Cleaning Up Recruit/Squad Clubs & Tags: 

Please ensure that members promoted to PVT are being removed from your Recruit Club/Tag. When members are promoted to PVT, please ensure that they are being added to their squad club/tag at the time of the promotion or shortly after. This is to ensure that your tag is always up to date and accurate. This will also ensure that recruits are being promoted, and you are fluffing anyone overdue for promotion as they may no longer be interested in KSI. Generals and 7’s staff should work in unison to ensure that their clubs/tags are accurate andclean. 

 

Professionalism: 

Please remember that in this community, we highly value respect between members regardless of rank or stature. It is important that during normal conversation (and specifically when having an issue with a member or leader) that professional tones and languages are maintained. Leaders: Just because you have a rank doesn't mean you can talk to members however youplease. Members: Although you do not have a rank to lose, you are a member of this community and thus will show respect to each other. Any violations of respect or unprofessionalism should be reported to the proper chain of command.  

Member Retention 

Every rank from RCT all the way up are important! Too often do we see CPLS and PVTS getting lost within the daily doings of the community. As leaders and members of the community it is our job to ensure all members are being included in all activities within the squad anddivision. If there is a member you think you haven'tspoken too for a while, reach out to them, see what'shappening.

Poaching

Please remember that poaching other people doesn’t just apply to other communities it also applies to your fellow KSI members. Sometimes we might hear our fellow members from another squad or DIV complaining about being unhappy. When this happens we can offer the advice of talking to their General. A lot of times the General doesn’t know that your not happy and given the chance they might be able to help improve your KSI experience. It’s not 

Training Officers/Potential Officers - 

Please make sure when training SGT and/or trainingSSGT - CPT , that you are covering every aspect of what is expected of an officer. Utilize all the educational materials at your disposal such as Recruiting workshops, CEP workshops etc. This will allow you to ensure that the next generation of officers are being prepped and trained properly and that will create the foundation that you squad and division can use to build upon for long term success. (Workshops can be found in the “Performance Operations and CDC” section on the main page of the forums; use the sub-section to find the CEP workshops or contact your PO rep)

 

Back to School Time -

Just a reminder school is starting all across the country so with that in mind please be understanding of our school age members. Make sure they understand that communication is the biggest tool. Let them know that they need to inform their officers of their sport schedules and any other schedules anyone has. 

 

Trust and Truth -

Part of being a member of KSI is having Integrity. A large Part in having a successful squad is always telling thetruth and trusting that those officers above you can help out. We know that trust has to be earned (as it should be) but it is important to remember that those above you have been through said situation or know someone that can help. Withholding information hoping that it gets better or that I can quietly fix it later before someone notices is not healthy. Officers are here to help and can only help if they know what’s going on.

Communication -

It is important to keep in constant and open communication with your fellow officers. The officer staff can and should be a cohesive unit working to solve any and all problems that might arise. It is crucial that you maintain open communication by posting in your perspective officer chats, private messages or by getting in party's together. You guys and gals are a team and should always be working together toward the greater good for your squad/division. To be patient with each other and work together toward a common goal of betterCommunication with everyone.

Squad notes:

• the squad is rebuilding again which is great, I appreciate everyone who is trying to recruit, if any members would like to learn how to recruit or know anyone that would like to be recruited in then please contact an officer
• please remember C.o.C. applies in the discord and in parties, I know when gamenights are going on with loads of people are attending things can get quite heated. So please when attending gamenights and being In big parties to try and not talk over each other, trash talking is kept to a minimum and please be respectful of the host of the parties and game nights. This could cause people to leave the parties and sometimes cause people to leave the community. If anyone sees this being an issue moving forward please contact an officer or the general and we will address the issue. This also applies in our discord
• if anyone would like to host a game night to host a game night who is not an officer then please contact KSI THEZOHAN or the gen and we will make it happen.
• once again please don’t join any parties of people you don’t know or don’t recognise as they are most like likely BL communities that will try to boot you offline, we care for every member of the squad and make sure you’re safety and experience in KSI is always a good one.
• we are still trying to get more people active in our discord, if anyone is not in the discord or are having trouble navigating the discord then please contact an officer and we will help with you that also.

