 I was a councilman seat for that clan that never took off, I did all the work as per usual and I backed out and it fell on its face. It was destined to fail from the get go. And of course I was in KSI.

Integrate Recruits 

It is important that when bringing in new members off of certain games, we as officers need to remember to help integrate and play those games with them. It does no good to recruit and dump them off with other people/squads all the time. It is our responsibility when we recruit someone of quality (somebody we want to play with) to hang out with them and show them the KSI way

 

Squad Tag Security

Please remember when we are recruiting new members that they DO NOT add the squad tags during the recruiting process. This could create a security issue for the squad and its members. The recruit clubs/tags are used to weed out and are a second line of defence to keep those who would try to get into KSI and create issues for the squads. The Squad tags are not to be added until they are promoted to PVT during the training portion. 

  

Reporting Issues

Members and officers encountering issues that need to go up the chain of command need to be sure they are going up. Having an issue in the ranks of your division and not reporting it to the leadership can and will become very toxic. Withholding issues because “I did not want to say anything” is a problem and needs to be corrected immediately. We don't want it to wait and fester. Instead we want to get ahead of any issues and correct any issues before they become big issues resulting in rank suspension or removal from KSI. Waiting until an issue gets to where squads and divisions are losing members and officers is not healthy. 

Leadership Development Class Sign-Ups

This will be the last Leadership Development Class of 2019. After the first of the year we will start the classes again. 

 

Relationships (Officers and up)

There is nothing wrong with dating a fellow KSI member we can't help who we fall for. It is important that if officers enter into a relationship with a member or fellow officer no matter the squad both are in. It is always a good idea to let your Gen or 7's staff know about said relationship. You don't have to go into details just have to say "hey im dating so and so" that way if there is any drama that might affect the squad or division , then the GEN or 7's staff can get ahead of the situation.

We want you!

Are you interested in becoming an officer? Squads are always looking for more people to help out and give back to this wonderful community. If you have some extra time on your hands becoming an officer is fairly simple. You can host game nights, promote people up maybe even help recruit someone and show them the KSI love. If your interested you can ask one of your officers or your GEN about it. They are always looking for more people to help out and they would certainly appreciate the help. The more helpers the lighter the workload.

Member Retention

Every rank from RCT all the way up is important! Too often do we see CPLs and PVTs getting lost within the daily doings of the community. As leaders and members of the community it is our job to ensure all members are being included in all activities within the squad and division. If there is a member you haven't spoken too or seen in a squad meeting for a while, reach out to them, see what's happening. Ask them what kind of games and activities they want to see in the squad or how things can be improved to make things better for them.

Dirty laundry

When airing one's dirty laundry or a beef with someone don't post it in the casual chat on discord. Be an adult and discuss it with either the person you might have a problem with or bring it up to an officer. The casual chat is there for people to chat and have fun. There is no need to bring negativity into the chat that just ruins everyone's day.

 

Treating Your Officers Right

One of the biggest things we have as leaders is the ability to treat others with respect and communication. Treating your officers like team members and working together will be more productive for the squad and division. If your team can succeed together and fail together it builds a bigger and better team. Keeping all lines of communication open with each other good or bad helps that team build strength and divisions.

Turkey Bowl & Holidays 

This year has been a long one for most of us but we have roughly 2 more months left to finish strong. Keep in mind we have Turkey Bowl coming up in late November (11/29/19) so be sure to spread the word and get your members signed up! Also with the holiday season coming in full swing, let’s make sure we are gaming and having fun with each other and head into 2020 with high morale and excitement for a new year of GAMING!!!!

Support Each Other 

As a member  it’s important to show support for your fellow officers. If a fellow officer is hosting a game night / meeting  and your online either by yourself or with fellow squad mates you can and should join the game night / meeting and bring others with you. We all know what it’s like to have no one show up to a game night / meeting but we can support each other, we’re all in this together

Be respectful 

Please remember that all of us come from different walks of life. Please treat everyone with dignity and respect that you would like to be shown. Also you should know your audience and if someone doesn't like where the conversation is going or if you step over the line you can apologize and move on to a different subject. Remember we are all here to game and have fun with like minded individuals.

ANGELS NOTES: update on angels and ES. ES has lost a couple staff members both div wide and squad wide. starting with angels we have lost members to LSN. SOUTHPARK and his gang went with paraspike to make their own community for disagreements between them and staff and has taken people with them. You guys and gals are a team and should always be working together toward the greater good for your squad/division. To be patient with each other and work together toward a common goal of better Communication with everyone.

Teamwork 

Teamwork is key to success. Everyone should be working together with their staff and making sure that the day to day operations are being fulfilled. If someone or multiple people are struggling, reach out and see what you can do to help. WE ARE A TEAM we're not just here to kick back and let everyone else do all the work while we watch and play games. 

