are hacked and you can not access them, you need to notify your Divisional 7's staff immediately. Any Clan Ops accounts such as Squad Tags or Omega Account should only be access by You, if found otherwise you will be subject to immediate disciplinary action. Member Retention Every rank from RCT all the way up is important. SGTs to PVTS get lost within the day to day doings of the community. Officers and Members of the community it is our job to make sure all members are being invited to all activities within the squad and division. If there is a member that you haven’t spoken to in a while, reach out and see what is going on and get them back active with the squad and division Location and Bio Please remember that to identify a member in KSI they should have an accurate location and bio which represents our "Uniform" in Clan Ops. Locations should be free of any spelling errors and all characters should be capitalized Bios should contain Recruitment info followed by PVT promotion which should be followed up by all subsequent promotions. This information should be the FIRST thing in a member's bio, if they wish to have other information that can go AFTER the KSI information. Bio info should be free of spelling errors and information should identifiable by everyone (privacy settings) . Embracing Change KSI is changing everyday. With new leaders being promoted and our way of doing things changing we all have to learn to accept it. Becoming a 7 for the first time can be hard and challenging. Having to take yourself out of the squad you help build and become the leader your division and KSI needs you to be. As leaders putting out new changes to things such as RCTing, TRNing, and whatever else we change can and is sometimes met with push back. Be encouraging to your team, help them grow with the change but also encourage feedback. What’s working and what’s not working, open that line of communication. Pass that info up to your Dir so they can put it on a bigger table. At the end of the day we are all a TEAM and this will only get better if we all work together. Being Vigilant As the number of issues and members leaving and joining TSB we as a community need to be vigilant. Pay attention to party invites that you receive. Make sure you check people out before joining parties. When your members are RCTing be sure they are taking their time and really looking at their RCT. TSB and other communities will try anything to get at KSI. Also be sure that your members and officers are passing any info to the 7s team so they can put it out across the community. Stay focused on KSI and keep being the leaders your divisions need. If you or anyone has questions please reach out to your officers or 7s. Work Together Sometimes situations come up that might require help. Don't be afraid to accept help. When others offer to help it's not that they think you can't handle it but they want to help. Working together makes the workload lighter and everyone can continue to do their part. Invites When hosting game nights make certain to invite everyone from the club not just those that are online. Sometimes people appear offline for one reason or another and might forget to appear back online. If we see someone online by themselves we can invite them for an unofficial game night just to hang out. Making people feel welcome just like we were. This can go a long way to keeping our friends around. Department Ops Productions The July Clip Submission and Upload Studio Montage Competition close on Monday, July 27th at 11:59pm EST. Ronin did great things over his 8 year career and is a great friend and mentor to alot. Obviously losing Ronin is a big hit to the community and he will be missed. We wish him luck in his future endeavors and hold no ill will against him. Going forward the directors will be brought up into board meetings/chats to increase clan ops representation on the board level. To quell any rumours making the rounds we're merging into another community -just to clarify we are not merging with anyone. If anything like that was ever to happen it would be open to the whole community for opinions and discussion. A decision like that would never be made without community input. Any questions please feel free to reach out to your 7s/Directors or the board. Thank you for your patience. KSI Board of Directors Be Safe With recent events involving individuals outside of KSI harassing our members, make sure you are taking precautions. Don't accept any invite to a party from someone you DON'T know or just double check by looking at their profile information before joining. Don't respond to messages from these sams individuals and any contact they make screenshot it and report it to your 7's staff. Communication Communication is and will always be our biggest tool we as leaders have. Remember not only communicating to our leaders is important but communicating to our members is also just as important. Having that open door with leaders and members make the TEAM work better and build better. Keeping Positive When we as leaders (officers on up) are dealing with issues. Make certain that we are not venting towards or creating an air of negativity. It is our responsibility, as leaders within the community to handle and address issues as they come up. Doing the “behind the scenes work” should never impact our members and their gaming experience. It is with a heavy heart that I am officially announcing my retirement from KSI. In