Posting Sign Ups On The Forums: 

When posting a sign ups on the forums for ANY event in KSI, please remember you can edit them until the cut-off. So with that being said DO NOT message a member of T&E or a Sr Leader to delete your post. Simply go back to your post and slap the edit button and make your changes. FYI you can edit any post you make on the forums. 

KSI Survey:

Send your members and officers to the forums and participate in the KSI Survey. This is a survey to put your thoughts out to the community and leaders. Be honest with your answers and give information that could and will help KSI to the future. 

Reaching Out

Sometimes when being an officer within the community situations can come up that you may not have the knowledge or abilities to handle. There is no shame in reaching out to someone to ask a question or get some advice. There are many people within the community with a plethora of knowledge and advice they can share with you! Don't be afraid to reach out.

Positive Morale 

Please make sure that we are always providing a positive environment for all our members. Sometimes there is a big focus on members who have a desire to be an officer or is in the process of becoming an officer and not to say we ignore the rest but we should ensure they are getting just as much attention. Giving shout outs to your members during squad meetings, encouraging SGT to host their own game nights;Ultimately just spending time specifically at some point during the week with your CPL and your PVT not just your SGT or higher.

Be Happy

Please remember to have fun and be happy with what your doing with KSI. Whether your being an officer or a member remember that it is your KSI experience and it's important to remember to balance ones responsibility that we take on and to remember to have fun and be happy with our time in KSI. If we are all work and no play then it can be easy to forget the reason why we joined KSI in the first place. Always try to take some time for yourselves and find a balance between work and play. 

Yearly Events: 

Just a reminder we have 2 more major events this year. With that said let's start talking to our members and getting a line on players. We all know Halo is a game that is and will be played at every event. Remember this is a VOLUNTARY community and we as leaders can not and will not force our members to participate in these or any events. 

Get Involved

Did you know that you can get Division points for chatting in your respective Divisional chat. It's an easy way to earn points and have some fun with your fellow KSI members. While your there you can do some exploring you never know what you might find. There's a lot of good info on the forums and if your having problems navigating the forums there’s a new forums workshop with a new award if your interested ask your officers about it.

Event Channels

Event channels for every Divisions Discord will be up and running within the next 48 hours.

Fluff: 

As our Divisions Leaders it our responsibility to make sure our squads are actively fluffing. Send out a message and give them a few days to respond. If no response after 3 day then send another message stating they only have x amount of hours till they are fluff. This process should take 7 days from the first message to the last fluff message.

AAP Department Notes

AAP Department Staff Applications will be open until September 20th, please apply in the Join a Department section of the forums if interested.

Divisional Hall of Fame Nominations for the Fall Classic 2019 period are open until September 13th. When nominating someone, please check to make sure they meet all the requirements prior to nomination. The requirements are:

           -Must currently be in the division they are being nominated for.

           -Must be in the division for at least six (6) months.

           -Must be in KSI for at least one (1) year.

           -Not been blacklisted, security risked, or DNH’ed unless successfully appealed and overturned.

           -Must have KSI gamertag.

Divisional Leadership, AAP Divisional Of the Months will open on September 13th and run until September 27th. Please make sure to participate and get your members recognized for their outstanding contributions to your respective division.

Transparency 

Divisional & Squad Leadership - Please remember that although every decision may not be one open for discussion/debate, It is important to be as transparent as possible with the leaders and members beneath you. When making decisions about what direction a squad/division heads in or any promotions/demotions that may be received, It is important to keep those under you informed as to why these things are happening and why certain decisions are made. The ultimate way to reach a feeling of inclusion and family is for people to have their thoughts and feelings are taken into consideration.

 

Blacklisted/Security Risked Communities

Please remember that members and communities designated as Blacklisted (or Security Risked) are on a strict no contact policy. This means you are not to message them on any platform, join their parties and have discussions, etc. These individuals are designated as blacklisted for a specific reason; mainly it is to ensure the safety and security of all our members and the community as a whole. If a member of these communities reaches out to you , you are to screenshot the message , block the individual and report it to your Divisional 7’s staff. Please remember to always check who is inviting you before joining a party; Check Gamerscore, Following/Followers, if they are in your squad clubs, etc. Be Safe!

