If your transfer is not properly labeled, your transfer will be delayed as the divisional leaders will not know you are requesting their division and the necessary approval parties won’t be notified. Personal Life (Officers and up): • Every member of KSI must try and balance everyday life and KSI life. As leaders and members of this community we must ensure we don’t allow our personal life spill out into KSI life. Sometimes in life things come up and it takes a toll on your mind and body. You must know when to take a step back if you feel it is impacting your duties as an officer then speak with the appropriate leadership and take some time. The Rank Structure: • It is imperative that we continue to maintain CoC #5. The rank structure is in place to allow members to report issues and problems to the next appropriate rank. For example: A squad based issue could be handled within the squad, this doesn't need to go straight to the Div Leader. The same goes for the Directors, members shouldn't be going straight to Directors with issues, (Unless they are the Div Leader). We must remember that although we have an 'Open Door Policy' we have a rank structure for a reason. Divisional Issues: • If an issue arises in another Division and you feel it needs to be handled, you must report it to your General or appropriate 7 staff. You must not handle it yourself. Please ensure we are doing things the correct way and following the correct procedures. Venting: • As a member of KSI sometimes situations can get stressful and in some cases irritating. It's important that as members of the community we are venting "Upwards" and not "Downwards". With so many people and so many differences of opinions it is understandable that at times we may butt heads. Please remain professional and if you feel you need to vent a situation out to someone, then you are doing to someone who is not directly involved and not below you in rank. If people are bad mouthing other members and less experienced members hear this, it can leave a 'bad taste'. Please be smart when venting. While on an LOA you must not be active within any clan ops based situations such as Promotions/Demotions, squad meetings and discord chats. People have school and such but in the evenings and weekends when some of your squads are having meetings or workshops people are working. It is also essential that we are ensuring that Privates are being trained and moved up in a timely manner. Once a Private reaches the 2 week period, you need to be asking yourself "Is this person fluff?". It is also just as important we are ensuring all Corporals are active in some capacity and not just fluff. RCTs and RCT Club RCT Clubs need to be maintained and cleaned up. This means that ALL officers LT and up should be on the clubs so they can see when RCTs are ready to train. Also make sure that RCTs are removing the club at training. Lastly be sure to remove people that have left KSI or that are no longer an officer in your Div. I understand that there are some names on these RCT Clubs that just will NOT delete, we need to make a list and keep track of it somehow so when your Dir or Sr Dir come asking you have answers for them. You can also receive various awards and a forums group. Maintaining the Omega (Generals) • Please make sure squad members game-types are set to the correct game-type to the squad they are in. It is also essential that we are ensuring that Privates are being trained and moved up in a timely manner. Once a Private reaches the 2 week period, you need to be asking yourself "Is this person fluff?". It is also just as important we are ensuring all Corporals are active in some capacity and not just fluff. RCTs and RCT Club • RCT Clubs need to be maintained and cleaned up. This means that ALL officers SSGT and up should be on the clubs so they can see when RCTs are ready to train. Also make sure that RCTs are removing the club at training. Lastly be sure to remove people that have left KSI or that are no longer an officer in your Div. I understand that there are some names on these RCT Clubs that just will NOT delete, we need to make a list and keep track of it somehow so when your Dir or Sr Dir come asking you have answers for them. It's important that as members of the community we are venting "Upwards" and not "Downwards". There is no shame in reaching out to someone to ask a question or get some advice. There are many people within the community with a plethora of knowledge and advice they can share with you! Don't be afraid to reach out. Maintaining the Omega (Generals) Please make sure squad members game-types are set to the correct game-type to the squad they are in. It is also essential that we are ensuring that Privates are being trained and moved up in a timely manner. Once a Private reaches the 2 week period, you need to be asking yourself "Is this person fluff?". It is also just as important we are ensuring all Corporals are active in some capacity and not just fluff. RCTs and RCT Club RCT Clubs need to be maintained and cleaned up. This means that ALL officers SSGT and up should be on the clubs so they can see when RCTs are ready to train. Also make sure that RCTs are removing the club at training. Lastly be sure to remove people that have left KSI or that are no longer an officer in your Div. I understand that there are some names on these RCT Clubs that just will NOT delete, we need to make a list and keep track of it somehow so when your Dir or Sr Dir come asking you have answers for them. Accessing the Omega It is really important as leaders within the community to ensure we are making sure we are logging into the Omega on a regular basis. We have noticed a number of people not logging in days at a time. Once 7 days is up you will be suspended from your access to the discretion of the Division Leader. Member Retention Every rank from RCT all the way up are important! Too often do we see CPLS and PVTS getting lost within the daily doings of the community. As leaders and members of the community it is our job to ensure all members are being included in all activities within the squad and division. If there is a member you think you haven't spoken too for a while, reach out to them, see what's happening. Seasonal Event Games and Gamemodes Divisional 