Transparency 

Divisional & Squad Leadership - Please remember that although every decision may not be one open for discussion/debate, It is important to be as transparent as possible with the leaders and members beneath you. When making decisions about what direction a squad/division heads in or any promotions/demotions that may be received, It is important to keep those under you informed as to why these things are happening and why certain decisions are made. The ultimate way to reach a feeling of inclusion and family is for people to have their thoughts and feelings are taken into consideration.

Blacklisted/Security Risked Communities

Please remember that members and communities designated as Blacklisted (or Security Risked) are on a strict no contact policy. This means you are not to message them on any platform, join their parties and have discussions, etc. These individuals are designated as blacklisted for a specific reason; mainly it is to ensure the safety and security of all our members and the community as a whole. If a member of these communities reaches out to you , you are to screenshot the message , block the individual and report it to your Divisional 7’s staff. Please remember to always check who is inviting you before joining a party; Check Gamerscore, Following/Followers, if they are in your squad clubs, etc. Be Safe!

New Log Channel (Gens and up) 

You might have noticed a new useful channel in Discord server. It is an audit log of all deleted/edited messages. This channel Will help the Gens and 7's staff maintain and monitor what happens in their prospective server. If something was said in a channel but you were busy or at work this channel let's you know exactly what was said so that appropriate action can be taken to ensure a better KSI experience for all the members. 

Posting of screen shots and other info that needs to be filed for the division can be posted in this channel as well. I think it will be easier to look back on them and find them. Also GENs and up are the only ones with access.
 

Invite only parties 

It is important to remember that during peak hours officers should not be in invite only parties. It sets a bad precedent for our members and might make them think that we don’t want to include them. Sometimes we have to be in invite only parties for meetings and lockdowns but for the most part we can and should be in open party's interacting with other people.That is the reason why we joined KSI.

Omega Sign Ins 

Please make sure that you and your staff are signing into the omega. There should be no reason why multiple 7's and generals are going offline for 4, 6 or even 7 days. Please remember that we do get notified when you are off for 4 days and when you hit 7 you will serve a rank suspension.

 

NEW GAMES OCTOBER & Be Careful: 

This month we will be enjoying 2 new games being released on Xbox, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare & Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: BreakPoint. Recruiting tends to be very active especially with the new Call of Duty dropping. As always, make sure we are looking for active individuals with good personalities and be aware of any potential blacklist or security risk individuals trying to sneak into KSI. WE ARE INVITE ONLY community, if you are reached out to about getting recruited; direct that individual to join/rejoin section on the forums.


Encouragement 

Remember we as leaders are looked up to by our members and officers, so taking 5 min to give a member or officer a good job goes a long way. Asking and not demanding is such a better way to get your Div moving in the right direction. An officer telling a RCTing member that they did a great job on there last RCT can lead to more positive growth. Kindness and communication is a great tool for our members and each other.

Please make sure your members, officers, and generals know that the join area is for 7's usage only. There should be no reason why anyone besides the 7 staff of that respective division is posting. 

 

New Log Channel (Gens and up) 

You might have noticed a new useful channel in Discord server. It is an audit log of all deleted/edited messages. This channel Will help the Gens and 7's staff maintain and monitor what happens in their prospective server. If something was said in a channel but you were busy or at work this channel let's you know exactly what was said so that appropriate action can be taken to ensure a better KSI experience for all the members. 

Posting of screen shots and other info that needs to be filed for the division can be posted in this channel as well. I think it will be easier to look back on them and find them. Also GENs and up are the only ones with access.

The October Upload Studio Montage Competition and Clip Submission will be open from October 4th through October 25th. Clips submitted this month will have a chance to be featured as a "Clip of the Week" during the month of November on KSI's YouTube Channel.

FadeZ is a real OG, he is always putting time aside for his members to make sure they are satisfied on their needs. For example he is currently my mentor in GSM and makes sure that we know what we are doing. He is always clear about his instructions and makes sure we are following along. He’s never afraid to talk to someone and loves to be around people, making this community more at home with each person he reaches out to.

ANGELS is formulating an R6 competitive team to take to the top. Reasoning why they deserve this - I will admit I've written about this member a couple times and id do it again... since her transfer her I have never seen eye to eye with her. THIS HOT HEADED HAT still amazes ne with the amount of patience and dedication she has for her members. I can say by experience because ive been nothing but problems for her she I guess sees past my issues and has given me chances I shouldn't have been given, I honestly should have been removed but she stands up for me and puts up with my non-sense. im sure im not the only member she does this to witch is the reason im saying this. she keeps this div safe by making sure people are sticking to the rules and that's how it should be. I may be a problem child @Hatter 77 but I low key give you props, cheers, and respect.

The one thing I want to be the best at: Becoming a better Leader, Mentor, and Member.