Omega Sign Ins 

Please make sure that you and your staff are signing into the omega. There should be no reason why multiple 7's and generals are going offline for 4, 6 or even 7 days. Please remember that we do get notified when you are off for 4 days and when you hit 7 you will serve a rank suspension.

 

NEW GAMES OCTOBER & Be Careful: 

This month we will be enjoying 2 new games being released on Xbox, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare & Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: BreakPoint. Recruiting tends to be very active especially with the new Call of Duty dropping. As always, make sure we are looking for active individuals with good personalities and be aware of any potential blacklist or security risk individuals trying to sneak into KSI. WE ARE INVITE ONLY community, if you are reached out to about getting recruited; direct that individual to join/rejoin section on the forums. 

 

Fall Classic Winners 

Division Leaders those that won 1-3 place for your divisions. On the ops server under claim prizes there will be new channels created in the next couple days to claim your winnings. 

 

Fall classic over 

With another fun and exciting fall classic behind us it's time to get back to business as usual by getting back in our usual routines and having fun playing games, recruiting, promotions etc…

 

Encouragement: 

Remember we as leaders are looked up to by our members and officers, so taking 5 min to give a member or officer a good job goes a long way. Asking and not demanding is such a better way to get your Div moving in the right direction. An officer telling a RCTing member that they did a great job on there last RCT can lead to more positive growth. Kindness and communication is a great tool for our members and each other.
 

Join Area 

Please make sure your members, officers, and generals know that the join area is for 7's usage only. There should be no reason why anyone besides the 7 staff of that respective division is posting. 

 

Teamwork

Teamwork is key to success. Everyone should be working together with their staff and making sure that the day to day operations are being fulfilled. If someone or multiple people are struggling, reach out and see what you can do to help. WE ARE A TEAM we're not just here to kick back and let everyone else do all the work while we watch and play games. Security Checks  

Please remember to do security checks on your members at least once a month. As people come into the community or leave the community sometimes you see some individuals on your members friends list that need to be removed (referring to blacklist or security risked members). This will help keep your division secure and safe.

 

Communication 

It is important to keep in constant and open communication with your fellow officers. The officer staff can and should be a cohesive unit working to solve any and all problems that might arise. It is crucial that you maintain open communication by posting in your perspective officer chats, private messages or by getting in party's together. You guys and gals are a team and should always be working together toward the greater good for your squad/division. To be patient with each other and work together toward a common goal of better Communication with everyone.

 

Teamwork 

Teamwork is key to success. Everyone should be working together with their staff and making sure that the day to day operations are being fulfilled. If someone or multiple people are struggling, reach out and see what you can do to help. WE ARE A TEAM we're not just here to kick back and let everyone else do all the work while we watch and play games. 

 

Transparency 

Divisional & Squad Leadership - Please remember that although every decision may not be one open for discussion/debate, It is important to be as transparent as possible with the leaders and members beneath you. When making decisions about what direction a squad/division heads in or any promotions/demotions that may be received, It is important to keep those under you informed as to why these things are happening and why certain decisions are made. The ultimate way to reach a feeling of inclusion and family is for people to have their thoughts and feelings are taken into consideration.

Blacklisted/Security Risked Communities

Please remember that members and communities designated as Blacklisted (or Security Risked) are on a strict no contact policy. This means you are not to message them on any platform, join their parties and have discussions, etc. These individuals are designated as blacklisted for a specific reason; mainly it is to ensure the safety and security of all our members and the community as a whole. If a member of these communities reaches out to you , you are to screenshot the message , block the individual and report it to your Divisional 7’s staff. Please remember to always check who is inviting you before joining a party; Check Gamerscore, Following/Followers, if they are in your squad clubs, etc. Be Safe!

This month we will be enjoying 2 new games being released on Xbox, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare & Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: BreakPoint. Recruiting tends to be very active especially with the new Call of Duty dropping. As always, make sure we are looking for active individuals with good personalities and be aware of any potential blacklist or security risk individuals trying to sneak into KSI. WE ARE INVITE ONLY community, if you are reached out to about getting recruited; direct that individual to join/rejoin section on the forums.