the last 3 ½ years I have had the pleasure of being in a lot of different aspects of KSI in all 3 Operations whether it was Department head of Productions, Director in Clan Ops, Forums Moderator in Web Ops. I also got the chance to create some cool things for the community like Divisional Hall of Fame and Critical Thinking 201’s. Hell, I was even given the opportunity to overhaul the Education Section. Good bad or ugly , i gave this community everything i had and i hoped while stepping away that even a small bit of KSI got better than when i joined. If you knew me at all you know my motto, Make the Next Generation better than I ever was, and through some people like my Mentor and Brother Ronin Shocklord As well as, Grunt, Tex Angel, Swag 77, Rogue 7, DC 7, Kakashii 77, The Entire DM 7’s staff (DntAsk, Shockr, Joe, Romeo) as well as shout out to Uppish, DrPepper, Asuma, Deathwish (77 gang!) and the Web Ops Join/GSM Mods, i feel like i left a mark i can be proud of. To my Home Division Sovereign Legacy, I am proud of where it is at and the journey i got to be apart of to get it there (If you Div split.... Royal Ascension.... We will never force anyone to be an officer rather as leaders we can try ways to motivate those who have at least thought about stepping up. Recruiting workshops & CEP workshops are ideal events to host to help introduce what is required of an officer. If people approach you or your officers about the possibility of stepping up then do your best to assist them. For members who want more information about becoming an officer please contact your officer staff and/or general for more information. KSI Hydra Chat Standard Procedure Moving forward if any problems come up involving Hydra please report the information including proof up the chain of command to your Division Leader. The div leader will then inform their director and they will pass the proof on to Hydra. They will look into and deal with said person if they are still part of Hydra. Please be patient it might take 48 to 72 hours giving that it involves multiple communities. This will be a new positive step in the right direction towards peace. It might take a little bit of time to work out all the little problems. We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding. Handling Issues If a member comes to an Officer or 7 staff with an issue please allow 24-72 hours for the issue to be handled. Sometimes life gets in the way of handling these things in a timely manner. After the 72 hour mark reach out to the Officer that you first contacted. If you reach out with no luck then and only then go to the next rank in line. Although the 7s are a last resort to reach out to they are still there to help resolve any issues. We encourage all members to follow the Chain of Command. Communication Please remember to always communicate any and all concerns that you might have with your officer staff. If something doesn't seem right and you are not certain ask someone AKA an officer higher than you to bring it to their attention. If they don't know that there is a problem then they can't fix it. This can lead to bigger problems if it's not addressed early it can cause a snowball effect and grow fast. Being a TEAM within your divisions has to be as big of a deal as COMMUNICATION is. Working together as a team makes the workload lighter but it also shows a united front. If the 7s staff communicates with the GENs and makes them feel like the bigger picture amazing things can happen. But please understand the final say and path of the division is in the hands of the 7 staff but having info from everyone helps make these decisions better for the division. New Hydra Outline Part 1 Community Update: September 1, 2020 As of today the Hydra communities, TSB, XDG and RGN, are no longer Blacklisted by our organization. Their current status has been changed to a Do Not Hire, or DNH. This means that by community standards, and provided that our CoC is maintained, you may communicate and game with members of these communities should you choose to. If any issues arise from any interactions with the aforementioned groups, you are to report the incident up the Chain of Command. That being said, anyone who chooses to associate with individuals from other communities still must hold themselves to the standard of our CoC. You need to remain professional and respectful as well. If someone on our end is found being the cause of an issue, it will also be handled. Civility is key. This does NOT mean you HAVE to join parties with, associate with or game with Hydra members if you choose not to. For those that are willing, they will be able to. If you are contacted by someone you do not wish to communicate with please remain professional in any messages, replies, or parties. Just because you climb in rank does not make you better then the members below or above you. The only thing that changes as you climb in rank, is the addition of more responsibilities to the ones you already have. Be the leader that your divisions and KSI needs each of you to be. Communication Please remember to always communicate any and all concerns that you might have with your officer staff. If something doesn't seem right and you are not certain ask someone AKA an officer higher than you to bring it to their attention. If they don't know that there is a problem then they can't fix it. This can lead to bigger problems if it's not addressed early it can cause a snowball