Tomorrow (Or Today if your seeing it on Wednesday) I will be hosting a Game night on GTA 5. This will be full of fun stuff, Races, Deathmatches, Free mode fun, and objective based games. If all of this sounds fun to you, then you should get @ 6pm est on Wednesday (which could be today for you or tomorrow) and note, this will sadly only be on the Xbox 360, but I would love to see a lot of people come. Throughout life, there are going to be certain qualities, learned or taught, that are highly sought after by leaders, for leaders. Those particular leaderships qualities are respect, empathy, bravery, trustworthiness, and communication. Respect Respect is a very important thing in every environment, and a very important aspect of every leader. Showing someone that you work with or around that you respect them, simply with your choice of words or actions, Being funny and making jokes is okay, especially if you know that person on a personal level, and know they won’t feel disrespected. Always pay attention to the severity of the words you use, and the tone of your voice when speaking to people, regardless of rank or title. Empathy The ability to put yourself in others’ shoes is looked very highly upon, both professionally and personally. Getting to know the people you work with and knowing what they have been through, and visa versa, strengthens relationships, making teamwork just so much more feasible. Many people walk different paths of life, and have been through different situations and circumstances. We all have our soft spots and trigger words or scenarios. Part of building a team is learning these soft spots and ensuring that we do not cross those lines with each other. Handling scenarios as a leader does require empathy. The only way to forge a bright path for the people that you are leading is by relating to each other and understanding that we all make mistakes and learn from them. Bravery Speak your mind! Tell people what you expect from them. Have the guts to put your foot down and be a leader, give direction, purpose, motivation. Do not be afraid to tell someone if you believe that something is wrong. Regardless of the situation, if you notice that something is wrong, say something. If you have a leader talking down about other leaders, speak up about it. If you have a friend who is upset about the way they were spoken to, speak up about it. Trustworthiness My personal motto is “Speak the truth.” Problems are created with lies and pent up frustrations. Do your job! If you are asked to do something, get it done. Be on time. As a leader, timeliness and reliability are extremely important. Communication Tell people when you have problems or questions. Better to ask and look like a fool for a minute than to not ask and suffer the consequences. Let the people you work with know what you have done so that all bases are covered. Talk to the people who work with or underneath you on a regular basis to maintain a steady relationship. We have a big year ahead of us and rough, but mostly successful year behind us. As we look ahead we see the writing on the that Xbox is leaving us behind on the Xbox 360, but until they Poop it down, we'll be there for as long as we're needed. In the mean time we also share our focus on the new frontier of Xbox with the Xbox ONE. The Xbox ONE and maybe games are giving us a break with their innovations bringing gamers together across the multiplayer platforms. Now has never been a better time to be KSI and now has never been a better time to make your legacy with the many of opportunity provided by both Xbox Live and KSI. I am excited to say we are going five to six years strong on Call of Duty Black Ops II and look forward to the day I can tell you that Call of Duty Black Ops II will be remastered for the next gen console; unfortunately that's not today. What is exciting is that we are about a week away from an all new Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare AND the remastered Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare! These are our future into 2017 and leading the way for KSI! Now is the time to be certain you've taken the time to refresh you and your fellow members in training and education on policies and procedures and if necessary adapted to the changes affected by your upgrade to the Xbox one console. New to DL in the recent year or two is Destiny, and is doing quite well. Destiny is another cornerstone and game changer for DL. Destiny recently released its third year DLC The Rise of Iron. Destiny is great for small teams while still providing the tools necessary for a squad to game together and succeed. It's Halo meets Call of Duty in a post apocalyptic future whereas it's your responsibility to cleanse the galaxy of the Darkness as you travel from the likes of Earth known as the cosmodrome in old Russia, the Earths Moon, Venus, Mars, and even the Rings of Saturn! If you having any questions regarding your squad, division, policy, KSI's SOP, or training and Education feel free to utilize the Chain of Command and build together with your leadership the knowledge and understanding to succeed and have fun! In he mean time DONT FORGET DL Bowl this sunday 7pm EST 6pm CST; we will have an honors night followed by a five or six team ground war and multi lobby game night to follow for the fun of it!