Encouragement 

Remember we as leaders are looked up to by our members and officers, so taking 5 min to give a member or officer a good job goes a long way. Asking and not demanding is such a better way to get your Div moving in the right direction. An officer telling a RCTing member that they did a great job on there last RCT can lead to more positive growth. Kindness and communication is a great tool for our members and each other.
 

Join Area

Please make sure your members, officers, and generals know that the join area is for 7's usage only. There should be no reason why anyone besides the 7 staff of that respective division is posting. 

 

New Log Channel (Gens and up) 

You might have noticed a new useful channel in Discord server. It is an audit log of all deleted/edited messages. This channel Will help the Gens and 7's staff maintain and monitor what happens in their prospective server. If something was said in a channel but you were busy or at work this channel let's you know exactly what was said so that appropriate action can be taken to ensure a better KSI experience for all the members. 

Posting of screen shots and other info that needs to be filed for the division can be posted in this channel as well. I think it will be easier to look back on them and find them. Also GENs and up are the only ones with access.

Please remember when you send members to join/rejoin area to post an application , the following things are completed:

Member must create a forum account. If they already have a forums account they must use that to post application. Invite only parties 

It is important to remember that during peak hours officers should not be in invite only parties. It sets a bad precedent for our members and might make them think that we don’t want to include them. Sometimes we have to be in invite only parties for meetings and lockdowns but for the most part we can and should be in open party's interacting with other people.That is the reason why we joined KSI.

 

Member Retention 

Every rank from RCT all the way up is important! Too often do we see CPLs and PVTs getting lost within the daily doings of the community. As leaders and members of the community it is our job to ensure all members are being included in all activities within the squad and division. If there is a member you haven't spoken too or seen in a squad meeting for a while, reach out to them, see what's happening. Ask them what kind of games and activities they want to see in the squad.

Clan OPS Notes:

Reporting Issues: 

Members and officers encountering issues that need to go up the chain of command need to be sure they are going up. Having an issue in the ranks of your division and not reporting it to the leadership can and will become very toxic. Withholding issues because “I did not want to say anything” is a problem and needs to be corrected immediately. We don't want it to wait and fester. Instead we want to get ahead of any issues and correct any issues before they become big issues resulting in rank suspension or removal from KSI. Waiting until an issue gets to where squads and divisions are losing members and officers is not healthy. 

Turkey Bowl & Holidays 

This year has been a long one for most of us but we have roughly 2 more months left to finish strong. Keep in mind we have Turkey Bowl coming up in late November (11/29/19) so be sure to spread the word and get your members signed up! Also with the holiday season coming in full swing, let’s make sure we are gaming and having fun with each other and head into 2020 with high morale and excitement for a new year of GAMING!!!!

Support Each Other 

As a member  it’s important to show support for your fellow officers. If a fellow officer is hosting a game night / meeting  and your online either by yourself or with fellow squad mates you can and should join the game night / meeting and bring others with you. We all know what it’s like to have no one show up to a game night / meeting but we can support each other, we’re all in this together

Be respectful 

Please remember that all of us come from different walks of life. Please treat everyone with dignity and respect that you would like to be shown. Also you should know your audience and if someone doesn't like where the conversation is going or if you step over the line you can apologize and move on to a different subject. Remember we are all here to game and have fun with like minded individuals.

There is nothing wrong with dating a fellow KSI member we can't help who we fall for. It is important that if officers enter into a relationship with a member or fellow officer no matter the squad both are in. It is always a good idea to let your Gen or 7's staff know about said relationship. You don't have to go into details just have to say "hey im dating so and so" that way if there is any drama that might affect the squad or division , then the GEN or 7's staff can get ahead of the situation.

Mentoring: 

Please remember to mentor our officers correctly and effectively. These future leaders depend on us to help them and guide them to be successful in the future for KSI. The biggest part of being a leader in this community is to be approachable and humble but also being the leader they and your members need. 

We want you! 

Are you interested in becoming an officer? Squads are always looking for more people to help out and give back to this wonderful community. If you have some extra time on your hands becoming an officer is fairly simple. You can host game nights, promote people up maybe even help recruit someone and show them the KSI love. If your interested you can ask one of your officers or your GEN about it. They are always looking for more people to help out and they would certainly appreciate the help. The more helpers the lighter the workload.