Why:

     The reason I choose more than one and the words the topics that I chose is because of the fact that I have been in KSI for a good amount of time. 4 year track record not including fluffing and re-recruitment. I personally have seen many come and go, vanish, poached, betrayed, and some that are still strong and well here. I have worked my way up as far as GEN and continued to see growth, compromise, and failures. It is sincerely heart breaking to watch but that brings me to my first word as "Leader".

     I started my Leadership interest since I chanced my gamer tag to reflect KSI like everyone else but didn't get the sheer pressure of leadership until I hit Lieutenant (LT). we had lost our Gen and I was losing my closely loved officers in arms to choices that differed to the benefit of not only the squad but the DIV putting the squad into disarray causing me to step up my game on multiple fronts and taking well over what my LT roll required. I had finally made it to gen with little training, practically no 7's for guidance or mentoring, and a dead squad I was determined to get back up and running. I did manage to jump start the squad back to its feet but I was not trained and mentored the right information needed to keep me in the position I was in and I felt like I could have done better if I knew what needed to be known and how exactly to go about things. I mentored people who will be brought up in the next word as "Mentor"..

     While I was getting the squad of ANGELS back to its working functionality it wasn't easy doing every job as the only officer in the squad for a solid 1-2 years but along that raw time I have got to meet many people who were both former officers, new officer, as well as current officers who who are no longer within ANGELS staff but along those times I mentored any and all that I could with what little information I had and could obtain to help not only me but the squad. 2 officers stood out the most to me KSI Nagisa (who is now current Gen of the now prospering squad of ANGELS) and KSI DIRTYMAX90 (an officer who is no longer within KSI but was a very dedicated officer at his time) these two had taken a lot into consideration and helped me get the squad going when I thought all hope was lost. I game them all the information that I could and they shot up the ranks like no tomorrow. I mentored as best as I could even until I had to step down and pass the torch. I look at what is happening now and it has become a domino affect with not only the squad but the DIV. I keep eyes on what happens and yes there are things I wish I taught them. I feel I could have done better as a mentor but failed to do so. I want to continue motivating current, new, and future members to take the reins and step up to the plate as members to officer bringing me to my next and final word of "Member".

      Being a Member you see lots of things that the officers and up actually don't get to see since most of the time they are busy. I've don't my research and seen all sides don't worry. but for me I believe I could have been a better member all round. I have never been the best member nor will I ever be. I wish I participated more, I wish I was their for other members more, I wish I wasn't such a hot headed rebel who did nothing but cause problems because he didn't like how things were going, and I wish I included more members in many activities and conversations. I personally have failed as a member and I believe I could have done better. I am one of the causes on why ES has not been or have been the bESt. one day I hope to get better but its not going to be easy.

     throughout my KSI career I look back and see nothing but few accomplishments and more disappointments and one member can make all the difference if he/she/or they just try. I obviously didn't try hard enough. I just… could have done better. That’s why I want to excel as a returning officer and a current member with in KSI.

@KSI Nagisa just like the previous comment from king those details are facts and as the previous gen he has helped me since the get go. I know I was never the greatest but when he was their he did more and more than what was required both by the handbook and by the previous gen, as well as the 7 leadership within the div. when I stepped down and he took over as gen he has never stopped. He has not just help build the foundation of angels but the whole div to keep people involved.

What is there to say about KSI Hatter? Jesus there is actually ALOT. For starters she transferred to ES a good couple months back and was determined. I do not know WHAT kinda fire ignited her but she has worked ENDLESS days and ENDLESS nights to resurrect her first project squad banshee and by god she did it in record time that I remember. After her promotion not long before spring break she continued to strive for increasing the strength of the div and making it her goal to train not only me on my rank to ensure I can do it right as a gen but everyone else as an officer as well. She has bent over backwards to teach me even when she is not home.

She is an inspiration to many and has completely changed my view on her. She pushed for greatness and lit us up and pushed us for greatness showing us that if we worked together for once we could accomplish something OUTSTANDING, and the outcome you say? Well that was the absolute stampede we brought to spring break taking the first place by force on both the poll and The events. She is an officer with passion and is a prime example for everyone to look up to, I sure do. 

I can’t wait to see what else she pulls out of her HAT hehe hatter pun but I’m excited.

Reasoning why they deserve this - Venum has come to ES as a PO officer and worked his ass of in that roll, helping as best as he can. He was dubbed the nickname KESH by angels officers. From what I was hearing from a lot of other people is that he keeps the snow ball rolling to a giant avalanche in his div to better it. Reasoning why they deserve this - this member has blown me away in the position he is in as 1ST CPT of ANGELS squad. He ensures that everything runs smoothly, takes all reports from any sort of action from the officer (like weekly reports on the officers) and keeps the GEN informed. He is truly the second in command and helps the GEN solve problems and gives him ideas to help improve the squad. His devotion leads him to countless nights of NO SLEEP and our motto is sleeping is for the weak. Keep it up CPT you’ll go far.
