  1. The above mentioned method of recruiting was the standard of everyone in Halo2. Majority if not all of the leaders here today are spawns of that era. At one point it was a written method as detailed as yours portraying the same message. I guess at this point in time it has become an unwritten idea but an idea nevertheless put into effect since the Halo2 days. Since this is a "new" KSI-ish I guess since he wrote it down and all he should get award..?

  5. Going to be epic I'm sure. Great idea NP! To make things interesting you should have a few more things going on than just shoot/win/advance. Awards: 1) Tournament MVP (Criteria TBD by match judges) 2) "Conference" MVP (Criteria TBD by match judges) 3) Game MVP (Criteria TBD by match judges) 4) A game highlight reel for the rest of the community to feast their eyes on 5) Post tournament "Top 10 kill cams" (up to players to submit entries) 6) Best Field General (1st,2nd,3rd place | Criteria TBD by match judges) 7) Highest average K/D ratio (1st,2nd,3rd place) 8) If you want to go further in depth, aside from judges have "scribes" or "stat keepers" to total up who had the MOST .... (headshots / knife or throwing knife kills / etc... ) Vision: The idea is to have these other accolades within the tournament to really get these guys playing hard so at the end of the tournament win or lose, even individual players could have something to come away with. Bragging rights! Whether you want it to be like that or not, when it comes to any kind of tournament, esp in cod, there's no such thing as JUST a "friendly" tourney or whatever. There's always going to be bragging rights involved. So embrace it. It gives everyone added motivation to play hard for and earn. ALSO, when it comes to "match judges" or "scribes/stat keepers" this will get MORE members involved with this event and winner will be better appreciated by the community as they're more involved. - Maybe even allow the rest of us to spectate games per request? Spectators can use a private chat to comment on game while opposing teams use game chat (which gives match judges the chance to figure who the leaders of the field or "field generals" are and compare them). OR there can be someone sitting in on each team's private chat to observe and rate. Scope: I mean, if you're thinking as B I G as I'm thinking... the New's Team, Production's Crew, (if they're not too busy w/ other projects) and a few others will be involved with this. I envision this is a showcase for headhunters to show off their skills and teamwork just as college basketball players do the same during March Madness. Right now they're just a group of players who practice hard together and kick butt. But with this event in place, they'll be the pride and joy of squads as they're representing them by participating with in the tournament. If staffing for this event is a question then simply create a topic for recruitment to fill necessary positions to make it happen. Who WOULDN'T want to be a part of this? All that would really remain are resources and ironing out scheduling conflicts (i.e. how many matches/day, use same staff per match?, breaks?, etc) Too much? I dunno... just some things I'd personally like to see. And we really should have more tournaments and some that include "regular" members as well. This will really give ppl things to put in their sig

  6. Oh goodness.. Tempest is one of those people who spread greatness without EVER asking or expecting anything in return. Since the day he joined KSI he's been a pleasure to know, and someone who's gone above and beyond time and time again. Whether it be assisting members in KSI functions or just being an ear for someone to talk to and offer great advice or a laugh and smile, he definitely gives member assistance a new meaning. He has a proven to be a clear representation of Knowledge Strength and Integrity. I only wish that we could have more members like Tempest in KSI. I am a witness to his outstanding service, and believe he deserves these awards and that they may be long over due.

General of the month- KSI Paratroop 7 He's very organized and has not let me down yet... our meetings are very professional, and anytime help is needed he's there Captain of the month- KSI BRUINS FAN He's been on point with his new squad, and as a Capt. always tried to help (even if its with someone's incompetence), and was essential to me getting acquainted with many of the people in Divine Reign. Lieutenant of the month- KSI V00D00 He's just a good 'ol southern boy, who can argue with that? Member of the month- KSI ELITE 115 He rectuited me, showed me the ropes, and is always there to throw down and have some fun... As a new LT he has a great chance to prove his potential, and btw he's a recruiting beast!

  11. to elaborate: We are not claiming it does not meet the criteria because its not "new." We are saying it does not meet the criteria because the idea for a training curriculum was not yours. Others have made training curriculums for their divisions including myself. Yes it improves KSI but it wasn't yours. Do not assume we are misquoting the awards because you misunderstood what we said. Also, when i brought it up, i said it met the criteria for hot topic more closely but it did not meet the post criteria.

  12. These standards created by Shaolin are an essential EVERY DAY tool used in DL. Shaolin's contribution has helped immensely in streamlining the process of getting not only new recruits but new Sergeants and officers to understand both what is and will be expected of them. Empowering them with this knowledge makes all the difference in their success.

  14. WOW im really lost for word i feel humble that VEILSIX 7 im very greatful and respects his words and that of fellow members. I am but an ant carrying his pebble to his queen for the greater of the COLONY and thats the way i see myself in KSI and i will continue to carry my pebble were it needs me to GO. I am always here for advice no matter the situation and i wanna see everyone be successful and have fun at it to.

    AAP QUESTIONS

    Reasoning will be looked into and if you don't post any reasoning for why this member should deserve this award then the chances of that member getting that award will probably not happen. So post reasoning if you think they really deserve it.