Records 

When an incident occurs that results in disciplinary action such as rank suspension, forced demotion or removal from divisions; a record needs to be created for the courts. The purpose behind records is to keep an organized file that can be utilized for future events which can be used to make a decision (mainly in Join/Rejoin section and appeals in Courts).

These should be posted within 24 hours of the incident by the 7s staff member that primarily handled it. Any questions speak to your Director. 

Training and Education 

Please remember that when it comes to being an officer and a leader within KSI, the excuse "Noone ever told me" is not valid. There is a wealth of information throughout the community that you can utilize. For those learning, you have CEP and PO written workshops that are filled with information. For those mentoring or teaching others, keep an eye out on any errors or mistakes being made and turn it into a learning experience. Be active with increasing your knowledge.

Private to CPL:

Please ensure that you are keeping track of your private’s and their promotions. Ideally members who go past the 2 week mark of their CPL promotion eligibility should be sent a message directing them to either get ahold of an officer or they will be fluffed out of the squad. As squads continue to prepare and approach splits, it is ideal that you have NO overdue CPL promotions

New Year New Award Show

Sunday the 19th at 6pm EST the board will be hosting "of the year's award show.  It is a chance for them to announce who was the best of the best at their positions for the year people nominated by members just like you. So we formally invite you to join them in honoring our fellow members and there will be lots of exciting announcements about what's coming up for KSI in the new year/new decade. 

Getting Back To The Grind - 

Now that the holidays are over, it's time to get back to work!!! Divisions and Squads all over KSI need help and work. We all need to work together and build these squads, divisions, and the community. So with that being said let’s get out there and recruit and mentor the future of this community.

We all know that everyone is tired of hearing about COMMUNICATION, but we will continue to push on it till we get through to everyone. From the biggest to the smallest things if they make you question something then push it up the chain of command. If we as leaders and members can not communicate we can not keep our divisions, squads, and community safe. So please be sure to communicate to the ranks of any issues and concerns.

Went over Divisional Notes and our weekly game night and workshop. We also went over our PUBG tournament for this upcoming weekend. We talked about the officer core and what it means to be an officer for those who had mentioned moving up. Online Status:

Please remember that we are an active gaming community that thrives on the ability to communicate and game with each other. This is difficult to do if you appear offline for days at a time or all the time. We ask that you only appear offline if a family member or someone other than yourself is on your XBOX or your on LOA. Abusing the appearing offline option can result in you being deemed inactive or hinder your ability to be a successful member/leader within the community. 
 

Conflict Resolution 

KSI uses a rank structure for our members to use in times where getting communication out is vital. With that being said, when there are bumps in the road, little problems like he/she/ said’s are brought up. It needs to be reported to the next person in your direct chain of command, to prevent more problems for arriving in the future.

 

Support Each Other 

As a member  it’s important to show support for your fellow officers. If a fellow officer is hosting a game night / meeting  and you're online either by yourself or with fellow squad mates you can and should join the game night / meeting and bring others with you. We all know what it’s like to have no one show up to a game night / meeting but we can support each other, we’re all in this together

 

How to handle Harassment 

Unfortunately in the online world, sometimes we may fall prey to toxic individuals' continuous harassment. If you are a victim of harassment, either presently or in the future. Please take screenshots of the offenses, block the individuals. Then, report it to your respective Chain of Command and please allow our leaders to work on these offenses diligently.

Enduring the Hard Times 

Pushing through this tough time in the world right now is affecting everyone in one way or another. So as we move forward the best we all can PLEASE remember that when your members or officers come to you for some kind of support. Be the leader they are reaching for and asking for. So be supportive and compassionate and most of all understanding, so if they need to take a LOA inform your 7 staff and allow it. If they come to the end of their LOA and still need time or something, tell them to communicate with the 7s staff and we will go from there.

On Saturday, April 18th, T&E will be hosting a Brawlhalla Free For All Event. This tournament will be played as a "Stock Brawlhalla" event, meaning the matches will not be timed. The event starts at 8:00pm EST, and sign-ups close promptly two hours before the event starts. (6:00pm EST.)