effect and grow fast. Being a TEAM within your divisions has to be as big of a deal as COMMUNICATION is. Working together as a team makes the workload lighter but it also shows a united front. If the 7s staff communicates with the GENs and makes them feel like the bigger picture amazing things can happen. But please understand the final say and path of the division is in the hands of the 7 staff but having info from everyone helps make these decisions better for the division. New Hydra Outline Part 1 Community Update: September 1, 2020 As of today the Hydra communities, TSB, XDG and RGN, are no longer Blacklisted by our organization. Their current status has been changed to a Do Not Hire, or DNH. This means that by community standards, and provided that our CoC is maintained, you may communicate and game with members of these communities should you choose to. If any issues arise from any interactions with the aforementioned groups, you are to report the incident up the Chain of Command. That being said, anyone who chooses to associate with individuals from other communities still must hold themselves to the standard of our CoC. You need to remain professional and respectful as well. If someone on our end is found being the cause of an issue, it will also be handled. Civility is key. This does NOT mean you HAVE to join parties with, associate with or game with Hydra members if you choose not to. For those that are willing, they will be able to. Please reach out to your Divisional 7s Staff if you interested in joining server Building a Strong Foundation When we are out RCTing and growing our squads and divisions remember to always look for QUALITY RCTs. Those new RCTs can be the future of the squad and KSI. Finding quality gamers that want to have fun but also become a leader in your DIVs and squads. As you are RCTing new members don’t forget the members you already have. Building your squads is not only about building your officer staff. Without our CPLs and SGTs we would not have squads or divisions to lead. Enduring the Hard Times Pushing through this tough time in the world right now is affecting everyone in one way or another. So as we move forward the best we all can PLEASE remember that when your members or officers come to you for some kind of support. Be the leader they are reaching for and asking for. So be supportive and compassionate and most of all understanding, so if they need to take a LOA inform your 7 staff and allow it. If they come to the end of their LOA and still need time or something, tell them to communicate with the 7s staff and we will go from there. Being the Leader Your Division and KSI Needs Sometimes when things get tough in a squad or division you start to see the real leaders. Every leader in KSI has at one time or another picked themselves and their squads or divisions up off the ground. At that point there are two kinds of people/leaders. There is the leader that will brush off the dirt and say f this I’m out. Then there is the leader that will hurt for a few days, and then put their feet on the ground and stand up and go to work. It is up to you as leaders and members to figure out which one you are. Every leader in KSI from squad level to the Board of Directors has fallen down. It is at that very moment you decide how to stand up and fight back. Listen to the leaders around you and lean on leaders when you need help that is what we are all for. There is no truer statement then “TEAM work makes the dream work”. Everyone should be working together with their staff and making sure that the day to day operations are being fulfilled. WE ARE A TEAM we're not just here to kick back and let everyone else do all the work while we watch and play games KSI Community Server If you haven’t already please come join the KSI Community Server, this server is to give a line of communication to all members to reach out to one another in all Division. Please reach out to your Divisional 7s Staff if you interested in joining server No Fast Tracking The rank structure is set up so that nobody moves up to fast before they are ready. In the past certain rules were broken/bent but this is a new age for KSI. The minimum time at each rank it's not a guideline or a suggestion; they are in fact rules that everyone has to follow. Two weeks minimum in KSI/the Division to become a SSGT. Then they have to be a SSGT for 2 weeks minimum and then 2 weeks as LT and 2 weeks as a CPT. Then 2 months minimum 3 months preferred as GEN. There are no exceptions or any fast tracking permitted even if they're a former GEN or 7. We all follow the rules no matter our rank just as we all agreed to follow the Code Of Conduct. The Holidays Are Upon Us As we start to approach the last two months of the year we start to slow down a little bit. RCTing will slow till Christmas so use this time to connect with your members, and educate your officer team. These next few months are the best time to work on your team and build your bond. A strong team can benefit the squad as well as the division. Also remember to log in to your Omega’s, it gets hard to remember when we slow down. The Hydra DNH As of November 1 2020 the DNH will drop for ALL divisions across KSI. Any member can chat and add Hydra to the friends list. Please remember NO ONE HAS TO PLAY OR CHAT with anyone in Hydra if they DO NOT want to. We know this is a bit ahead of schedule but things are moving well and KSI wants to finish the year strong.
