Personally I feel that the award should not be given at this time. First of all the idea is too new to know how it will pan out. It may seem like a good idea now, however when the "newness" wears off it may just become another section on the forums that doesn't get used much. I believe that if an individual is wanting to join a specific department it would make more sense for them to apply in that department's section of the forums, ie how we put in applications in the AAP section when we all applied. Second reason I don't think it should be awarded at this time is it isn't really used widely in KSI, it's just a section on the forums at this point. To me something widely used in KSI would be used by the majority of the divisions, where as this is a section on the forums. To me a section like this only makes sense if all departments are always looking for new members, otherwise it would make more sense for the specific departments that are hiring to post that up in their section.

Although the section may make it easier for the members to access, it wasn't ever hard to find where to apply in the past. You know a department is hiring, look in that section of the forums and apply directly to that department.

 

The last thing I have on this is that I wouldn't necessarily call this a "new idea", since applications to departments have been used I view the idea as the section on the forums. The idea to create a section on the forums for this doesn't seem to me like a "bright idea", however just taking an old idea of having applications on the forums and moving them to one location. That's just how I look at it.

As I stated, it also keeps the clutter down in each department. Plus it gives those of us that are department heads an easier way to check to see who has applied for what without having to search the entire forums. It's much more simple.

I don't normally get on the forums on the weekends... Pretty sure I got all caught up today though

So for this nomination... I went through G14 squad logs and it appears that they have added about the same number of new members as they have been removing for "fluff". Since Paragon (the new squad) is only at 41 members I would say no on this award. One key reason that I feel this way is that numbers should not include fluff since they aren't active members. I figured I would bring this up in here opposed to posting that information on the nomination thread. I'll vote on it once staff vote is asked for.

I already voted no based on what your findings. I completely agree that they should not be including fluff.

Good job on the squad splitter award guys. If people argue with the staff, please clearly state that to argue with the staff risks the nomination being closed, especially if it's not their first time.

Killer King is beginning to argue more and more, once more and he will receive a final warning from myself. 

Also on a side note: please note down any witnesses you notice are in a position to witness for awards but are loosing their credibility, I have noticed a few recently.

On to other things. After double checking the emergency backups from when AAP was down, I believe that we need to get back to the bright idea nomination we have pending. Any last thoughts or discussion? If not, please post your vote here and I'll take care of the rest

As for the "bright idea" award, I still stand with what I said previously. The "join department area" is a great idea and will be used heavily. It keeps the apps more organized and easier to access for members.

Alright guys, I am back. I will not come into full swing on looking into AAP things for a few days, as I have had some circumstances change and need to sort a few things out. However the first order of business is that we shall extend Staff applications for a longer period of time. I dont want my hands tied while looking into getting staff and 6 applicants ties me up a bit.

If you can all do me a favour and poke some people you think would be good in the program to the applications, I would greatly appreciate it.