  23. senior leader-? director-? co-div- Shaolin 7- The guy always is like the example of the perfect co div, and when he is taking care of problems doesnt overlook the little guys co founder- Paratroop 7-The guys has always helped anyone with any problem, always in touch with his generals, and displays proffessionalism i hate to say not all in KSI have general- KSI FULTZY 7- May not like to admit it, but my brother has been tearing it up, and Sacrifice(DR) wouldnt be what it is now Capt-KSI HOMICIDE- Taking care of business how a captain should, helping run a brand new squad in Genesis(DR), and still keeps in touch with a lot of the other squads, a true tean player Lt-KSI xtipitlaterx- This guy does a lot for the clan, and has microsoft point tournaments at least every other week to help his squad expand, definitely someone who puts the clan first member-KSI spirit 7- guy just came back, showed he means business, and already made the jump to general of a new squad, this guy has his act together forum staff-?

  31. Balphy has been a general sucsessfully more times then anyone else i can think of, he is the most out standing, and as far as Gold.....he has been with me in the FTLA since the begining, he was in my first class and he was my first mentor. he has taken it places i could have never imagined

  35. like 5 yeses and 2 no its all good(: i mean i understand where your coming from guys since in the long run the division did fall. but honestly idk one person besides a selected few like jess chaos or luci that can actually get stuff done by themselves in a division and hold it together. in 2 months i recruited well over 157 members easily and worked with them every single day over and over for a year. and do to the fact of 3 blacklisted members we lost a divison. i do believe i might not of been the most noticed division leader of that time like royal, queen jess, or teck. i still worked harder than anyone i knew. sorry if its a stupid point to come across cause i know many members are reading this thinking why are they even having this discussion with someone who lost his division.

There was not a training curriculum that told a member what to say and how to say it. that didn't exist. and there certainly was not one that benefited MOST of KSI. maybe a rough guideline here and there per division, but one that was across most of KSI and as complete? Apparently what i wrote is/was such a good idea that is went farther than ever. The idea was for there to be a comprehensive guide that ANY member, regardless of level of knowledge, could take and use to effectively and properly recruit. Show me one that did it as well and as completely before mine. I also find it curious that a recent modified version of "Game Night" got a yes from all of you for Bright Idea, without any hesitation, but a complete reworking of the recruiting process that had been effectively improving KSI for almost a year is getting a no. As well as a radio station idea that doesn't even encompass KSI as completely. If you are going to have a standard, then keep it the same. Hot Topic has to be a no though because none of the postings reached the "Hot" status...

  38. The new idea was the approach, and taking a guideline and creating and implementing a new procedure. I am witnessing for this to be a bright idea, because it was, is, and will continue to be a new and innovative idea to the generalization of "recruiting in KSI". The argument you all are indulging in is ludicrous to say the least. And another witness saying, HELL YESSSS for outstanding service. I'm surprised he doesn't have it already. This man is one of the most influential, and motivational members KSI has.

  39. Before we go back and forth for another 5 pages lets have the AAP staff just define it for us as to what the bright idea award entails. I was under the impression that its an award given to members who come up with new way or ideas to better KSI. In this case wear Shaolin's manual for recruiting may not be new it still betters KSI. From what I have seen that is the standard of KSI recruiting since day 1 of KSI's inception as a gaming community hence why it isnt a new idea or standard. BUT it is and still does benifit our members.

  40. It is not an old car with paint. Read the document. It is a step by step method that can be quoted VERBATIM and is extremely different than telling people to read the code of conduct as a recruitment speech. Take the time to read the document and understand what it does for a new member that may be nervous about recruiting and how to do it correctly. Maybe for you veterans it seems like old scratch, but to a member that has a lower amount of experience - it is a godsend. It is more than just a code of conduct. It is a defined way to explained it. It is a time saver for leaders as well. It has spread throughout KSI because it is a better, more efficient, more productive, and NEW way to handle recruitment and that standard. It may not be a "bright idea" for the old guys like us, but for the newer members and for the leaders that must lead them, it is certainly a bright idea. it is the body of an old car, completely revamped within and designed for anyone from a child to an old person to drive safely. That is why it is a bright idea.

The “Salute Incident†happened due to one General (KSI Salute, now a COFO in DL) becoming offended at some changes that occurred while he was away on vacation, then feeling that he and his service had been disrespected. After dRaMaTiC 7 tried to deescalate the situation, it ended up becoming worse and being taken up the ladder to Apocalypse7, where somehow Salute felt even more mistreated and cursing ensued. At this point it seemed that Salute would leave Dark Legions, and the leaders of Dark Legions were not sorry to see him go due to the way they were being addressed by him. However, to their chagrin and surprise, Salute decided to inform his squad (Shadow), his squad split (Rapture), and his old squad (Demise) of the perceived injustice. Almost every member in each squad after having heard Salute’s side of the story, decided they would leave with Salute… being to another Division or wherever he went. At this point, dRaMaTiC, Apocalypse, Shaolin (freshly back from his active duty/schooling and tossed directly into the fire), and QueenJess (brand new assigned to DL right in the middle of this incident) began talking to each member… individually, in groups, etc… for days, nonstop, deescalating the situation while trying to maintain a fair stance on the entire fiasco. After about 3 days of insanity during which many people had dropped squad tags, replaced their information with ???? instead of their squads and ranks… these guys managed to pull off a solution that kept all of the squads happy, retained every member that was lost or nearly lost, promote a new Co-Founder, and split a squad in the process. It was a highly intriguing time in DL and I can only hope I don’t have to deal with such a situation now that I’m a leader.