7 staff, we need you to put your heads together and think of 3 potential games that could be used within seasonal events along with 3 game modes for those games. We want to see some new games that aren't usually used within seasonal events to keep things interesting and engaging for all members. Please message your Directors with your lists. As Spirit Week is designed to bring out the best in our members and to show off divisional pride, each division will play a part in deciding what games are selected for the main events! Due by next Friday (5/17/19), each division is to come up with 3 suggested games they would like to see events for as well as the gametype associated with them. After your division has selected, relay that information to your director for submission. Time to get hype! This is when the usage of an LOA is permitted. As of recent, however, there has been a spike of members that abuse this policy simply to shirk responsibilities. All LOA’s need to be approved by the proper chain of command meaning General or higher. Feeling “burnt out” is not a justifiable defense for taking an LOA. If you are granted an LOA yet you’re online playing every day with people more than you were off of LOA, you will be liable to face punishment and a possible rank loss. Integrate Recruits: It is important that when bringing in new members off of certain games, we as officers need to remember to help integrate and play those games with them. It does no good to recruit and dump them off with other people/squads all the time. It is our responsibility when we recruit someone of quality (somebody we want to play with) to hang out with them and show them the KSI way. Invite only parties: It is important to remember that during peak hours officers should not be in invite only parties. It sets a bad precedent for our members and might make them think that we don’t want to include them. Sometimes we have to be in invite only parties for meetings and lockdowns but for the most part we can and should be in open party's interacting with other people.That is the reason why we joined KSI. This is when the usage of an LOA is permitted. As of recent, however, there has been a spike of members that abuse this policy simply to shirk responsibilities. All LOA’s need to be approved by the proper chain of command meaning General or higher. Feeling “burnt out” is not a justifiable defense for taking an LOA. If you are granted an LOA yet you’re online playing every day with people more than you were off of LOA, you will be liable to face punishment and a possible rank loss. Integrate Recruits: It is important that when bringing in new members off of certain games, we as officers need to remember to help integrate and play those games with them. It does no good to recruit and dump them off with other people/squads all the time. It is our responsibility when we recruit someone of quality (somebody we want to play with) to hang out with them and show them the KSI way. Invite only parties: It is important to remember that during peak hours officers should not be in invite only parties. It sets a bad precedent for our members and might make them think that we don’t want to include them. Sometimes we have to be in invite only parties for meetings and lockdowns but for the most part we can and should be in open party's interacting with other people.That is the reason why we joined KSI. Division Transfers: Although no Div Leader wants to lose members we as leaders can not deny a Div Transfer. Each member of KSI has the right to move divisions if the division is not working for them anymore. It is unhealthy to keep people in a division if they do not want to be there anymore. Also there should never be ANY stipulation on any transfer for any reason. Understand that your Dir can and should brief the other Div Leader and their Dir of the member they are taking. Change Is Good Change can be difficult at times but it is a necessary step in KSI’s progression. We know that sometimes changes happen and you might not always see completely the reasons for said change, if that is the case it is best to ask in a civilized way the reasons behind the changes instead of jumping to conclusions. As KSI moves forward with a progressive mindset it is important to keep an open mind when it comes to trying new things. Upcoming Squad Splits: As we are approaching a lot of upcoming squad splits due to the recent changes to the squads/officer requirements we will be working on a format that will be used as a template for all further squad splits. This template will be used to ensure that all squads in the process of splitting do so under the notion that everything that is required and needing to be done is completed before splitting. Division Transfers: Although no Div. Leader wants to lose members, we as leaders cannot deny a Div. Transfer. Each member of KSI has the right to move divisions if the division is not working for them anymore. It is unhealthy to keep people in a division if they do not want to be there anymore. Also, there should never be ANY stipulation on any transfer for any reason. Understand that your Dir can and should brief the other Div. Leader and their Dir of the member they are taking. Change Is Good Change can be difficult at times, but it is a necessary step in KSI’s progression. We know that sometimes changes happen and you might not always see completely the reasons for said change, if that is the case it is best to ask in a civilized way the reasons behind the changes instead of jumping to conclusions. As KSI moves forward with a progressive mindset it is important to keep an open mind when it comes to trying new things. Donors Please make certain to join the VIP section by applying for the donor award. In order to qualify for this, you just must have spent 10 dollars by either subscribing to twitch tier 1 for two months (free with amazon prime) or tier 2 or tier 3 sub. One can also qualify for the donor award by donating bitcoins on twitter or by donating directly on the forums you just need to include a photo with proof of your donation. We have a special 3-day donors only event coming up next month where only those in the VIP section can participate. This is KSI’s way to thank all of you donors for helping our community.
